You have the priviledge of going to church, of having a Bible to read and to be told about Jesus. So if you really end up in hell, you cannot give the excuse that you had rejected God because you had no reason to believe He existed. You did have the word of God. But you did not believe. You allow your heart to be hardened because you saw what you considered to be contradictions in the BIble. Anyone who sincerely desires to hear God speak will hear God speak.
You have the priviledge of going to a mosque, having a Quran to read and be told about Mohammed. So if you really end up in hell, you cannot give the excuse that you rejected Allah because you had no reason to believe He existed. etc
You have the priviledge of going to a mosque, having a Quran to read.....

That's the only way you know how to reply.
If I'm a Muslim and have never heard of Jesus as the way, God won't even ask me what I have done with Jesus' death on the cross when I cross the Jordan river.
If I have heard both of Jesus and Mohammed, then the question will be - what did I do with the information that I have concerning Jesus and Mohammed? Have I done a comparative study and what have I done to ascertain the truth of the information.
I would suggest you do. There is no excuse for you, you're currently sitting in front of the worlds greatest man made library ever (The Internet). There is all the information about all religions only a few clicks away.
Oh, I do that. I have to. I don't rely sole ly on people to tell me the truth. I find it out for myself. And I have found reasons to believe what I believe.
If what you say is true, then the only real vaid chance you have at accepting God and going to Heaven is right when you die, in other words death rependence. If you spend your whole life living a Christian lifestlye and then spend the last year of your life NOT living like that, then all the previous years meant nothing. If would truly be better to live out all your desires and then do deathbed rependence. You're bascially saying guys like this guy and "KingHeathen"'s previous years mean NOTHING
I don't know which part this refers to. But you've made two assumptions. You assume there is predictability in life and you know exactly when you are going to die. Second, the Christian life is boring.
Salvation is NOT determiined by how you live your life. It is based on this only - whether one has allowed Jesus to take your punishment for you. It is based on the grace of God. It is a gift of God because you don't have to do anything to deserve it.
So this is really easy then. I can continue to live my life the way I want to, do whatever makes me happy, and when I know I'm going to die like the people in the airplane in the 9/11 incident knew they were going to die in moments, all I have to do is pray saying, "I accept you Jesus. Please take me to Heaven" I believe in you as my Lord and Savior".
Do people know when they're going to die? A man went drinking with friends and was completely drunk and knocked out. He slept in the back of the car while his friend who was also drunk drove the car with impaired judgment. The car spinned out of control, hit a kerb and crashed into a tree. The man in the back of the car was flung out several meters away and died instantly. Did that man who died had a chance to pray? He didn't even realize he was dead until he found himself in another wprld.
Most people are just like you in that hey want to enjoy life without interference by God. So God let them alone to enjoy themselves until they mess up their lives (you excluded, no offence) and then they turn to God for help. Fortunately, they weren't caught in situations like that young man who died without knowing what hit him.
Even if you managed to live a "goody-too-shoes" lifestyle like a priest or a nun your whole life, and this includes staying celebate your whole life, and then you die and go to Heaven, what next? Does God give you more to enjoy in Heaven as a reward for acting to "good", more than than the other people who lived life recklessly but also managed to get to Heaven? Dying a virgin, even the soul of a priest would eventually want to know what sex is like. Will you keep your genitalia in Heaven?
I do believe God will have different rewards for different Christians. This will take place at the Judgment Seat of Christ or Bema Judgment. This judgment is for Christians only. There is no punishment in this judgment. It is a time to determine rewards according to what we do on earth, how we live our lives etc. So if you live your life better than others, you will get a greater reward.
People don't need to be priest/nun in order to count as living a good lifestyle. They just need to find a spouse and stick with him/her. In heaven you will have a body just like the one you have now, only it will be better- no blemish, no wrinkle etc.. You won't be missing an eye, a leg or any body part. And you definitely will be very good looking.
And that demands the question. Will you be able to enjoy sexual intercourse in Heaven with members of the opposite sex you've always wanted to enjoy it with on Earth?
In Heaven, will you still be physically capable of doing it like you were physically capable of doing it on Earth?
No Christian is able to live their life perfectly well. Like anyone else, Christians fall into sin every now and then. God does not expect the Christian to be perfect. To the one who stumbles and fall, He gives grace to help him get up. Like the apostle Paul, the Christian sometimes do the things he knows is wrong and what is right, he sometimes fail to do it. But God looks at the heart, sees the inner struggle, and not at the outward appearane..
Freewill is given to men to decide whether they want Jesus to take their punishment or not. Man's part is only to make a decision. You don't try hard to avoid hell. The Bible says no one by their own effort will be able to avoid hell or enter heaven. It's a gift and as long as while you live, you never renounce this gift you received, it does not matter how many times you have failed to live the Christian lifestyle, as long as there is sincerity, your salvation is secured.
Furthermore, if fully excerising your freewill is going to mean God is going to force you to burn in Hell after you die try as you might to avoid Hell, then freewill is a useless gift. It's like giving your kid a car for his birthday and then telling him to do whatever he wants to it, but not to EVER drive it. In other words, his birthday present is a useless piece of crap to him. If you can fully excerise your freewill and still go to Heaven if you feel like, only then is freewill a gift.
You are wrong to say that during the Old Testament time, God came down and talked face to face wtih the people. You forgot that no man can see God and still lives. During the OT time, God spoke through His prophets at certain times only. We are more fortunate. We have the written word of God, the Bible, with us and it is available to us everyday. So we have no excuse. The prophets of the OT times could not speak everyday to the people because they couldn't be everywhere everyday.
