Social media to market real estate properties is a great idea. The key is to have a lead machine in place probably a blog. Market your blog using social media sites like facebook, twitter without spamming them on a slow basis. At the same time, focus on SEO.
Blogging is the best way and using youtube videos as well to attract leads through the internet.
Awesome! Great tips! Thanks for going through each site and showing how the realtor has marketed themselves. This is a GREAT way to get your name out there and generate leads. Nice Video.
There's Tweetdeck that allows you to setup tweets in advance to be sent at specific times. Once you get the hang of it, like anything else you implement, it gets easier to make it a part of your daily activities. I'd say you can manage all you social media in less than one hour per day. Good luck!
Ok, so all of this is really great information, but a major question that I have about this is where does she find the time to actually update all of this stuff? I have 2 very active children and somewhat of a life so I feel that if I am spending my "workday" working, when do you find time to blog and tweet and all that other great stuff? Is there a method? Just feel like you will spend a lot of time doing "busy" work and have a small amount of time for productive work. Where is the balance?
Yeah using social media sites destroys your productivity. The key is to think of it like regular work. You need to manage things property by creating a daily routine.
Example - 3 blog posts from 9:00-10:00. One post on facebook, twitter and linkedin from 10:00-10:30 and one video on youtube from 10:30-11:00. And then the next one hour, you focus on promoting these pages.
You can email your friends, social bookmark it or do certain other things.

A great tool for real estate agents with Twitter is TweetLister.
With TweetLister you can:
-Post and re-use as many listings as you want for residential, commercial, vacation and any other type of property.
-Schedule each listing to post as often as youd like for a set period of time - until it sells, rents or leases!
-Build enhanced listing detail pages.
-Create broker/owner profiles.
-Post to multiple Twitter accounts.
And best of all - its FREE!
