1- the space between two boxes occur when you fill them both with colour at the same time. both are then coloured in the same dimensional space causing conflict between the two squares. the trick is to only colour everything you draw one at a time, take one square. fill it, take another, fill that one.
2- the curvature tool is aquired by pushing "C" on your keyboard. then click the four corners of the box and drag the mouse left or right to apply desired amount of curve.
I don't think this works with Anime Studio 6 pro. When I place the square over the mouth and teeth it blocks them from the view like on 6:00 of this video. And there's no way (that I can find) to kinda hollow out the square so it's just the lines or whatever. :'(
@rexfurry you need to create two squares, one smaller- within the other. select them both, then push "u" then space. the shapes are filled and the sqaure in the middle remains uncoloured ^_^
@NGstalagmite I got the coloring down, but my problem is my squares aren't hallow. Like when you create your squares there just like outlines of squares there not like colored in.
@rexfurry Oh wait, nvm I just found out my problem. I had Auto fill on, I feel kinda dumb now hehe, anyway the mouth works great ty for the tut. (^_^)-b
My lips wont appear in render. Ive tryed to delete the layer and remake the lips 10 times and nothing. it wont show up when i preview it. What can i do? Btw how do you select more object? I tryed CTRL and click Shift Click but it only selects one object. I need to use selection tool. but if i only want 2 objects and 3-4 object inside the 2 it will select all objects
@Mylenthes it certainly is. but the trouble is, if you use one layer, it is somewhat less organised seeing as you are having to locate so many points among points. its much easier to use a few more layers than too less. ^_^ anyquestions just PM me for more details. :D
@zekedd HA! :D well i have actually seen someone try to do a light pornographic scene using anime studio. you can search it on youtube. its hilarious X3 something to do with Xena i think.
haha! :D i am laughing pretty hard right now lol :D thats not my real voice! i do a cartoon voice to make it more amusing! my normal voice is boring and very droll :) i figured it would just add an edge! clearly its a noticable trait so maybe it will make it easier to remember the content aswell! :D thanks man! hehe!
I know that this way looks better, but I'm too lazy to do so. I have been using the same mouth switch file for my characters ever since I started my YT channel.
@CartoonZack hehe yeah well its generaly to attain a style, and for people who want to rtry alternate methods of lypsinc. if there are more ways than one... then you can find one that suits you best ^ ^ :D
It's fascinating to watch you work. I don't do animation, but I've wanted to learn. Someday I'll have the time :-) Maybe an animated episode of "Robot, Ninja & Gay Guy" or "2 Hot Guys in the Shower" :-)
i have no doubt it is possible. it is simply putting a shape on a layer, then another shape over the top on a seperate layer. that is definately possible. the same idea should apply, just give it a go! =D also i dont have debut 6, but the principle of many of my tutorials does still apply =D .
It looks like a good way to do it. The Exile character in the Demonological movie has a similar technique, only he has switch layers on the outside of his mouth- teeth on both inside and outside. So not exactly the same as yours.
I kept hitting dupe layer -.~

haha. well i did say it was TOTALLY NEW and all this crap but actually, i have seen a similar method on a few other anime studio cartoons...
the real inspiration for it was "some grey bloke"
NGstalagmite 2 years ago
It looks like a good and valid way to do it. I like the two colors inside the mouth, that seemed very plausible.