God is very fair. The Bible clearly says that people who died without having a chance to hear the gospel will be judged differently. (Romans) God will not ask such people if they have received Jesus as their saviour.
It does not matter that there are so many denominations. The basic doctrines are the same and that is, Jesus is the way to be saved. You need just that. All other differences are immaterial to the issue of salvation.
First, it is not the sinful nature that sends people to hell. It is the sins of the person. So if there is a person who has never sinned despite having a sinful nature, that person will not go to hell. Having a sinful nature simply means being predisposed to sin.
Therefore babies and children too young to understand the nature of sin will not go to hell if they die young. This is because Jesus said that the kingdom of God belongs to little children.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Rejecting God is a sin, and if you die in your sin you will go to hell. Once in hell there is no chance to confess your sin and recieve forgiveness. The worst part of hell is the eternal seperation from God.
so go pick on the fuckin koran go ahead fuck with those greasy scummers go ahead post something negative about allah or mohamud ....you wont because you know those fuckers would hunt you down and cut your fucking head off.
they believe in "" god"" go start picking apart their version.
madalyn aint the only one who can dissappear. im petty sure ellen johnson is next and then who ??
Sorry Gran, but I don't watch the videios, I'm just here for the comments. So, I have to ask, what are the discrepencies that you have noticed in the Bible. Please don't "hand wave". Use some specific references, like book and verse, or some other documentable (i.e. I can look it up) reference. I'm am assuming that these "contradictions" are one reason why you reject God.
Actually this is a waste of time. Let me give you some examples why: Matt's genealogy directly contradicts Luke's genealogy. Judas dies 2 different ways. There never was a Darius the Mede... etc 1million x over.
A Christian just accepts the most transparent and ridiculous excuse then stands by it like he was defending his mom! The genealogy in Luke is Mary's because even though it says Joseph - my pastor says it's Mary's.
"Judas fell down WHILE he was hanged even though neither mentions both events this somehow makes sense to me."
"Darius existed even though there is no historical evidince and I heard from someone that people sometimes called Cyrus, Darius and he liked to drink Mede so even though he wasn't a Medean - he was Darius the Mede."
Excuse, excuse, excuse. There seriously is no Biblical contradiction for which there isn't a flimsy excuse that only a Christian would accept.
do you guys see what azsuperman just said? micbaca and templarart don't agree on the same bibla they preach on.you are totally right superman, good job.
I can't state templarart's beliefs, but let me just cut to the chase: your argument that two people who "preach on the same bible" having differing opinions about doctrine = the bible is fake is like me saying that two athiests who have differing opinions on the purpose of life = athiests are confused and God is real.....A pathetic strawman.
so?still christians, catholics, jehovas witness, protestants, and the thounsands of chritians denominations dont agree among themselves, thats still a FACT.
whats my point? u make me laugh.dude, the point has been mentioned already by the guy in the video.plus the bible contradicts itself many times, therefore it is not a reliable book.but it is a good book to found thousands upon thousands of churchs/doctrines/religions.therefore,whenever u tell me 'the bible says this,do that" is useless to me.and lets not forget about the muslins and jews, etc, who comdem you for not believe what they believe to be "true".as for me,i just dont believe in ANY god.
1) You confuse a disbelief with a belief. It's like saying "If two non-communists disagree that would make non-communism errant." Not believing in something is NOT equivalent to believing in something.
2) If I can show that one of the main precepts of orthodox Christianity is thoroughly unBiblical..yes.. that's good evidence. You say the Bible was given by God yet Christians don't follow the Bible. Either Christianity is wrong or the Bible is.
If it was Paul's view that Jesus was also Jehovah then why does he always refer to them as different beings. Please find one place in the epistles where Paul states something equivalent to: Jesus is the God of our ancestors or Jesus is God or Jesus is the Father. You won't find it anywhere in Paul's writings. Jehovah, the Father is ALWAYS Hatheos (God) and Jesus, the Son is ALWAYS Kurios (Lord) - they are never confused.
1) Mark: Jesus is Son of God the way all Davidic kings were sons of Jehovah (See Psalms 2). When he is baptized at the beginning of Mark he BECOMES a Son of God the same way David and Solomon were. No eternal being. No god impregnation.
2) Luke & Matt get the idea completely wrong and develop a Greek-style god-impregnation myth. Jesus is now a virgin born godman like Hercules or Perseus, common in pagan mythology but unknown in Jewish theology. Not an eternal being.
3) John & Paul: Here it gets messy. He is neither virgin born OR just a messiah. He is now the Logos, an eternal being that sits on the right hand of Jehovah, through whom all things were made and who is the mirror of Jehovah. Look online for "The Wisdom of Solomon" written 100 yrs before Jesus and you'll find a similar female character that Jesus later usurps. This originated with Heraclitus and was later refined by Philos of Alexandria. bikinilane(.)com(/)atheism(/)jesusnotgod(.)shtml
I just finished replying to a condescending teenaged atheist who gave his medical opinion to a Christian stating that the Christian's doctor was wrong in his diagnosis.
Since you are an atheist, NOTHING can get thru your thick skull. You act like know-it-all teenagers who will not listen to anyone older and more experienced in their field.
MidnightHustler: I DO know the Bible better than you do. I know the Bible better than most pastors. You should study the Bible too - nothing makes you an atheist quicker than reading and studying the Bible.
Think: All Gospels END with Jesus' death and begin... with Jesus becoming Son of God but how?
Mark: Anointed by John to be Messiah/King.
Matt/Luke: Born of a god-impregnated virgin.
John: Always existed as the Logos, Wisdom, mini-Jehovah. This was Paul's view as well.
Paul: 1 Cor 11:3, "Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God."
How is the head of God, God?
Paul: 1 Cor 8:6 "yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him "
One God (Hatheos), One Lord (Kurios). 2 different beings!
"Genesis 1:1 God (Elohim) - Elohim means Gods. It is a plural word."
Elohim is used for Baal as well which is a single god.
"Genesis 1:26 Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.
God was not talking to Himself. It was Jesus talking to the Father"
