Imagine if they found a fossile in those layers... imagine how amazing that would be! I mean.. it's not THAT crazy, we know that mars has water (ice) and was much more wet in the past, so why not?
That would be a big win for abiogenesis and evolution :D
@vava54own Wrong. It would be a big win for creationism. The odds of evolution happening ONCE is astronomical, but let say it did here on Earth. Now for it to happen on Mars too? Impossible. It is a BIG win for creation science if life is found elsewhere (ie: if a supreme being (take your pick who) can make life here he can also make it on Mars)
Keep in mind that Mars doesn't have the atmosphere that Earth does. So you could get very clear pictures from space there compared to Earth. Imagine if they spent the bucks to put some Keyhole style spy sats above Mars and the level of detail you could see with those.
id like to know why i cant see any rover tracks at all on google mars

imagine what would galileo say if we told him we have actually sent something to mars
what amazes me the most more than mars itself is the fact that we can send a robot to another planet and not miss

I fail to see whats alien about Mars, the planet is so familiar to earth...

Wow Mars is so beautiful. A reddish mix of the Sahara and Mojave deserts. I'd love to go there someday.
