  • i begin to speak about the way it was, im 57, they were alittle bit older, we cared back then, a song , a picture, it mattered, can you imagine , a song these boys giving it all and no for money,

  • RIP Pete, Tommy, and Mike (don't forget Mike!). The music lives on,

but we miss you guys so much.

  • THANK YOU!! "No Dice" is so superb! My CD version has 5 extra bonus tracks, 5 that were not released with the original vinyl recording. God bless BF!

  • Such sweet music!! From the heart.

  • Amen there q12. The two LPs "No Dice" and "Straight Up" are still two of my favorites.

  • I looooove this song... i loveeee badfinger... i´m 22 years old, but i love badfinger

  • SLUMBERS2 - AWESOME, EXCELLENT, PERFECT description, 100% I agree.

  • Great sound!

  • Tom and Pete still rock, such a shame, RIP boys xxx

  • Such a brilliant, talented band. Makes me very sad to think that if it were not for (their manager) stealing their money, and that Pete felt he had no other options... what would have been their fate. Indeed, Pete and Tommy left us far too soon.

  • Man,Pete was great on the keys, lead guitar, bass. He could sing, AND he wrote like a genius.Mostly,he had heart.Without heart,as we have seen, all the talent in the world is wasted.Make a commitment to speak up when you see injustice towards someone and do something. There is nothing positive in thinking about Pete and Tom ending their lives when they had so much to live for unless we all make a commitment to help those beautiful creative people who would do anything for us when they are down.

  • @q12tube

Nicely said. I had a brother who died 12 years ago because he too was a creative beautiful person who was crushed by life. I now have a 20 year old son who is also a wonderful gentle kind humble musical genius. I will back him all the way and support him and protect him. you can view him playing on my youtube site.... he plays the blues. BADFINGER was the BEST ... never forget them... and let the music live on.

  • They were so great! The world needs to see and hear their songs more often!

  • Badfinger will be remembered always as the best band ever. There will never be another Pete and Tom. I miss them.

  • Anyone else think he sounds like John Lennon?

  • @roooooskiproductions only the world. no really, it was quite known they were quite like the beatles in many ways. they were the first band signed to apple records. the beatles engineers were astounded at how similar their voices were.

  • @roooooskiproductions

I think Badfinger was one of the first bands that Apple Records (The Beatles label) signed, weren't they? Didn't Harrison play that guitar solo on Day After Day?

  • THANKS FOR POSTING SO MANY...where did you get them?

  • Wonderful vocal performance. One of my fave badfinger songs

  • @bsifl35 This is fantastic~~~~~I never heard this before..wow

  • @kristlkrost I remember discovering this song for the first time too. Great fun! Badfinger albums Straight UP and No Dice are like greatest-hits albums and are equally as good as this song.

  • In December of 1970 I bought the Album "No Dice" by Badfinger. I didn't buy it because I was a Badfinger Fan, I bought it because I liked the full length photo of the exotic looking beautiful woman in the Belly Dancing outfit and I thought the band had a cool name. After one listen it was on, I became a lifetime Badfinger fan. I'd really like to thank that dark haired beauty for introducing me to this awesome band.

  • The best song the Beatles never wrote. Fantastic harmonies and solid performance.

This group had everything going for it except management. In my eyes they were the direct fallout from Apple Records legal problems.

  • @morleygrey The problems at Apple had nothing to do with Badfinger's problems, they probably made millions but Stan Polly took it. Stan Polly had no ties to Apple records. In fact, I think that Badfinger had left Apple Records before it all went down. It didn't affect James Taylor and he was the first act signed to Apple. Badfinger was the first group.

  • Love it ~

  • This song brings me to my knees... Such fantastic layering and vocal.

  • this was when studio rock was still good.

  • Pete Ha m was such an amazing raw talent. R.I.P. Pete and Tom.

  • @drywalldude9999 hR PLAYS DRUMS LIKE GINGER BAKER.

  • "No Dice";...what a fine album! "No Dice" and "Straight Up"--the two best albums from a superbly talented band. God only knows just how many fine artists get screwed over by unscrupulous businessmen. Thank you for posting!

  • the two of them together is amazing.

  • @pongqi Yes! Tommy Evans and Pete Ham - the BEST!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome!!

  • I Like this song is very romantic

  • the year was 1970 the Beatles had just Disbanded and "Badfinger" was....

  • Badfinger is one of my favorites. Hall of fame wake up. God bless peter, Tommy and Mike. This music will live on forever.

  • Beatles had so many problems of their own. Still fighting with APPLE.

  • Great song, still got the record.. man.. still in great shape..