Please don't rewrite the Bible. Jesus does not appear anywhere in the OT because Jesus was a cult leader who invented that position much later. The Bible and the apocrypha DO speak of Sons of God (plural) that live in heaven.
Right - the Father and the Logos. This is established over and over through John and Paul.
"John 1:1 "
...SHOULD be translated "And the Word was a god" or "And the Word was divine". The word translated as god here is 'theos' (god) not 'Hatheos' (THE God).
Anyway - my challenge (below) was to find ANYWHERE in ANY epistle where Paul states that Jesus is Jehovah, Father, God of our ancestors or anything similar.
> "SHOULD be translated "And the Word was a god" or "And the Word was divine"
> Now who is rewriting the Bible?
The people who originally mistranslated the passage rewrote it. You can't use "god" (noun) as a formal name - only Christians and Jews have named their god, God as in God the god, Dog the dog, Fish the fish. So if the term is theos instead of Hatheos, (noun instead of Formal name), English grammar dictates that it must be preceded by an article.
The word 'angel' means messenger, not spirit being - so a "Son of God" could also be an angel. If you read the apocrypha you'll find (Jasher?) that Enoch was brought up to heaven to preach to sons of god in heaven after speaking to the sons of man on earth.
The rest of your post seems to state that Jesus was not unique and we could all be sons of God the way Jesus was. Is this your view?
2 Again looks exactly like the Logos. He is the mirror of divinity but... as you can see... he is NOT Jehovah.
RE: Connecting the dots - I SHOULD'VE said that you shouldn't need to "connect the dots" with a doctrine this important. It would be shouted loud and proud from every chapter and book of the NT.
You're connecting the dots using Christian orthodoxy which is an ad hoc attempt to reconcile the 3 Christs. Everything quoted in John 1:1 (changing the mistranslation to "the Word was divine".) exactly mirrors "The Logos" as defined by Philos of Alexandria and "The Wisdom of Solomon". The Logos was NOT Jehovah. bikinilane(.)com(/)atheism(/l)logos(.)shtml
Templar....(1) When you walk into a room people dont call you body of templar in addition to templar in addition to the psyche of templar. They call you by your name, encompassing everything you are. The Father and the Son have different functions. That is why Paul refers to them as different entities. Because they are. The trinity is not hard to understand. Just look at yourself, a creation of God.
Templar....(2) You have a body. A soul. And a spirit (I Thess 5:23). 3 different persons with different functions in one place at the same time. You were made in the image of God, and now because God sent his only Son Jesus to the earth, as a man, to die for your inherited, current and future sins, you have the right to claim your position as a son of God. (Romans 8:14) by accepting Christ as your personal Lord. (Romans 3:23).
People who had never heard of Jesus or were deceived through false religion or false teachings will have God's laws written in their hearts and minds. They will live a hundred years, which will give them time to repent of past sins and accept Jesus' sacrifice (Isa 65:20).
God does not have to come and confront people. We have His written Word. The Bible has been printed into every language and the gospel preached on every medium (Matt 24:14). ...
The story of Lazarus was a direct warning as to what will happen in the afterlife to those who behave in a certain way. Much of what you say can be supported by scripture but heaven can equally be supported by scripture... hell, pretty much ANYTHING can be supported! I once debated a hinduist who claimed reincarnation was in the Bible! There are 3 different types of Jesus in the New Testament for example so choose your Jesus and support him scripturally.
Reincarnation is not biblical but neither is the wacky idea that Jesus was Jehovah. Reincarnation is NEVER mentioned and Jesus never SAID he was Jehovah so proponents of either argument have to use guesswork, inference, parable and scripture comparisons. John refers to a Jesus as an eternal divine being that Hellenized Jews at the time would immediately recognize as the Logos - this however, is not Jehovah.
He's either powerless, or a real fucking asshole who has no concept of actual love or forgiveness and is no better than a child randomly smashing a hammer down on a pile of ants ... or the most logical: he's Imaginary!
What really astounds me is that they say the rich man was to be in hell FOREVER, just for a FINITE life of not helping Lazurus. Even if he knew of God, even if he saw and experienced both heaven and Hell before the day he died, there's still no reason for eternity. Lazurus was happy in heaven, so that'd mean the rich man's actions don't matter anymore, so why would he still have to suffer for when Lazurus was alive? That's n the past and he's says he sorry and learned his lesson.
god walked around, proved his existance to many people in the bible, but when we ask him to apear to us, even if we are clear of all sins he cant apear to us because earth is full of sinners, but infact most are not because they have asked for forgivness, and also there were many sinners when he walked around back in bible times, so god changed his mind and said he cant be around sinners? whats the worse that could happen? hes a perfect being its not likes hes gonna change or something
you raised so many questions that you shouldn't waste your time answering Christians responses. There are to many problems. Even if the explanation is good is there a very small probability that ALL the paradoxes are Wrong
Arghira - I don't respond to everyone... but some are worth responding to, even if just for fun. Tubemission posted video responses to many questions, so I decided to address his answers.
I am a christian universalist. All I can say is that I cannot prove that God exists. Anybody who claims they can prove the existence of God is a liar. All I can do is share my experiences that convince me in my own mind & heart that God is real but I cannot prove God to anybody.
I find that trying to debate creationism with them is somewhat futile (like talking to a brick wall.) On the other hand, I find challenging the morally indefensible doctrine of hell is a debate that I can win.
World population: 6.6 billion
Christian population: 2 billion
If being a Non-Christian is a crime that warrants infinite punishment, then I have 4.6 billion friends I'd like you to meet. Hey! That's like one friend for every year that hte planet earth has existed. Fancy that!
Honestly I cant see how people can watch this video and still believe in a god lol. But turning "/sarcasm" on for a moment. There was a blinking window to the right of his video of a christian based online college "Answer God's call to service" Blinking add right next to him as hes talking about that. Cracked me up.
