After hearing Dujardin trying to express himself fully in English, it is refreshing to hear the depth of his feeling about the making of the film and how he prepares for a role, without the encumbrance of the language barrier. He has such a grasp of the emotion and intensity of silent film, and his approach is thoughtful and researched. Truly an elegant man, reminiscent of old Hollywood!

I like what he said about film today being more dehumanized and going back to the roots of silent film is truly beautiful. I've been watching silents since I was thirteen and have always felt this insanely strong connection to it. The Artist is wonderful and I hope it encourages people to remember the era and not let any more of those films be forgotten or lost. Jean is a breath of fresh air, he has many qualities that the best actors have and many Hollywood actors today clearly do not. J'adore!
brilliant interview- he gives such honest, open answers. I love this film, I love all the performances, especially Uggie & Jean & Berenice. I loved the music. it is like the perfect film to come out when the last year was full of action, rom coms, dramas etc etc...this is the perfect end to a year of noise...to hark back the simpleness & the joys of silent cinema. with such a simple story. it just sums up what the audience wanted, but didn't know they wanted..if that makes sense.BEAUTIFUL :D