  • hey guys let be may come to your senses that STAN is not the name of Mr.Polley.....His name is SATAN POLLEY.....may the curse goes to stan polley..the rest of his family until the coming generation that will discover the BADFINGER..& may the warner bros..will come to the end..so many great company over hundred years...finally drooped down..May warner bros will also goes beyond down beyond everyone's expectations...Bless the soul of these of Pete,Tommy,Mike...

  • thankyouthankyouthankyou for sharing! What a cut up (Joey Molland) at the end. It's obvious in these videos that he took a lot of enjoyment out of performing and that he still does. Thank goodness he didn't let the sh*t get to him like Ham and Evans did...long live Badfinger!

  • this world was too hard for Pete and Tommy... too hard..

Now Pete, Tommy, and Mike are hanging out, jamming in the great beyond.

    So sad....

  • Polley beware!

  • if only i could go back in time, Stan Polley would have an "accident" he still could have an "accident"

  • @MsSpider26 Well, he could but he's dead now. :-) Died in July of 2009!

  • justice should be done for this group and their families. the case should be re-opened. Where is the polley guy he should be prosecuted and crucified. And why isnt the Beatles commenting anything on their deaths. They seem to be having a good life.

  • i'm a fan of The Beatles and kinda upset with this matter as well...that they seem to don't do anything to save these boys!

  • @taegooksaram Well, like someone else said.... The Beatles had a lot on their own plate. They couldn't tend to Badfinger's every need. Even George abruptly left as Producer to organize the Bangladesh concert. Seemed there was always other things going on that took the band's "mentors" away from them. Kind'a sad... but that's the music biz for yuh!

  • The old saying "Bad Karma" will avenge!

I totally agree..Peter hamm was the pure poet and was a songwriter that incoprporated the events around his life in the music he played.. Very trusting,, Imagine, writing 90% of the the bands music and NOT wanting a majority of the cut.. He was a sharing individual which is unheard of today it's said to say!

'What come around goes around" Stan Polley!

May the ghosts of these fine musicians haunt you! You No good bumb!

  • You evil and wicked scum Stan Polley! May you rot in hell for the criminal acts you've commited in the past ( especially to Pete Ham and Badfinger.) Believe me ... you, your family, and any conspiraitors that reeped the unlawful and wrongfull profits from this band (especially Pete Ham) will eventually suffer in one way or another!

It was heavily rumored that Polley got his son and daughter through college with a portion of Badfinger's royalties (the money the band long waited to receive!)

  • Why are they so awesome?

    They definitely deserved more.

    RIP guys <3

  • ,nez, good question, what is this facination with badfinger,,,,,,,first of all,one of the best bands on the planet,no question, secondly , you cant help but feel the great injustice and the real heartache that took two great singer songwriters from us and destroyed what would surely have been the biggest band anywhere on the planet,

  • This was such a magical group! Every time I listen to their music I'm in amazement because they were soooooo good! The association with The Beatles probably hurt Badfinger in many ways because they never got the due they truly deserved. A sad story, but their music lives on! Thanks for posting!

  • Why did they have to die?

Please Rest in Peace and know that you are all loved and missed so much!!!

I love this song! thanks for posting!!

  • Becuase they hired a dirty rotten cock sucker, f#cking "Bastard" like Stan Polly how riuned the trusting heart in Pete Ham.

  • You took the words outta my mouth, rock on forever Badfinger RIP Pete, Tom and Mike

  • Badfinger had the soul and the blues that Dylan's The Band incessantly lacked..The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame without Badfinger in it is a travesty beyond the rightful ability to communicate sound in words.. So to those judges of sound I would have to give them the badfinger, until sense is restored. Top 5 bands of all time...The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Band, Badfinger....

  • just another badfinger classic..sorely not heard by many others. My sons know it now!

  • a great duel guitar solo, man! always loved this tune.

  • Awesome !!!

  • Badfinger Rules! I need this on DVD! They were so great with those harmonies and all of them nice guys! It's really sad what happen to them.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMMY EVANS! Love and miss you!

  • The second single off of "No Dice" that never was... what was Apple thinking?

  • Have not seen this footage before, thank you SO MUCH for making my day! Badfinger were awesome and deserved so much more. This is one of my favourite songs. Again, thanks for posting this.

  • Badfinger with Pete Ham is the best lineup of all. Without his musicianship and/or vocals in the mix (whether lead or backup), it's just not right. These guys had the best sound together.

  • Nothing but kick ass music!

  • Incalcuable.

  • Thankyou for posting

  • Chevy 505

Thank you for sharing this treasure. Badfinger was a big part of my music and my life. I myself was a traveling musician playing rock in the 70's but this is what I listened to on my own time..

