  • Can I buy one!

  • easier way router it out with a electric hand tool after the plaster dries

  • How do you control the mold in your plaster?

  • @geobravo18 you pour water. if gets dark, it means its wet. dont drown it. too much water can make food mold faster and drown the ants

  • whats the point of that rectangular hole?

  • @jsare516 you put water in there which the gypsum soaks up and spreads through the whole thing. as for what that is important for, I am not sure but lets just say the ants need it somehow

  • @Salbeibonbon and @jsare516 the water is to humid the nest. the broods(eggs) needs to be humid or less it will dry up and die and also for drinking for the mature ants

  • hey!!...how did you turn your ant farm into brown?...it should be white because of the plaster

  • @geobravo18 some plaster comes into brown. some after it dries up, it turns darker

  • cc tu donne un manger coment ??

  • A parte 1 (How to make an ant farm - part 1 ) fez uma camara pra que? e para conectar a parte 1 com a parte 2 como? para que tipo de formiga serve? como alimentar as formigas ai dentro?

    traduzinho com o google:

Part 1 (How to make an ant farm - part 1) has a chamber for what? and to connect one part with part 2 how? what kind of ant serve? how to feed the ants in there?

  • could i also use clay?

  • @NLmonsterNL yes. if you have a non naturalistic color of clay, mix it with other colors to make brown. purple clay can make the nest looks purple

  • Very cool! What about feeding area? I think you didnt do it...

  • @Gheiter i think he will later on drill a hole and attach it to an outworld check my video how i did mine

  • After removing dough some very small pieces of dough remain. Mold will grow on them. I've got mold and my ants are unhappy now. I used less amount of salt for dough, so may be more salt will help (I wouldn't test however). I recommend to use plasticine instead of dough.

In other respects your method is awesome! Thank you!

  • hi.. nice video! ive been wondering. what is the long tunnel on the finish nest. its long and straight i guess its at the top. you put it in at @3:03. what is that tunnel used for? please reply. thanks

  • @GOLDROCK420

    I agree

  • @GOLDROCK420 ya good question lol

  • @GOLDROCK420 he cut the whole video. the first plaster in the video is like to mold the nest out. this one makes the tunnels

  • @GOLDROCK420 its to keep the nest wet ;)

  • cool so really i just need flour salt and some warm water and i can just put in a jar and got an ant farm

  • how you made the strong part?

  • it is gypsum / plaster! buy a pack in the hardware store and try it yourself! it's fun!

  • @wowrullezz you can increasse plaster and decrease the water. but not too much. too thick decrease the humidity of the nest.

  • g

    gr

    gre

    grea

    great

  • how do i make the plaster???

  • pour it into water and stir. instructions are on the package. it's fun!

  • how do you make the solid part, which components and what proportions

    thank you

  • I used modeling plaster /gypsum, you get it in the hardware store. pour it into lukewarm water, proportions around 1:2 (water:gypsum) but that varies, you have to find out yourself. mix it and and gypsum to the water until the scraper you use stands in the mixture. depending on the stuff you use and the water temperature and mixture you have now some minutes until it sets. have fun and show your creations in a video response!

  • what would happen if you replaced the lukewarm water with urine?

  • you would be screwed up idiot.

  • its a joke dumb ass

  • Sure, then dont do it on his videos. Stupid.

  • It's very obvious that you're some little kid. You end you're insults with overused words and you play runescape.

  • Carcus0fh3ll, first off, LEARN TO SPELL. Secondly, nobody cares if you quit Runescape. Thirdly, if you tell us all to go to hell, why don't you just kill us? Thats the only way there I believe...

  • okay people can technically comment anything they want to on youtube but if you comment something mean and retarded its you that you're making a fool of

  • @impoetk proportion depends on the product. check the instructions on the back

  • nice video

does pottery plaster work the same way?

i couldn't get my hands on any gypsum

how do you make the glass stick to the gypsum (the end product)?

one more thing, what was the sheets you put in after you poured the gypsum?

  • I don't know about pottery plaster, it might just work as well! the glass I attach for example with rubber bands. and the small sheets were plastic fly screen for reinforcement, it helps prevent breaking of the final product a little.

  • was that a clay molding?

  • Hey, how big is the peice of glass in the first part ( part 1)

  • thx for you fast reply.

What about the small nets you put in the clay in the end of the movie? How it works?

  • Oh, nice ant nest!

How to feed the ants? By tubes? And water? Adding it in the big rectangular chamber?

  • Yes, by tubes: connect tubes to the nest leading to a plastic box or another bigger place where they can go out for a stroll. Feed them there. It's better then feeding in the nest. Water is added by filling the rectangular water supply in the nest once every two or three days.

  • did you use clay

  • add subtitles
