cotto did not go "toe to toe" he moved on him..outboxed him..but the few punches that slow ass margo did land took a massive toll on him..and he basically got crippled and then stopped..the way that fight looked was weird...people where roundering about it at the time..and then margo tries to use plaster on shane...seems to make sense that he may very well have used it on cotto..and that would explain the fights odd dynamics.

I Think cintron vs cotto will be a good fight. I mean have to see how both of these fighters perform after taking such beatings. Cintron is good just doesnt do well against Margarito. But this "bait" put himself on the hook. Cintron chose to try to tackle Margarito a 2nd time. Many of his advisors suggested he take an easier path but that's not who Cintron is. He is a warrior who will never duck a challenge. He called out Margarito even after getting his ass whooped the first time. How can you rip him for that? Will Cotto want the rematch? Maybe...I do think he'll be back but not sure he'll be in a hurry for any rematch possibility after the beating he took.
I hope that fight happens. Here is my prediction for if and when that fight ever happens. Margarito will kill him this time. In all of the interviews he insists he was "not hurt" prior to the punch that ended it. I did see him right after the fight and the next day, and he really wasn't hurt much at all. I also agree that if Cotto tries to have a war with Margarito, he is going to pay for it! This should be a great fight though. I respect both fighters a lot!

cotto did not go "toe to toe" he moved on him..outboxed him..but the few punches that slow ass margo did land took a massive toll on him..and he basically got crippled and then stopped..the way that fight looked was weird...people where roundering about it at the time..and then margo tries to use plaster on shane...seems to make sense that he may very well have used it on cotto..and that would explain the fights odd dynamics.

I hope that fight happens. Here is my prediction for if and when that fight ever happens. Margarito will kill him this time. He now knows that Williams can't hurt him and he won't make the same mistake again for starting so slowly. He will punish Williams and take over his "punisher" from him. Don't forget this. Without Cintron being man enough to call out Margarito, the Cotto fight would never have happened and we'd all still be waiting for Margarito to get his big shot. Cintron had the belt and many of his advisors wanted him to take an easier path but he is a man who had to try to face him again. I think he fought much better in the 2nd fight but still couldn't match up with Margarito. Losing to Margarito is not the end of the world. He's proved to be a true champion.

Good argument. I can't disagree with your comments but only Kerm knows what actually went down in the ring that night. In all of the interviews he insists he was "not hurt" prior to the punch that ended it. I did see him right after the fight and the next day, and he really wasn't hurt much at all. Margarito seems to have his number. What's wrong with that. Cintron is the one who made this fight happen. He wanted the rematch when others were telling him to run and hide from Margarito. He took the fight and lost. And even in a loss you gain experience.

He is the one who got in the ring and took his shot at the only guy to ever beat him. Yes, he lost again...but I'd hardly call him a loser. That is for the people who never do anything but try to critique others...you know...the critics of life. You know any...any of this sound familiar to you??

You are right...nothing more...nothing less. What he has learned twice is that Margarito is one tough as hell fighter. I give Kerm credit for offering the rematch. He could have avoided Margarito if he wanted to. Instead, he offered the rematch and gave it his best. He is a warrior who just doesn't match up well with Margarito. Prediction: He'll be back better than ever and win a bunch of world titles!!

Would love to see this fight. Berto looked "ok" against Rodriguez but think Cintron would clearly show that he's not at the top level quite yet. Cintron by and early round KO!

Hey crazy boxing fan im with you man I also believe Cintron has enough power and skill to hurt most welterweights especially Cotto. Cintron still has a future in boxing two losses don't really mean much I give him full credit for fighting Margarito when De La Hoya, Mayweather, Winky and Mosley didn't want to.

He'll be back better than ever. Heard he's just starting to get back into things and targeting a Sept. / Oct. return. I see many more world titles for him down the road. He's young, learning, and improving. He'll be back. Let the naysayers have their day for the time being!