Fist of all its not the believe in a God that saves anybody, its the believe in thee God Jesus Christ. Babies and little kids God takes into consideration because they do not yet understand. And the rich man from the parable repented but it was too late and wasn't spared, infact he knew this because he begged God to let him go back to warn hes family so they didn't go to where he was.
At what age do kids cross the threshold into being "old enough" to understand? That is the most ridiculous argument ever. The age of 13 is too early or late? What about the mentally handicapped? What about atheists who simply lack the mindset to accept things without evidence?
You need to properly define some criteria for getting sent to hell before you make the assertion that people are sent there. Asserting that "God will spare little kids" is an emotional appeal with no Biblical basis.
a kid at 13 knows right and wrong so they can choose. Mentally handicap people are not judged because they cant think for themselves. Athiests are different, God has let himself wide open to be known by the creation he has made, the bible says some people are just willingly ignorant. Plus theres plenty of evidence that God exists, theres plenty videos here on youtube that you can watch.
Nuno- mjhacker is correct that there is no bibical evidence that shows that God spares the mentally handicap or even the youngest of children. I would even say the the scriptures bare out the destruction of them. Look at Ezek.9:6..."Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary." If you study this, it is a blueprint for the end time, where God's elect are sealed and everyone else are destroyed.
What is the evidence that god exist? I have watched lots of videos, read even more books and have spoken with many many people and not one of them has shown me evidence that god exists.
There is no evidence for the existence of any religion's god, outside of the religion's holy text. Theists are forced to commit logical fallacy after logical fallacy to defend their crumbling bronze age myths, all because they are deeply afraid of developing any sort of cognitive dissonance that would force them to re-examine their belief system.
The willingly ignorant are the theists who have never questioned their beliefs, and go to Church on Sundays and believe everything they're told.
If Tubemission said all those things - he's an idiot! I hate how Christians believe that people would behave in wildly unproductive and suicidally stupid ways just to be bad. "They turned their back on God." Is the dumbest phrase uttered by man - NO ONE would ever "turn their back" on a REAL god! That's like saying "People would choose not to do what a psychotic with a machinegun would tell them to do." People do not believe in this god because there's simply NO REASON TO!
As an atheist that knows carbon dating is unacceptable evidence of anything, I to have long pondered the question of what I would say to a deity if I were to die and be judged. I think I would talk to God and tell him that his flawed design on humans allowed there to be to much regret in believing anything anyone tells you for what it is and that he should have tried harder to make information readily available instead of a faith game. Also I'd ask him what the point of this giant game is.
Well if you WERE going to be sent to Hell, which one are you going to be sent to? Which one am I? Is it the same Hell being mentioned in one version of Christianity as the other?
well Adam was white :D and Eve also since it was his DNA, thus God is white! makes you wonder how the hell black, asians and other skin color where made. i know from american history that indians and mayans and aztecs where the devil himself.
that implies evolution... fossils are proof enough for me that evolution takes place, which means that the earth is billions of years old which means that Christianity sucks ass.
no its not my first language and i consider myself to be bright enough if you ask me...
fossils to exist, other than the bible there is absolutely no proof god exists or the events in the bible happened. its no different than any other pantheons that ever existed. the indian people(from India) still believe in many gods, if there weren't so many of them, perhaps the muslims would have taken over. A 1-god religion seems to brainwash people better...
so listen... if adam and eve named da animals, then how come animals that are being discovered today arent named by adam and eve. same goes for the animals in the east. this is bcuz the bible is a fairy tale made by ancient hippies
same for America and Australia and Japan with everything on it. I am pretty sure indians from America never thought white skinned people existed or black skinned.
I urge people who are atheist to try and be agnostic. There may be a Creator as an entity or at least a series of events leading to the creation of all there is. then evolution took place and is still taking place.
the other guy said that it was because of MORE sinning in the present than in the past, so im asking: so wut, is sin suppose to keep god away from earth?
A great many atheists happen to be both agnostic and atheist. Don't get the two terms confused. Theism refers to belief in a god or gods (atheism is lacking the belief) and gnosticism refers to knowledge (agnosticism is to lack knowledge).
An agnostic atheist is someone who lacks belief in a god or gods and does not assert to know that none exist. There are few fervent gnostic atheists because to assert a negative is somewhat difficult to defend. I, for example, am an agnostic atheist.
people ARE lazy and so am I. To put it in many words, I fundamentally doubt of a higher being that we can know or it can know us. It's like count to infinity(for us). I guess I have to wait the rest of my life for the answer. Probably, my conscience will be wiped out, my body dispersed and recycled, my presence in the world slowly forgotten like so many people before us all...
Not believing is not the same thing as rejecting. I could understand getting sent to hell for saying "Hey God, what's up? Oh yea, fuck you, whateva! I do wud I want!" Moreso we go "But there is no God to worship, I am unconvinced. God should be capable of convincing people he exists, and not going on whether or not someone gets an answer right.
> So, God runs an assembly line for torturing humans by the millions after they die? ...
Right on, Elvisdogg. Indeed it's not "by the millions", it's by the trillions at least, counting generations and generations. If we look at it better the whole creation of God would be pure suffering. The ephimeral spark of life is nothing compared to the neverending hell. Almost all people ever lived should be in hell for some religions and knew it before creating them. The very idea is blasphemous.
"In modern history", as in the part of history where we have developed ways of recording and objectively verifying things, which seems to have the least amount of magic and miracles.
Stop using your fleshful brain God tried the heart not the brain you will locate him if you stopped your brain for a moment and ask him to reveal himself to your heart.

