  • i bet thats why kubrick let him do AI

  • 8 people don't love static tv.

  • steven spielberg is so uninteresting compared to andy but he wont shut up

  • Classic. Poltergeists and ET were 1982...a few years after this interview.

  • I would be nice if people dropped the stupid bickering and talked solely about the video.

What is the context of this interview? Why are these three in a room together?

  • @dundee12 From OpenCulture: In 1979, Andy Warhol spent $40,000 on a broadcast-quality camera and started dabbling in creating television programs that he aired on Manhattan public access cable channels. One episode featured Warhol, Bianca Jagger and Steven Spielberg simply hanging out on a bed.

  • @moeskido Thanks for putting this video into a historical perspective.

  • @Stiffmaster96 Ahm, no...

  • The promotion of trash art serves to demoralize society which in turn serves the purposes of power because it justifies its expansion & scope of control. Most/all of society's 'heroes' are highly pathological individuals put on a pedestal by their handlers. The masses, unwitting fashion-victims, don't notice since they've been taught to associate pathology, subversion, amorality, egotism and mental degeneracy with 'genius' and will tend to consider anybody who is famous famous for a good reason.

  • @suddenlyitsobvious I love how you just wrote yourself a little rant surrounding some random sociological concept that just makes you look really pretentious. Yes, I don't think anyone really knows for certain the reason Warhol's seen as a demigod, but there's really just no use in criticizing it, because it's definitely not going to change anytime soon. Not that my response to your comment's really significant either, and you could call me something of a hypocrite if you like.

  • @MrFfuckUp

    'pretentious'

People 'in the matrix' always consider it's 'pretentious' to criticize or claim to know something when not an accredited, official, authoritative expert. Everything in your comment misses target, which is already apparent in your opening statement, that sees you focus not on what I say, but on how what I say makes me look: typical.

    'some random sociological concept'

Strange, when my observations pertained to the straightforward issue of why Warhol got so famous.

'Yes, I don't think anyone really knows for certain the reason Warhol's seen as a demigod'

Completely bizarre statement. Just because YOU don't understand society and what goes on in it doesn't mean nobody else does.

'but there's really just no use in criticizing it, because it's definitely not going to change anytime soon'

Another bizarre, revealing and dullwitted statement: we shouldn't criticize bad situations when these situations are not about to change.

  • @suddenlyitsobvious Also, I love how you're starting to get worked up by my little comment by responding to me more and more and more

  • @MrFfuckUp Actually wait, by doing this I'm even more of a hypocrite/airhead. It's fun to get into to random arguments on YouTube that really have no purpose; it finally gives me something to do! Anyway, you can go ahead and argue to your heart's content and what not. You'd just seem like the perfect person to argue with here, I mean I know the argument you've put up so far, but if you really wanted to upset me, you could've just not responded at all! Sorry for the long comment, I talk too much!

  • @MrFfuckUp 'I mean I know the argument you've put up so far'

I'm not all that sure you've understand much of what I said, my language undoubtedly being confusingly straightforward to you...

'but if you really wanted to upset me, you could've just not responded at all!'

Hmmm, now why would I want to do that? Maybe your imagination is simply running wild...

  • @suddenlyitsobvious "Undoubtedly" - how do you know for sure I know what you're talking about or not? I could just be saying random shit that makes no sense (which you'll probably agree with). And who knows? I might just be really paranoid!

  • @MrFfuckUp

    Who knows? Who knows?

Did it ever occur to you that there may be people out there who know more than you do and who actually can -unlike you- pick up clues from someone's reactions and mode and content of expression and make accurate inferences that can be verified in the unfolding exchange?

Communication to many people is more than just uttering phonemes, you know?

  • @suddenlyitsobvious Well it's even clear to me that I'm a fucking idiot, it's reason my account name is "MrFfuckup". And yes, believe or not, I have normal functioning social and communication skills. But at this particular time, I don't give a damn in what I'm typing. Do you realize that, or are you just gonna keep on like I do care what I'm typing?

  • Also, I might or might not understand society...obviously you must!!

  • @MrFfuckUp Damn...I'm really that stupid to point where I by accident respond to my own comment?

  • @MrFfuckUp (I completely take back this, as even though I'm getting "worked up" I'm still responding more and more)

  • @MrFfuckUp

Hello? Have you run out of Zoloft or something?

  • @suddenlyitsobvious Ha...nope, been off them there anti-depressants for months!

  • @suddenlyitsobvious Damn, everyone on this video's gonna get pissed off by our bickering!!

  • @suddenlyitsobvious Also (being a hypocrite again for responding to you so many times), I had interpreted your original statement as one asking why Warhol actually was famous, but apparently it's not as you imply.

  • @MrFfuckUp

    (3)

I suppose for the same reason you don't criticize the War in Irak, the Gaza situation, corruption of government officials, the 'war on terror' etc etc etc?.

'Not that my response to your comment's really significant either'

    It's significantly disconnected.

