I am reading, yes reading, the Poldark series. I have to go to my local library and they have to "order" books from other Pennsylvania libraries on loan for me, but every one is worth the wait. My husband and I are watching the films, yes VHS films, every Saturday evening as our date night, but I am being careful to not over-catch-up on the books so as to not spoil any sordid surprizes! The DVDs of Poldark have recently come out in the USA (marketed by ACORN Media). Robin has a cook book coming out the in the UK and USA in 2011 entitled Delicious Dishes for Diabetics: A Mediterranean Way of Eating. (Publishers: Constable & Robinson in the UK, Skyhorse in the USA)

I am sorry Robin Ellis did not do more work on television and in the movies. He was really misdirected in the Europeans. It would have been a much better movie if they had let him show the passion he did in this one. I sure don't understand why as he is fabulous. Still handsome as an old man too.

Sincere thanks Alice hayes for uploading the 2 Poldark series. I saw the series in the 70s as a young girl. Only really now years later appreciate the acting, costumes and settings for the series. Ross and Demelza remind me of Healthcliff and Cathy in Wuthering Heights always arguing but always in love with each other.

I adore Robin Ellis. I just bought Poldark Part 1 on DVD. Haven't seen it in over 30 years. I've fallen in love with Robin Ellis all over again. The whole production was so wonderful. Great tribute.

UKTV History(Yesterday!) has just run both the 1975/77 series and they were TERRIFIC. Robin Ellis is such a fine actor and holds it all together - why wasn't he in more TV work? Christopher Biggins and Jane Wymark are outstanding in their scenes ; Ralph Bates and Angharad Rees were similarly outstanding. So many of the cast have gone on to be outstanding actors. Thanks UKTV/Yesterday and please show again - soon!!

Absolutely fabulous! I watched in the 70's...just bought both series on VHS (not out in R1 DVD's)...very rare, paid $200 for excellent condition 2nd series. I jus finished the first season and start the second today!. This is a great tribute to Robin in this Great Role and Series! THANKS.

una scuola per molte produzioni televisive.

non guardo da tempo la televisione del mio paese; non me ne meraviglio, visto che questo serial tv non ha avuto sui canali ufficiali molte repliche come avrebbe meritato.

I live near both houses they used for Nampara. I was going to buy the place next door to the house they used for the outside shots. Botallck near St Just in Penwith. The inside shots were filmed at a manor house in Pendeen.
