  • Do people not pull over in these countries? or slow down?

That red truck and the other car seemed not to give a fuck.

  • @ghostliner45 The Van and the car infront of it on the intersection? They probably didn't have a chance to do much more than they did if they had road noise, stereos going, etc. Emergency Vehicles are not meant to travel particularly fast against red lights, the point being that it's meant to give them the chance to avoid those who aren't expecting to see someone come out in front of them.

  • WOW that young (?) Lady does her Job very good.We hav some like her here in Germany too but the most doesnt drive herself, most are men who drive.

  • its allready burned before this slow truck is there

  • Nice horn, Ford Cargos didnt have one like that in the UK lol

  • the siren sounds like wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!

  • i rember that fire call out that is in my home town

  • nothing wrong with our firetrucks in nz this siren is the warble sound very good very loud nothing like you guys still using the mechanical sirens so boring

  • Can anyone tell me what is the brand name and model of that siren? I'd love to have one in America. It's unique and bad ass. It sounds like the NZ version of the PowerCall

  • utmost respect for the boys and girls in the services!!

  • where is this

  • where is this

  • my home town

  • I think the siren is designed to sound as fast as the truck !

  • @pumper8032 If you notice the speed limit is only 70km per hour

  • here in california, that same siren is used as a house burgler alarm.

  • It is nice to see people don't yield to emergency vehicles in NZ. It is not just New Jersey!

  • @pd007fd New Zealand traffic lights don't have pre-emption. People are expected to give way (yield) to all emergency vehicles with lights and/or sirens going even if they have a green light. It's just stupidity.

  • @lcmortensen We have a law that says the motorist must yield the right of way to an emergency vehicle...but they don't always do that. I love it when the continue traveling along the shoulder of the roadway going past intersections. I guess they don't think we might want to turn into the street or driveway they are driving by. Be safe!

  • answome siren

  • o man i think it would be sooo kewl to be aloud to ride in da firetruck ..i be all clapping and yelling GOOO FASTER !!!! lolz

  • @Annasavi hey bro its going fast enough 130km

  • giving the poor ol girl death there heading down the statehighway lol, nice to see other brigades round aotearoa.

  • lame...

  • So it's official. That is the WORST SIREN EVER MADE IN THE HISTORY OF...WELL....SIRENS!

  • it cant be as bad as theuk police sirens

  • @fireAKems i dont like this siren, but its there to do a job, i like the sirens that the ambo's have, the wail is incredibly loud, and the yelp

  • how slow can they go lol

  • she was a bit on the slow side.... still its a heavey truck and if its an older one it wont be very quick anyway.

  • Nice video, rate awesome.

  • Needs some LTS locktronic sirens :-D

  • awesome horn, but they really could give you a beefier truck...

  • ship em a pierce or seagrave with a 2 stroke diesel, and a Q.

  • Do they come in right-hand drive?

  • lol, idk, but you could prolly get the engine and siren installed on one of your rigs.

  • There are a few RHD American fire vehicles around NZ, but they're a dying breed. Try my vids of Auckland 205, Parnell 256, and Papatoetoe 345...

  • Good to see this put up, please post more. This is the real side of NZ emergency services - not the cut-down version they show on Motorway Patrol!

  • i drive past that fire station every day - quite cool seeing a little bit of what you guys do every day. that old beast of a truck could do with a bit more power tho :D

  • thats a hell of a horn! i love it

  • Firemen rule !!! (Dannevirke volly)

  • I live in Pram and drive down that route everyday.

Anyway, just thought Id let you guys (and girls) know you do a shit hot job (no pun intended) and We (Paraparaumu residents) wish you guys a Merry Xmas and a safe 2008.

    Pete.
