@shiney94 When a life form reproduces, small mistakes are made in the DNA called mutations. These are random. Natural selection is the circumstances in nature that cause a life form to die. For example, a new predator on the scene, your pray going extinct, new diseases, changing weather, isolation etc etc... But without variation within a species, they wouldn't evolve.

As far as the Qur'an goes, humans were made from a special clay/soil, water, dust at least initially. Now if you analyse our body composition, u will see that we have a large percentile of water, and the components of soil are in our body (i.e. zinc and calcium).
The fact remains that the quran talks about adam as the first man on earth. There was NEVER a first man or woman on earth. We're not made from clay or soil and there's no mention of the chemical elements that we're made from.

The idea of an afterlife in heaven came from harsh times when there was very little food, water and vegitation and so on... If you were a good person who believed in god then you'll go to heaven, if not - then hell.

@shiney94 When a life form reproduces, small mistakes are made in the DNA called mutations. These are random. Natural selection is the circumstances in nature that cause a life form to die. For example, a new predator on the scene, your pray going extinct, new diseases, changing weather, isolation etc etc... But without variation within a species, they wouldn't evolve.
Over 99% of all species that have ever lived have gone extinct.

@shiney94 Evolution is a branching tree, not a ladder! If you take one species which becomes isolated by water, mountains, islands etc, then due to the differing selective pressures (natural selection) it may evolve new traits.
One species is NOT born into another. It's a slow process that happens over a vast amount of time. Please google search for "ring species"

Humans have only been around for the last 200,000 years whilst life on earth has been going on for around 3.8 billion years. Mass extinctions have always happened and had nothing to do with humans.
But you're right that the way we live our lives 'today' is causing another mass extinction.

As far as the Qur'an goes, humans were made from a special clay/soil, water, dust at least initially. Now if you analyse our body composition, u will see that we have a large percentile of water, and the components of soil are in our body (i.e. zinc and calcium).

@saifeldein100 No one knows wheather there's an afterlife. Even through religion you have to have 'faith' to believe it (because there's no evidence).
The idea of an afterlife in heaven came from harsh times when there was very little food, water and vegitation and so on... If you were a good person who believed in god then you'll go to heaven, if not - then hell.
But why don't we make a better life for our children in THIS LIFE! This is the one that counts!

firmament means border. someone suggested 7 heavens=7 latmospheric layers. but a quranic verse contradicts it. the universe is expanding but we dont know it its infinite or wont lead to a big crunch. read abt superstring theory. our 3d world could simply be a 2d world to a higher dimension like how a 3d world is represented on a 2d scren. is this the explanation for 7 heavens? dunno i think its one of the unperceivables that need to be believed because its in a book with perceivable truths
