... het spijt me, maar die kinderachtige reactie is zo typisch vrouwelijk en 'Hollands'. Meestal zitten er zo'n aantal bakvissen in elke hedendaagse voorstelling te grienen omdat ze iets zien dat ze niet kunnen plaatsen, zo onzeker worden dat ze dan maar onder elkaar giechelen. Ok het is niet vanzelfsprekend het Triadische ballet... maar experiment is de sleutel tot vooruitgang en het ontvluchten van de miezerige doorzonwoning met plastiekrozen !-)

Regarding the taste of the laughing people who shot and posted this: The Nazis didn't understand this either. That's why Schlemmer was dismissed from the Bauhaus School and also why the school was the first thing the Reich shut down when they seized power in Berlin.

There's a distinction between "laughing at" and "laughing with." Schlemmer was barred from teaching because the Nazis called his art degenerate. He spent his final years working at a paint factory and had to make art in secret—tiny paintings that would not be noticed. He lived in fear—real fear. People were being taken from their homes, stripped of everything they had, imprisoned, shot, gassed and thrown into mass graves like garbage. The deriding of Schlemmer's art plays into this history.

Only eight minutes of music remains from the original production, and none of the choreography does. The only record we really have of it are the costumes.

Though I don't think the original music and choreography would make Triadic any less starling.

there's an idea behind this you know... It was a reaction against expressionistic dancing (which was very popular then.) Oskar Schlemmer made analytic dancing: the opposite of axpressionistic dancing. No expressions of the body, only movement in time.

haha. :p I'm an art student and I get theater too (theory) and I was just learning this part and I thought: 'let's search it on youtube so I can see it again.' I saw all those people with their 'creepy' comments, and I thought, let's make it less creepy for them :p They wanted to dematerialise the body (that's why they use all kind of suits)

Maar ik zie nu pas dat je Nederlands bent, en ik zit hier alles in het Engels te zeggen :p. (traag: de mensen in de video spreken Nederlands) :p Ik vind het ook niet zo mooi hoor... ik houd nochtans wel van experimentele dansvormen, maar dit is toch niet aan mij besteed :)

Whaha Idd best traag ;) toch makkelijker in het nederlands he haha :p Maar ik ben ook een 'art student' en heb dit dus ook tijdens mn les gehad, maar ik had op t moment dat dit gefilmd werd al zon 3 uur college erop zitten dus was wat melig hehe. Maar ik heb t eigenlijk niemand nog zo duidelijk uit horen leggen als jij (zelfs mn leraar niet haha :P).

het was een van mijn laatste lessen, daarmee dat ik het mij nog goed herinner... Ik vond het ook wel apart (en met beelden erbij onthoud je makkelijker.)Trek u daar niks van aan, je mag vinden wat je wilt over iets. Al die sukkels met hun bad rating dan... vrije meningsuiting mag nog steeds hé!
