EP- 130 and the EP-230 are the only machines that run on 110 AC. All the other machines run on 220 AC. I am answering for the manufacture your question regarding how they build it. Not every manufacture willfully publishes how they do it as you would like to see it as you see it on the how they do that on TV. The manufacture that wants to do that would have to be willing to share their technology with the competition and I doubt that will happen.

Just checked the website and the EP-560A max power consumption is about 14.3 kw/hr. Nice unit though!