Steveman27 2 years ago
If what you say is true....
-
I don't know which part this refers to.
It is a gift of God because you don't have to do anything to deserve it.
astujest 2 years ago
So this is really easy then. I can continue to live my life the way I want to, do whatever makes me happy, and when I know I'm going to die like the people in the airplane in the 9/11 incident knew they were going to die in moments, all I have to do is pray saying, "I accept you Jesus. Please take me to Heaven" I believe in you as my Lord and Savior".
It's that easy? Well, why didn't you say so!?
Steveman27 2 years ago

Life with God isn't boring.
astujest 2 years ago
Even if you managed to live a "goody-too-shoes" lifestyle like a priest or a nun your whole life, and this includes staying celebate your whole life, and then you die and go to Heaven, what next? Does God give you more to enjoy in Heaven as a reward for acting to "good", more than than the other people who lived life recklessly but also managed to get to Heaven? Dying a virgin, even the soul of a priest would eventually want to know what sex is like. Will you keep your genitalia in Heaven?
Steveman27 2 years ago
I do believe God will have different rewards for different Christians. This will take place at the Judgment Seat of Christ or Bema Judgment. This judgment is for Christians only. There is no punishment in this judgment. It is a time to determine rewards according to what we do on earth, how we live our lives etc. So if you live your life better than others, you will get a greater reward.
astujest 2 years ago
People don't need to be priest/nun in order to count as living a good lifestyle. They just need to find a spouse and stick with him/her. In heaven you will have a body just like the one you have now, only it will be better- no blemish, no wrinkle etc.. You won't be missing an eye, a leg or any body part. And you definitely will be very good looking.
astujest 2 years ago
And that demands the question. Will you be able to enjoy sexual intercourse in Heaven with members of the opposite sex you've always wanted to enjoy it with on Earth?
In Heaven, will you still be physically capable of doing it like you were physically capable of doing it on Earth?
Steveman27 2 years ago
No Christian is able to live their life perfectly well. Like anyone else, Christians fall into sin every now and then. God does not expect the Christian to be perfect. To the one who stumbles and fall, He gives grace to help him get up. Like the apostle Paul, the Christian sometimes do the things he knows is wrong and what is right, he sometimes fail to do it. But God looks at the heart, sees the inner struggle, and not at the outward appearane..
astujest 2 years ago
Freewill is given to men to decide whether they want Jesus to take their punishment or not. Man's part is only to make a decision. You don't try hard to avoid hell. The Bible says no one by their own effort will be able to avoid hell or enter heaven. It's a gift and as long as while you live, you never renounce this gift you received, it does not matter how many times you have failed to live the Christian lifestyle, as long as there is sincerity, your salvation is secured.
astujest 2 years ago
Furthermore, if fully excerising your freewill is going to mean God is going to force you to burn in Hell after you die try as you might to avoid Hell, then freewill is a useless gift. It's like giving your kid a car for his birthday and then telling him to do whatever he wants to it, but not to EVER drive it. In other words, his birthday present is a useless piece of crap to him. If you can fully excerise your freewill and still go to Heaven if you feel like, only then is freewill a gift.
Steveman27 2 years ago
You are wrong to say that during the Old Testament time, God came down and talked face to face wtih the people. You forgot that no man can see God and still lives. During the OT time, God spoke through His prophets at certain times only. We are more fortunate. We have the written word of God, the Bible, with us and it is available to us everyday. So we have no excuse. The prophets of the OT times could not speak everyday to the people because they couldn't be everywhere everyday.
astujest 2 years ago
God is very fair. The Bible clearly says that people who died without having a chance to hear the gospel will be judged differently. (Romans) God will not ask such people if they have received Jesus as their saviour.
astujest 2 years ago
It does not matter that there are so many denominations. The basic doctrines are the same and that is, Jesus is the way to be saved. You need just that. All other differences are immaterial to the issue of salvation.
astujest 2 years ago
Let me help you.

