    Love, Wellesley.

  • i love smith college muahh

  • Yay Smith! I'm a TA for a human sexuality class, and I had my students watch the It Gets Better videos for the unit on sexual orientation. Now I get to show them this one and brag that I'm a Smith alumna!

  • @amneris21 Thanks for sharing it!

  • @pweir3 If this is "pweir" from the video, I was one of the Phoenix recruiters before you went to your first year at Smith. So proud of you!!

  • I love it!

  • This is beautiful! It brought tears to my eyes. Thank you everyone who shared their stories and you did an incredible job creating this video.

  • lol, I love you SMIF, and I love QC for introducing me to Smith and the word SMIF XD. Can Transwoman go to Smith?

  • @Th3RedX as a Pansexual, I love this, as a Transwoman, I am slightly pissed at Smith. they discriminate against Transwoman (unless ALL of their legal documents state they are female already), and yet they let Transmen stay around just because their legal documents still say female.

  • @Th3RedX It's a really gray area. I have actually had conversations with the administration about this. They do get applications from people who are legally male and tend to send them a little note saying something like, oh hey, thanks for your interest in our women's college (cough cough)...and don't really hear back. The problem is that most transwomen are still pre-op when they'd be applying, so yes, they are legally men still. However, if you're post-op, go for it!

  • @Th3RedX Continuation: Despite being a private institution, the college does receive some public funding (or at least that's how I understand it.) So *technically* because of that, they can't discriminate against people who are legally male. But then there's this big push to stay true to the tradition of being a women's institution. And the issue of some students who definitely wouldn't feel comfortable with a male-bodied person living in their house (even the transmen get some grief somtimes!)

  • Thank you all for sharing your stories.

  • I hope this doesn't get me any hate, but I'm a Vassar alum... and I love this video! Thanks, Smithies. You've done a great thing, and you're giving us Seven Sisters schools a good name.

  • SMITH COLLEGE IS THE BEST! I LOVE MY SMITHIES AND MY GAYS :)

  • this is really cool. thanks :)

  • I'm proud to be a Smithie :-)
