I have struggled with this issue a bit, but my situation is different than those in broadcast radio. My shows are webcast live and available for download afterward.
On the one hand, I'm not beholden to any FCC restrictions. I can be as foulmouthed or racy on the air as I want without fear of legal reprisal. On the other hand, however, I'm also conscious that too much of anything, particularly things that aren't acceptable to all or at least the vast majority of my listeners can be a turn off.
