Tropical storm Gabrielle hits Florida 9-14-2001 - radar loop

Whoa. I was there when this storm hit. We were on an island, got hit really bad. It's surreal seeing footage like this now. That was an interesting vacation. We were stuck there a little longer than planned because of both the storm and 9-11

I'm assuming 90% of the country didn't even know much if at all about this storm since it was only 3 days after 9-11-01.

Exactly right. They didnt close the schools down here, luckily no one was hurt.
