What an awesome solution that helps teach reading. I wish I had such technology available when I was in school. I certainly think this will help provide feedback to teachers to help them teach reading.
@94percentfatfree We were limited in the amount of time that we had to explain the idea and since the competition focused on data collection and representation and the video could be no longer than 5 minutes, we didn't include that. I tried to post a link in the comment to the video, but it didn't work. Here've the youtube video code: HBbGZ5zsvr0. just replace that after the v= to watch the student side.
ReadNow is amazing! I love it. Why you will not used it in my time, when I was a student in ELC. I believe that this program will help teachers and students to improve their skill to be better readers. Congrats. Regards, Ricardo Ret (ex-ELC Student)
I like this technology. However, I do have a question - on how does the technology work in monitoring how fast student are reading, "wpm"? This is a great tool in understanding real time of how students are doing.
@benmcmurry Seriously? George Bailey-- he worked at the ELC for a couple years while doing his MA in TESOL. He was the choir director for a while too.
Very interesting Mr McMurry, Congrats!

How exactly can it measure how fast the student is reading?
