Andrea is a different kind of singer. Italian is a romantic language and therefore the words, and in this case notes, just kind of resound with a naturally smooth sound. He manages to get high notes with no strain. He doesn't have the volume of Pavarotti, but he is equally as talented. His voice is a gift, his talent is and his persona is very human and dignified. A true singer for all ages.

I love this Aria! I like it better than Ave Maria by Franz Shubert. I don't know why, I guess it's just because this version by Bach is just more dramatic, as I think we all know he tends to compose more dramatic music. I love the verison by Franz Shubert too, it's brilliant., but I seem to prefer this one.

I don't know if you have noticed that in his high notes he does not seem to stress. I mean his face stays calm, he does not seem to push himself to sing high notes. Perfect singer.