' and you could call me something of a hypocrite if you like'.

To be honest, I'd sooner call you an airhead, who uses words to say nothing.

  • @suddenlyitsobvious You can call me whatever you like, friend. And yo can say anything you want, just realize everything which you're criticizing is already happened, it's not like any of us really have strong voices anyway, man.

  • R.I.P. Andy Warhol :'(

  • i was never impressed by andy warhol. hope he died in terrible pain

  • @ciucinciu Nah...He died after he fell asleep and the nurse at the hospital noticed he wasn't breathing, so he died while unconscious.

  • AND playhill was sush a hungry ukrainian jew!!

  • ANDY'S SO GAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

  • they're all on acid and every single comment being uttered is an allegorical dig/ jab back and forth between Warhol and Spielberg. listen carefully.

  • Wow. Steven most definitely was high in this video. I'm speaking from experience--the kid was high as a kite.

  • and thats where the idea of White Noise movie came

  • HAHAHAHAHA , why did he swallow it!? I'm crying oh my God , I wasn't expecting that!!

  • "That's where the word ghost almost came from!!"

  • I swallowed a transistor ! Hahaha!!!

  • Steven Spielberg swallowed the future.

  • Realise this is being filmed, recorded at their collective behest. Perhaps four or five out of camera are present in that room - it's simply self promotional shit!! - Enjoy it!!

  • For those suspecting Spielberg is high:

It is commonly known that he has Asperger's Syndrome.

  • god knows how uch i hate spielberg hes more of an storry teller than a film maker in my idea but andy is just awesome

  • @ilove60s1 God knows how dumb you are, idiot.

  • @Stiffmaster96 dumb is you plus your dumbest mum's boyfriend spielberg is puppet to US that services them by making all you american idiots look beautifull

  • @ilove60s1 I´m not even american, noob. And I think even my mum´s dumbest boyfriend would be smarter than you.

  • lmao. Steven Spielberg is not on coke, he's just a huge geek. I remember Spielberg saying he couldn't even handle a beer. He's just such a nerd, but most directors are essentially huge geeks with cameras. Andy Warhol was just fascinated by people. Bianca Jagger, I never liked. She seemed so haughty and stuck up and cold. Why the hell was she famous? And if it's because she was with Mick Jagger, well Marianne Faithfull and Jerry Hall seem much more fun.

  • 0:25 "That's where the word ghost (almost) came from" lol

  • What a geek.

  • @thequeenlives And whos the geek HA HA now My Lady should I give it backwards or wheel barrel the choice is yours LOL

  • @thequeenlives Still waiting for my answer lady sweetness

  • @onetrashdancer youre the geek now

  • COKE you need it around bianca jagger to stay awake.

  • COKE

  • Both great cs

  • Fav part is Spielberg saying, I swallowed the transitor because it was the future! Awesome! He was correct!

  • Wow Spielberg hogs the whole conversation, its littered with personal pronouns and endless uninteresting chatter about his own boring memories. How do you sit in front of someone as interesting as Warhol and talk about idiotic things you did as a brainless kid as if they were historical events?

  • ella es de nicaragua jejejejejej yo tambien :D!!!jejejej!

  • Spielberg was for sue doing a few rails... But thats okay probably gave him some crazy good movie ideas lol

  • dude spielberg is an idiot

he definitely is lying about hearing the music, look at him hesitate at :47

  • Steven Spielberg said to this day i convinced it was- and then he stopped

What was he convinced of? That it was him, maybe Jesus?

  • wait..andy did drugs?

  • hate steven spankberg, so annoying.

  • I like these two being in the same room, but damn it's weird.

  • "I believe there's something in there. I believe there's something in there trying to get out." At first I thought he was talking about Andy.

  • @BlueOceanBelow So did I! lol!

  • @BlueOceanBelow me too

  • @BlueOceanBelow I thought he was talking about Andys mind!

  • spielbergs trippin balls lol

  • andy somehow always manages to look both cool/deadpan and stunned by the world at the same time.

  • He wanted to make shit of the future and succeded.

  • mayeb hes not on coke, i am like that, speak fast and all, and i've never done coke

he has add by teh way

  • 0:47, steven caught lying.

  • Is this where the idea for Poltergeist was born? What he was saying about ghosts in the television sounded awfully familiar.

  • @waywardwatchdog1 poltergeist; co-written by andy warhol

  • cocaine's a hell of a drug

  • hahhaa bianca jagger listening

  • Stevens stoned

  • THANKS A LOT ANNIE </3

  • Stephen on crank

  • Spielberg is wonderful I love to hear these little details about how he thinks.

  • i love steven. warhol is just weird

  • they are all a little special

  • @ cremany - If anyone were to ask me, I'd say Andy was he freak here - not Steven! LOL. At least Steven is making an effort. Andy is his usual cardboard self and Bianca looks like she's high (though I'm sure she actually isn't)!