  • I truly loves these guys and so sad that Tommy and Pete's life ended so young. They were such talented young men. I just can't say enough about them. A huge lost to the music world!

  • The great songs from Badfinger never seem to end!!! This is yet another treasure.

  • 1m 51 and,im still rocking to this 70s band, beats the crap out of the so called modern stuff that portrays itself as music, badfinger have reformed as a trio, but on a higher plain,

  • strawberrypicker, pete ham should never have had to worry about paying his mortgage , he was so talented,

  • i love the beatles BUT I,M TELLING YOU ALL THESE GUYS WOULD HAVE BECAME THE CLOSEST THING TO THE FAB FOUR rip pete tommy john & george AWESOME MUSIC FROM BADFINGER

  • SLUMBERS2: You know, I've got to be honest--I think Badfinger was compared to the Beatles far too often. Of course, I wasn't alive back in the 70's and 60's, but I'm saying that from what I've heard. Anyway, I've always like Badfinger more than the Beatles...some would hate me for saying that, but it's true--I like Badfinger a lot more!

  • i'm with you all the way on that

  • @SLUMBERS2 You're right. At the time, we knew they had it, that same raw talent, creativity the Beatles had when they first came on the scene. It was exciting and would be again if lightening struck a third time. The world is always harder on very creative people. But watching this unfold in real time was excruciating. It plain old hurt. SUCH a great group. Underestimated and underrated in SO many ways. Some HELP would have been great...a Brian Epstein of their own?

  • @SLUMBERS2

Probably because Badfinger was one of the first bands to sign with Apple records (The Beatles label).

  • there manager screwed everything up.

they coulda been the next beatles.

The worst thing about it, they didnt need fancy cars and didnt expect to be milllionares, but they just wanted to be band and show there music to the public. and managment wouldnt even let them just be a band you know.

  • Luv Badfinger - cheers S2

  • Alright kiddies..Beatles and badfinger are in my top 3..BUT IT"S THE KINKS WHO RULE!!!

Seriously..But be warned...Your life will never be the same once your in.

Find a copy of Kinks Kronicles for a teaser then start at the beginning.

    Great video. Thanks for posting.

  • Such a pretty song..never heard, but glad I have now! Great post chevy505!

    Awesome share..J as always!!

  • Has anyone noticed this sounds a lot like Oh Darling by the Beatles? Not that it matters.

  • No, you're not crazy. The resemblance is there. This is perhaps the most obvious example of similarity with the Beatles for one of Badfinger's "minor" compositions. I think the Beatle similarities and influences are even more obvious in Badfinger's main hits. Come and Get It was written by McCartney. Day After Day featured George Harrison on slide guitar in the original. I can hear Beatles influence in the guitar work on Baby Blue and No Matter What. Perhaps others could elaborate more on this!

  • While the Beatles are the best group of all time, they and Badfinger were a lot alike. Each had very well crafted songs with a melody. Both groups also had incredible harmonies. More than one member could sing lead. Both groups also had two capable guitarists. Unfortunately Badfinger didn't get anywhere as near successful as the Beatles due to being screwed over big time by a crooked manager. Their full potential was never realized after two of the members hanged themselves. It's a real shame.

  • Yeh, Come and Get It was written by Paul and they were influenced by the Beatles but I will forever count Pete Ham as an original song writer that wrote many unique, profoundly moving and rockin songs. If anyone gets an opportunity to listen to all their songs as originally recorded or performed live like this one you will see a great deal of diversity. Badfinger was a Rock Band that played all types of the genre from Without You to Constitution, from Carry on Till Tomorrow to Suitcase.

  • Hello everyone. I'm 52 years old. Badfinger was one of my favorite bands when I was an early teen. I tried to strawberrypicker123's post. I don't know if it posted. I think it is so cool that very young people acknowledge and love the music that I still love when I was a teen. As a favor. to their compliments to my generation and culture... I also love hip-hop and rap. Strawberrypicker123 thank you for your comment on Badfinger. I'd like to know your parents.

    Max

  • Great band!

  • wow there voices blend so well.

tom evans has a voice of an angel. he can hit those high notes and so great.

im 14 and there one of my favorite bands along with teh who and the beatles. it just sucks that im like the only teenager at school who knows them. they should be more apprieceted

  • Good to know that some young people are listening to Badfinger. Your generation will keep their memory alive. They won't be forgotten if you play the music for your friends!

  • yeah man. thats exactly what im doing. getting my friends into badfinger and other 60and 70s bands that arent that well known now like CCR or cream.

im trying to form a band that will play and write 60s and 70s style so we can save all the other kids from what they call music

  • I totally agree with you- I'm 17, and i'm the only kid in my school who has ever really heard of them. They are one of my favorite bands too- along with the Beatles.

