@PapaPwn1 The reference of sending the crew to paradise is related to releasing the original characters from being trapped behind the door in the teleporter. The crew refers to Nicolai, Takeo, Richtofen, and Dempsey. And sending them to paradise, or rather performing all the steps to repair the teleporter and allow them to continue their journey, is sending them to Shangri-La. The golden rod that you give them in Call of the Dead is carried by Richtofen in Shangri-La.

I just found out, once you aquire the stone, you keep your perks forever, even if you die, so that's why they probably didn't make it for solo, but I don't see why 2 players won't work.

Another thing which I noticed is that if you are Rictofhan, you have the golden rod out of Call Of The Dead, that may play a part in this easter egg, but I dont know were, maybe something to do at the end, or with that rock, maybe you have to shoot that rock with the Ray Gun or teh new wonder weapon, I dunno just a theory

and there must be something with hitting the gongs and there must be something with walking trough the swampy part that the walls come outta nothing

@alfacobra1 The radio most likely is not related to the easter egg. The radios provide information on the Zombies story. The gongs are featured in step 2 of the easter egg process.

@SemibulletproofCoD well i think the characters are teleported to that jungle in the story right after the call of the dead because of the rod and because of the ensamble cast achievement it can be that it has a tiny thing to do with it maybe something you must do that they tell it or so i dont think it like must be done or so

This can be gathered from the fact that in Call of the Dead, the description for the achievement earned for releasing the characters is "Send the Crew to Paradise". Shangri-La is known as Paradise; hence, sending the crew to paradise.
