@elqueso, I'll give you the apple proprietary crap it is what they do, it is why they're closed and sure they maybe efficient, but here's where Android comes in, its based on unix/linux just like iOS however its getting more powerful via its innovation/openess. and dual core will just fuel the power. Just remember this, apple has upped the iPhone processor yoy - year over year, because it needed it ask anyone with an iPhone 3G on iOS4 how they feel about performance and their multitasking.

Does the ishit 4 have a 1gb of Ram, uh no...Does the ishit 4 have a 4" screen, no and the screen is crisper. iShit can only use the facetime app for peer to peer video chatting, the moto atrix doesn't. iShit may come with 32gb flash memory but the atrix has upgradable memory.

PSP, you may be right, its nothing radical, however from a marketing aspect, 3DS will still retain the audience itys targeted at, since this does not offer the main perks of the 3ds

3D display (its unique, ALOT of market audience) 3D Camera (still rare on mobile devices) Exclusive games (Nintendo's popular games and franchises, and other partners. People looking for a full gaming experience will not even consider the Atrix as an option)

@7Slate I guess my point is that as cellphones get better and better at games, dedicated gaming handhelds will progressively lose their appeal because they'll offer no advantage (cellphones will do 3D soon enough). If I were a game developer right now, I'd be developing for cellphones, not DS or PSP. There's more money in it, less cost, easier distribution, a bigger market, and it's not like you can't do high end stuff.

@sgddfgfghfgh I wouldn't go that far - perhaps it's been oversold but it does have its uses. Ultimately however consumers will decide. The biggest problem with 3D is that it screws up childrens eyes because they're still developing.

it gives you a headache

it takes away from the sharpness of colours

it's more expensive yet adds very little
