  • Clementine is also the best sound quality player I have found for Linux.

  • I am going to have to check this out

  • Looks like a very well polished music player I'll have to give it a try sometime.

  • This app is awesome. I've been looking for a good open-source, cross-platform music player with library support. Songbird was nice until it kicked Linux support and became bloated and commercialized. Clementine seems like a good choice and it manages my large FLAC library well. I don't want ads or tons of "buy song" crap everywhere, I already have my music and I just want something that is good at playing it.

  • @CalcProgrammer1 Yes its a great player, I've been using it for the past few months.

The feature I like is the random playlist really is random rather than in Banshee or Rhythmbox (which I used to use) would pretty much pick the same 30 songs every time

  • thanks my friend

  • This doesn't work on Leopard on Mac it just crashes when I open it

  • @Ograws Thats strange. Can't help I got no Mac system to use

  • @quidsup thats okay but thanks for the video :)

  • I still use iTunes, mainly because i found it lighter in ram than the other ones i use in Windows 7 and it looks the best out of the ones i've tried. But if Linux worked with my headphones for me to listen to music i would defiantly have this (and not be typing from Windows)

  • Clementine is the better Amarok.

BTW Try changing the left bar to vertical buttons, looks far cooler, doesn't it? Like the good ol' Fast Forward Amarok.

  • @SeltsamerAttraktor Cool yeah thats different

  • The Distro i use comes with this by default. i certainly like it better then amarock.

  • It looks cool, haven't tried it but I have yet find a good media organiser comparable to Media Player or Realplayer.

  • @tostoday Weirdly the first time I used this was in my mates Windows 7 PC cos we needed something that had better support for my MP3 collection. Realplayer? is that still going, I remember that from years ago when it was full of spyware.

  • @quidsup I use Media Player with the K Lite codecs--smooth sailing. Realplayer works also--don't recall any spyware lately.

  • It's quite good but there's no podcast support, I need it for my ipod classic, so I'll stick with Rhythmbox which i prefer over banshee

  • @irishgandalf757 Shame its missing some key features. I used to like Rhythmbox but its random play wasn't really random enough for my liking.

  • Nice looking app,This looks like it could be well worth trying..

  • Hi quidsup :)

Don't forget to put the windows of cheese above the others.

    In French :

Faire un click droit sur la barre de la fenêtre de cheese.

    Choisir : "Au premier plan"

    In (my bad) english :

Right click on the windows of cheese.

Choose an option like : "on the top"

    ;-)

  • actually WMP 12 was about the only thing i liked about windows 7.

  • @miasmablk I could never give it much of a fair test as it wouldn't recognise about 90% of my MP3s. Strange they played fine on PS3, bluray player, and two car stereos.

  • @quidsup that is strange, It always worked seamlessly for me..and i really liked the DLNA media streaming features

  • @miasmablk No worries I've not had much luck with Win7 overall.

  • @quidsup me either ;)