  • yeah finally someone who understnds haha.

i like the beatles, the who, badfinger and pinkfloyd in that order

  • strawberrypicker123. in 1969 I picked straw berries for a summer job. I was 13 years old. The Beatles was my favorite band. Badfinger was my second favorite almost equal. I think it is so cool that kids love the same music that is my greatest passion. I also share passion with todays music including hip-hop and rap, but rock and roll runs through my vaines. Strawberrypicker123 I'm 52 years old, and I love this song as with all their music.

  • thanks man.

i got into badfinger cus i bought the beatles antholgy 3(which everyone should get if ur a beatle fan along with the anthology 1 and 2) and it had the song come and get it sung by paul and my dad said a band badfinger played it and mccartney wrote it for them. so i bought there CD and fell in love with it and bought more.

  • strawberrypicker123,great story of how you got into badfinger,it was no accident, badbeatfree,

  • tres tres bon

  • Thank you, Chevy505, for all of your Badfinger videos. This is such a great song!!! I agree with the others - It's cool looking when they move in sync. Love the lyrics.

  • this is an awesome video. Tom Evans has a beautiful voice. I acually saw Badfinger perform in 1970 and had the pleasure of meeting the band. Glad their music still lives on.

  • Would have love to have seen these guys and met them. Wish they were still around. I agree, Tom Evans has a fantastic voice. They do live on.

  • Thank you, Chevy505, for all of your Badfinger videos. This is such a great song!!! I agree with the others - It's cool looking when they move in sync. Love the lyrics.

  • ohmigosh u met them!!!! im sooo jealous!! what did they seem like?

  • I love this video so much.

    They harmonized like nobody's business!

I randomly like 1:10 when Pete, Tom, and Joey move their heads at the same time away from the mic. I think it looks pretty neat ( i know, i'm weird).

They end is pretty funny. "An accident." Thanks!

  • Never noticed that. Thanks for posting it. I think it looks good too.

  • It is cool looking when they move in sync. I think it's a common thing for singers to back away from the mike when it's time to inhale, so the gasp isn't audible to the audience.

  • thank you so much , that is a great song

  • Thanks chevy505, this rare footage of Badfinger is fantastic. Believe Me is a heartbreakingly beautiful song. It's great to see them in their prime, at their best, before all the tragedies.

  • dude,,if I could sing one song everyday,,,this is the bloody one!!!.....awesome my friend for posting this wicked tune ,man!!

  • Thank you, Chevy505, for all of your Badfinger vids. I can't say more about the group than has already been said before, except I wish things had gone differently and they were still all together here, playing on and on.

  • ...and they sing beautifully! Pete, Tom and Mike must certainly be reunited way up in heaven, the real one and only BADFINGER!

  • fantastic and rare footage

  • Pete and Tom harmonized like no one else. Very different voices, but they blended perfectly.

  • @solitudeseeker Dude, Just like Lennon, McCartney, and Harrison did

  • @solitudeseeker like Lennon and McCartney

  • Thanks for posting this wonderful video of my favorite Badfinger song! 5 stars!

  • Many thanks for any rare fotages of Badfinger!

  • I agree and a voice of an angel too!

  • tom evans was beautiful

  • He certainly was beautiful and gifted

  • badfinger were so under rated. one of my top bands ever !!

  • Awesome vocals by Tom! I love this performance!

  • Thanks for this; I love it.

But I also find it (unusually for Badfinger) derivative - the guitar intro. is straight out of 'Let It Be' and the first few lines of each verse are melodically a copy of 'Oh! Darling' - understandable, I guess, given that McCartney was their mentor.

  • I figured it out too, and the higher voice sounds pretty much like I've got a feeling and stuff like that

  • Thank you Chevy for post this rare jewel ! It´s one of my fave songs from No Dice album ( 1971 ) !

    Muniz ( bass )

  • Chevy505 you made my christmas much better, thank you very much.

    badfinger 4ever!

  • Chevy505, you are a YouTube diamond! Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. Badfinger were a truly magical band and this performance is a joy to behold.

  • Tommy had one of the great voices in rock music. Beautiful performance, here on Tom's part.

  • Pete's voice was great too!

  • Wow! Just to see Pete and Tommy harmonizing together. What a match made in heaven. Together they sounded so good on those hits like "Baby Blue" and "Come And Get." This is just unbelieevable. Thank you. I'm loving YouTube!!!

  • Tommy had such a great range and put so much feeling into his vocals. I miss these guys so much it is such a shame about Tommy & Pete.
