how does this song make him gay? I've at times wished I was Angelian Jolie, but I'm not a lesbian. I think he's saying he wants to be James Dean for all the attention he would get by being such a famous and attractive movie star. For example in the line where he says, "If I were Dean I know there'd be somebody there", he's just saying here that he's lonely and wishes he were has famous as James Dean so he'd have someone to comfort him.
