I am struggling to get my head around the Agnostic point of view. They believe god may or may not exist as their is no fact, only possibilities. Thats futile surely? Why waste time and effort in it? What happens to agnostics once someone proves beyond doubt that there is or isnt a god? Do you become an Atheist or a Christian?

That's basically it. They don't worry about it. They just live with the possibility. In fact some and maybe even a lot of Scientists are Agnostic because depending on what is proven, The agnostic may become Atheist or they may become Christian.

So true. It's amazing that this creation story is only seen in ONE way by Christians. If one really looks at what happened in the Book of Genesis, one could see that Lucifer has only spoken the TRUTH, gave us all free will, and the right to ascend to God-hood.

Or do you believe these are allegories for something else? The creator being involved with humans wasn't the prime source of the universe, but something else: an "Alien" ("Elion" in Hebrew & "Aleyan" in ancient Syriac from Ras Shamra liturgical poems were the bible borrows from).

god can impose any conditions he wants to. thats why he is called god. as for adam, we are informed from religious textxs that he possessed intelligence. so it would be safe for us to ssume he was a cautious creature. which in turn means he had to assess the claims made by the devil which he didnt. why couldnt adam confront god and present satans claim asking if it were true or not? adam did not act intelligently. he acted out of emotion. god expects us to act intelligently.

In fact, in the Bible the word "lucifer" in Isaiahn 14 KJV is really "Hilial ben Shechar" which is the shining one i.e. crescent moon and star. Shiva is the sleeping destroyer i.e. Saturn the black sun(or usurper sun)--the fake lucifer trying to replace the true which is the equivalent of Satan...

@kingspider1000 The Tao originally is before the yin & yang dualistic concepts, In Taoism there is no creation epic & also there is no dogmatic interpretation forced, historically all forms of Taoism were accepted & honored bcus they understood the idea cannot be cemented & solidified as the other main religions try to do by force or manipulation.
