Maybe I am just having an emo morning, but I wept watching this. I have an all breed rescue. We have 20+ pit/pit mixes right now. All them living in runs. We let them out everyday for play time, and we love on them as much as possible. But I would give anything for each of them to have a home like Silver got. Odds are against them unfortunately. Some will, but some will live their lives here with us, and I will always feel guilty for not being able to give them enough...

Oh my, what a wonderful 'ending'. I rescued a Pit from near death, literally. She was a wonderful and loving girl, even loved my Chihuahua - a little jealous of each other with me. I loved the mouth at 1:33 and 2:36 and the sleeping pictures at 1:53 and 2:31. If I ever get another dog, it will be another rescue. Thank you for the work you do. A Pit's mouth looks like you could just jump in, head first, when they look up at you with that big smile!!!!!

What a beautiful video. You are a true hero for adopting this sweetie. I myself adopted an 11 year old rottweiler from a shelter. She was 3 days away from being put down. Her family of 11 years no longer wanted her. I don't understand people, especially those who could hurt these dogs or want them to be mean. Thanks to my friend lovetoallanimals for sharing with me.

Ah, thankyou bruttomucco. I don't feel brave. Nessy is a wonderful girl who has brought many blessings to us. She may be 11 but she's still a puppy at heart. Even if we only have her for a short time, at least she didn't die in a shelter. She'll be with loving family.