I'm am assuming that these "contradictions" are one reason why you reject God.
micbaca 3 years ago
Oh GEE... where to begin... You got a few hours?

There seriously is no Biblical contradiction for which there isn't a flimsy excuse that only a Christian would accept.

micbaba:

Jehovah, the Father is ALWAYS Hatheos (God) and Jesus, the Son is ALWAYS Kurios (Lord) - they are never confused.
templarart 3 years ago
3 Christs:
1) Mark: Jesus is Son of God the way all Davidic kings were sons of Jehovah (See Psalms 2). When he is baptized at the beginning of Mark he BECOMES a Son of God the same way David and Solomon were. No eternal being. No god impregnation.
2) Luke & Matt get the idea completely wrong and develop a Greek-style god-impregnation myth. Jesus is now a virgin born godman like Hercules or Perseus, common in pagan mythology but unknown in Jewish theology. Not an eternal being.
templarart 3 years ago
3) John & Paul: Here it gets messy. He is neither virgin born OR just a messiah. He is now the Logos, an eternal being that sits on the right hand of Jehovah, through whom all things were made and who is the mirror of Jehovah. Look online for "The Wisdom of Solomon" written 100 yrs before Jesus and you'll find a similar female character that Jesus later usurps. This originated with Heraclitus and was later refined by Philos of Alexandria. bikinilane(.)com(/)atheism(/)jesusnotgod(.)shtml

Wrong! John only baptized Jesus.
"John: Always existed as the Logos, Wisdom, mini-Jehovah. This was Paul's view as well"
Jesus was the God of the Old Testament. He had ALWAYS coexisted with the Father.
It was also Paul's view because Jesus revealed Himself to Paul and taught Him everything regarding the New Covenant and Kingdom.

Reply at bottom:
Paul: 1 Cor 11:3, "Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God."
How is the head of God, God?
Paul: 1 Cor 8:6 "yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him "
One God (Hatheos), One Lord (Kurios). 2 different beings!
templarart 3 years ago
templarart
"How is the head of God, God?"
Because they are two separate beings.
The Trinity is a pagan doctrine.
Genesis 1:1 God (Elohim) - Elohim means Gods. It is a plural word.
Genesis 1:26 Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.
God was not talking to Himself. It was Jesus talking to the Father.
John 1:1 The Word or Spokesman was with God, but was also God.
Two separate beings. Just as a husband and wife are ONE flesh.
They are united.
MidnightHustler75 3 years ago
"Genesis 1:1 God (Elohim) - Elohim means Gods. It is a plural word."
Elohim is used for Baal as well which is a single god.
"Genesis 1:26 Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.
God was not talking to Himself. It was Jesus talking to the Father"
Please don't rewrite the Bible. Jesus does not appear anywhere in the OT because Jesus was a cult leader who invented that position much later. The Bible and the apocrypha DO speak of Sons of God (plural) that live in heaven.
templarart 3 years ago
> "How is the head of God, God?"
"Because they are two separate beings."