Don't even try to sell me on this "pride" shit. That's what you're tyring to sell...shit! He just went head to head with Margarito and lost...nothing more nothing less. He caught Margarito with his best on a few occassions and it wasn't enough to stop him. He fought on (with pride) and simply lost this time around.

Pennies ...you are a joke. Cintron has been in a number of tough fights where he did exactly what you are talking about...teddy reid and david estrada fights are a few. He has pride. Don't give me your ignorant shit of an evaluation. He had one horrible day in April of 05 and he's become better as a result. If anything, that day has helped him. Although he lost again to Margarito...he did so with "pride". He fought his ass off until a paralyzing liver punch ended it.

I just find it a bit comical for anyone to say he has no heart. He fought a tough fight but lost. He banged, battled and did connect with Margarito frequently but he lost. I don't see this as not having heart. I see it as simply fighting a guy who is a very good fighter and who has a style that is a difficult one for Cintron...nothing more nothing less. Let's not forget that he has only lost twice...both to Margarito. Let's see what happens with Cotto/Margarito before bashing Cintron.

Quit looking in the rear view mirror and look forward so you can see what is happening now. 3 years ago Margarito overwhelmed him a bit...not this last time...he just beat him. You don't think he has pride and heart then that is your problem...not his. He comes to fight each and every time and has plenty of both! I've never fought Margarito...have you? He's a tough match-up for Kerm...Nothing to do with pride and heart!

Of course has to do with PRIDE. the same PRIDE that De La Hoya had when he was fighting Hopkins that even though he knew hopkins was a stronger and better boxer, he stood there and fought like a fucking man. The same PRIDE that Torres had when Holt Knock him down three times He got up and fought again to KO holt in the 11th, the same PRIDE that marquez had when he was fighting Pacquio when he was down three times in the First round and he came back from behind and tie the fight.

I got countless of examples of boxers with PRIDE. Boxers that even tough they were down, losing the fight never went back to the corner CRYING, BITCHING, and above all QUITING!!!!!

Did you watch the most recent Cintron/Margarito fight? Or...are you still living in the 05 fight? Cintron fought a very tough fight against Margarito this time around and even (maybe a fault) was more than willing to get in and bang with Margarito inside. You are an f-in clown if you think your comments indicate that Cintron doesn't have Pride or Heart. He is a warrior who had a horrible day in 05. It was the first time he was cut..against a tough fighter and yes...back then he wasn't ready

Unless he knocks them out first...I'm not saying he definitely will but other than Margarito...every other welters he's hit solidly has dropped. You going to tell me (for certain) that Cintron's right can't stop Cotto? Again..not going to say it would definitely happen...but I "KNOW" if Cintron connected with Cotto and others you mention like he did against Margarito...the fight would be over!

Just the fact the way he fights, he got the same slopy style that Margarito has (not saying its bad but its just slopy) against a guy with SUPREME boxing skills like Cotto, Mayweather, Judah, or Mosley and above that being a QUITER I think he has no chance with those guys. Those guys(Margo and Cintron) all they got is the height, which is important, an advantange in reach, and a good chin, they have limited skills its just the way it is.

It is always an "if" but other than Margarito who is of similar size...he's always connected! He's fought some guys who have been quicker than him but they've all dropped. He caught Margarito but he didn't drop because of his chin. Cotto, Mayweather, Judah, Mosley...it would be lights out!
You can think what you want but believe Cintron would stop those guys. His size and reach combined with his ability to end the fight with one punch would be the difference.

You're the self proclaimed expert so rather than go on arguing..I'll simply say we agree to disagree. Cintron is in with the elite of the division. I guess he just not the style of fighter you prefer to watch or support. That's ok! Let's see what happens with the "sloppy" Margarito against Cotto. Personally, I think Cotto is the better pure boxer but will have his hands full! I "know" you feel otherwise so...no need to respond! We'll find out this summer!

Im not expert if I were an expert I would be working on HBO. You are correct, I dont like that type of boxer (again not saying they are bad...just dont like them) For that fight I have no pick just the fight that yes Margo has a Slopy style and Cotto has no chin.
