  • Too complicated. I'll keep Windows 7 as my main OS. I'll probably dual boot with OSX Lion though, since it's really cool looking, despite some of its aspects being a bit overly complicated or gesture based.

  • if i were ceo of apple, i'd create an office suite that would destroy office. seriously... the last piece of the mac puzzle.

also, it seems as if the innovation at apple is slowing down a bit for their pc products. why not use magnesium allow instead of aluminum alloy?

  • My 15-inch MacBook Pro has 1680 by 1050, more than that MBA nad it's an 15.inch Apple notebook ^^

  • this is TOO much like ipad... its AWFUL!!!!

  • why didn't he mentioned that just like him, its thinner too!

  • you should open one in Brazil Chile and Argentina! "Mercosur"

  • aahh all these good things.....then the price.....OMFG

  • @wakka247 you should have seen the previous release... if i remembered correctly. its $1799 for the entry model

  • 7:04 More pixels than on the 15" MacBook Pro? Weird, that's not true at all. I have the latest 15" MacBook Pro in front of me now, telling me it has 1440 x 900 resolution. Although, if he means more pixels per inch, he'd be right. He must mean pixels per inch. He's never wrong.

  • @floofytown logic tells me that hes talking about PPI as its a smaller screen. It would have to be PPI.

  • @Pinkishbass91 Indeed, I assumed as much. It's a pretty embarrassing slip-up to make though, since the PPI and straight-up number of pixels are totally different concepts and could confuse people who didn't get it like we do.

  • @floofytown he also says "more PIXELS then the 15" ", Your computer is doing the same resolution but on a larger screen

  • @Pinkishbass91 Well, mine has the same number of pixels as that one does, technically. But they are larger pixels, due to, like you say, a larger screen. He definitely did misspeak. Mine does not have less pixels, it has the same number of larger pixels! That's ok, we understand what he meant to say.

  • @TheWhisperingCactus It does not have less pixles but when i mentioned the lager screen, you can tell its about PPI

  • normally the crowd cheer whenever Steve Job coughs!

    wtf?!

  • @thebreadbinman This is a Special Event (whatever that means), not a huge hyped-up Keynote. I'd assume this is a much smaller, more focused, less excitable crowd than at the Keynotes.

  • compare it w/ the acer timelinex 1830T. The only two areas where the MBA wins is

    1. It has flash memory. (can be easily fixed by buying a $200 SSD that will STILL outperform apple's shitty controller) Note that the price after adding the SSD is still cheaper than the base MBA @ $999

    2. It's thinner (do you really need the "thin-ness"?)

The acer wins in battery life, CPU, RAM(which is actually upgradeable), and price. I'll leave you to form a conclusion.

  • wtf is wrong with the crowd?

  • It's still expensive :(

  • Thanks for the upload!!!