CheckMateKing3 3 years ago
> "SHOULD be translated "And the Word was a god" or "And the Word was divine"
> Now who is rewriting the Bible?
The people who originally mistranslated the passage rewrote it. You can't use "god" (noun) as a formal name - only Christians and Jews have named their god, God as in God the god, Dog the dog, Fish the fish. So if the term is theos instead of Hatheos, (noun instead of Formal name), English grammar dictates that it must be preceded by an article.

"The Bible and the apocrypha DO speak of Sons of God (plural) that live in heaven"
The only references to "sons of God" in heaven pertain to angels.
Angels are messengers and servants.
The Hebrew word BÊN has many meanings depending on context.
Angels are created spirit beings.
Adam was called the son of God (Luke 3:38).
In Genesis, Adam's sons were also called "sons of God".
Man CAN be born of the Spirit and become born children of God just as Jesus was (John 1:12-13).
CheckMateKing3 3 years ago
3 "Angels are created spirit beings."
Chapter and verse?
The word 'angel' means messenger, not spirit being - so a "Son of God" could also be an angel. If you read the apocrypha you'll find (Jasher?) that Enoch was brought up to heaven to preach to sons of god in heaven after speaking to the sons of man on earth.
The rest of your post seems to state that Jesus was not unique and we could all be sons of God the way Jesus was. Is this your view?
templarart 3 years ago
2 Again looks exactly like the Logos. He is the mirror of divinity but... as you can see... he is NOT Jehovah.
RE: Connecting the dots - I SHOULD'VE said that you shouldn't need to "connect the dots" with a doctrine this important. It would be shouted loud and proud from every chapter and book of the NT.
templarart 3 years ago
" don't rewrite the Bible, I connect the dots"

Just look at yourself, a creation of God.
micbaca 3 years ago
Templar....(2) You have a body. A soul. And a spirit (I Thess 5:23). 3 different persons with different functions in one place at the same time. You were made in the image of God, and now because God sent his only Son Jesus to the earth, as a man, to die for your inherited, current and future sins, you have the right to claim your position as a son of God. (Romans 8:14) by accepting Christ as your personal Lord. (Romans 3:23).
micbaca 3 years ago
1) The Bible ALWAYS portrays these beings as two seperate and different beings - there is nothing in the Bible resembling the claims of Athanasius.
2) Don't have 3 bodies in 1 body or 3 souls in 1 soul - those analogies always fail because the Trinity is 3 x in 1 x.
3) Jesus was no more a son of god than Koresh, Jim Jones, Appollonus of Tyana or Ruben Ecleo - just yet another cultleader with great PR.
templarart 3 years ago
There are too many false assumptions in your response.
We do not have an immortal soul (Gen 3:19, Ezek 18:4, Matt 10:28).
People are not born with sin. It is not biblical (Ezek 18:20).
God has no desire that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2Peter 3:9).

The Bible has been printed into every language and the gospel preached on every medium (Matt 24:14). ...

HELL does not exist. The grave and a burning city dump were wrongly translated as HELL in some Bible versions.
The story of Lazarus and the rich man WAS A PARABLE. Verse 31 of Luke 16 "even though one rose from the dead." That had not happened yet.
MidnightHustler75 3 years ago
The story of Lazarus was a direct warning as to what will happen in the afterlife to those who behave in a certain way. Much of what you say can be supported by scripture but heaven can equally be supported by scripture... hell, pretty much ANYTHING can be supported! I once debated a hinduist who claimed reincarnation was in the Bible! There are 3 different types of Jesus in the New Testament for example so choose your Jesus and support him scripturally.

MidnightHustler75 3 years ago
Reincarnation is not biblical but neither is the wacky idea that Jesus was Jehovah. Reincarnation is NEVER mentioned and Jesus never SAID he was Jehovah so proponents of either argument have to use guesswork, inference, parable and scripture comparisons. John refers to a Jesus as an eternal divine being that Hellenized Jews at the time would immediately recognize as the Logos - this however, is not Jehovah.

Nunogomes77 3 years ago
At what age do kids cross the threshold into being "old enough" to understand? That is the most ridiculous argument ever. The age of 13 is too early or late? What about the mentally handicapped? What about atheists who simply lack the mindset to accept things without evidence?
You need to properly define some criteria for getting sent to hell before you make the assertion that people are sent there. Asserting that "God will spare little kids" is an emotional appeal with no Biblical basis.
mjhacker 3 years ago 3
a kid at 13 knows right and wrong so they can choose. Mentally handicap people are not judged because they cant think for themselves. Athiests are different, God has let himself wide open to be known by the creation he has made, the bible says some people are just willingly ignorant. Plus theres plenty of evidence that God exists, theres plenty videos here on youtube that you can watch.
Nunogomes77 3 years ago
Nuno- mjhacker is correct that there is no bibical evidence that shows that God spares the mentally handicap or even the youngest of children. I would even say the the scriptures bare out the destruction of them. Look at Ezek.9:6..."Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary." If you study this, it is a blueprint for the end time, where God's elect are sealed and everyone else are destroyed.

