Transformers G1 is the only well written transformers there's been- even if the animated series of today is "genius", I doubt it holds up to the standards of say, someone who read voraciously and considers Philip K. Dick & Ellison gifts to the written word. Transformers Animated looks like garbage to me. Sounds like it to. Seen it, the show's a disgrace.

Now, before you jump on the Trukk not munky BS that G1 fans are so fond of, let me say this: IT'S A CHILDREN'S FRANCHISE MEANT TO APPEAL TO CHILDREN AND SELL TOYS. Kids love every transformers series and snap up the toys like candy thus succeeding in the purpose. Stop treating it like it's goddamn Shakespeare, each series does exactly what it's meant to. Transformers changes every couple years or so they're supposed to they're TRANSFORMERS!

Haha well it's a take from G1 Headmasters line..and Fortress Maximus was like that..same kind of design for this show too it seems...Fort Max's toy back in the day was freakin MASSIVE..it was like 2 1/2 feet tall. The biggest transformers toy made.

Armada and Cybertron were ok. R.I.D. and Energon were pretty terrible and Animated is the worst one yet. So cheesy and kiddie that it isn't even worth watching. It is too slapsticky and feels targeted towards 7 year olds. G1 and G2 are the best!

there was never a G2 it was just G1 with a different transition picture... and Animated has some of the best plots so far, and it's surprisingly dark, your telling me Sentinel Prime is a kid friendly character, he is basically the KKK. Acree and Omega Supreme are also pretty dark One is basically mind wiped and left a potatoe that screws her up and Omega Supreme is basically suicidal for a robot. on the other hand Energon wasn't even worth talking about it was done that badly.
