Im using a Aspire 3002, which basicly sucks in comparison to this, since it has 256mb ram by default, a 40gig HDD, and integrated graphics. Im glad I upgraded RAM to 768mb

I got my version of this laptop almost 3 years ago, it's had water spilled on it, it's been rained on through an open window, I don't know how many times I've dropped it, and it's still working pretty good, it's a tough fucker.

The only thing is, that just started today, the sound is fucked up, even with headphones, it stretches and echos, friggin retarded.

Yeh, it's under spec for Vista, especially when you bring Norton into the mix. God knows why Vista has to be such a fat ,heavy bastard. Runs great with XP Home, or Ubuntu. reliable lappy.

I have the exact name aspire 3050 but it comes with 512MB DDR2 RAM and Windows Vista Basic....horrible...poor performance..had to instal XP on it and the performance is still very slow. Even msn lags like hell after you logged in and waiting like 10-15 seconds to respond. Save yourself some money, dont buy it.

Lol for the demonstrations, they have been using the Media Center from MCE 2005! Anyways, I have the 5570-2887, which is like the one shown here, but It's got 2gb's of RAM and a 160GB HDD. One thing I don't like alot, is the fact that they use a dual core Pentium, which is just bed, it's not stable mainly because the Pentium wasn't meant to be dual core. Anyways does anybody have the 5570-2997? I mean everytime I check, it's not around anymore, and it's only in different countries, not the US!

You have to shut down the Empowering (pshh) Technology. Mainly you can just stop it from starting by resetting it in Windows Mobility Center.