Nunogomes77 - I suggest you watch Tough Question for Christians # 14... "Kill Your Kids for Christ"
azsuperman01 3 years ago
There is no evidence for the existence of any religion's god, outside of the religion's holy text. Theists are forced to commit logical fallacy after logical fallacy to defend their crumbling bronze age myths, all because they are deeply afraid of developing any sort of cognitive dissonance that would force them to re-examine their belief system.
The willingly ignorant are the theists who have never questioned their beliefs, and go to Church on Sundays and believe everything they're told.
mjhacker 3 years ago
If Tubemission said all those things - he's an idiot! I hate how Christians believe that people would behave in wildly unproductive and suicidally stupid ways just to be bad. "They turned their back on God." Is the dumbest phrase uttered by man - NO ONE would ever "turn their back" on a REAL god! That's like saying "People would choose not to do what a psychotic with a machinegun would tell them to do." People do not believe in this god because there's simply NO REASON TO!
templarart 3 years ago 3
As an atheist that knows carbon dating is unacceptable evidence of anything, I to have long pondered the question of what I would say to a deity if I were to die and be judged. I think I would talk to God and tell him that his flawed design on humans allowed there to be to much regret in believing anything anyone tells you for what it is and that he should have tried harder to make information readily available instead of a faith game. Also I'd ask him what the point of this giant game is.

God knows this. It is in God's plan. They will all go to hell. Acceptance in God or hell.
But then again, what do I know, I'm just a worthless, scumbag atheist who deserves to burn a million years + eternity in a lake of fire.
nake89 3 years ago
it will be interesting to burn while not having physical body. oh well damn details

Well if you WERE going to be sent to Hell, which one are you going to be sent to? Which one am I? Is it the same Hell being mentioned in one version of Christianity as the other?

wow that was perfect. very good job.

Great response to a response. I've thought of similar questions to myself, but you raise better points than I can.

well Adam was white :D and Eve also since it was his DNA, thus God is white! makes you wonder how the hell black, asians and other skin color where made. i know from american history that indians and mayans and aztecs where the devil himself.
Discipol 3 years ago
The first humans were hairy dark skinned freaky looking bastards.

Through generations melanin levels rising due to specific conditions in the inhabited area.
Or maybe god did it. What do I know, I'm just a sinful atheist. :D

that implies evolution... fossils are proof enough for me that evolution takes place, which means that the earth is billions of years old which means that Christianity sucks ass.
this passive shit does not work...
Discipol 3 years ago
Discipol, either English isn't your first language or you are not very bright.
xXAkridXx 3 years ago
no its not my first language and i consider myself to be bright enough if you ask me...
fossils to exist, other than the bible there is absolutely no proof god exists or the events in the bible happened. its no different than any other pantheons that ever existed. the indian people(from India) still believe in many gods, if there weren't so many of them, perhaps the muslims would have taken over. A 1-god religion seems to brainwash people better...
Discipol 3 years ago
Ok. Yes I agree.

I was being sarcastic overall. Genesis has to be the mot racist, sexist thingout there and it has caused a lot of problems.
If you think Adam was white, then, being in the likeness of God, means God has also white and, perhaps, spoke God language(Hebrew???)
The first human ever was a man, and this has caused a lot of oppression on the female sex. Much worse at the Muslim religion.
Eve to be created from a rib of Adam, to me means that women are just a small piece of man and that sickens me.
Discipol 3 years ago
so listen... if adam and eve named da animals, then how come animals that are being discovered today arent named by adam and eve. same goes for the animals in the east. this is bcuz the bible is a fairy tale made by ancient hippies
ianwhy12345 3 years ago
same for America and Australia and Japan with everything on it. I am pretty sure indians from America never thought white skinned people existed or black skinned.
I urge people who are atheist to try and be agnostic. There may be a Creator as an entity or at least a series of events leading to the creation of all there is. then evolution took place and is still taking place.
Discipol 3 years ago
which means god dont exist, if he did he would have told the whites about the other people
ianwhy12345 3 years ago
talk about discrimination...
another question: why God isn't coming to the planet anymore? is it because all the sinning? That was since the beginning of man...
Discipol 3 years ago
the other guy said that it was because of MORE sinning in the present than in the past, so im asking: so wut, is sin suppose to keep god away from earth?
ianwhy12345 3 years ago
well I dunno :| It seems that none of the deities appear anymore in the modern days...

Good points all around.

Such a god is evil. If real, i would fear such a god, i might obey such a god out of fear, but i would loathe it with all my heart.
Superman, i love your calm, measured delivery. LOL if i had to make this film, i'd be ranting and frothing and practically pulling my eyeballs out.
