I'm sorry to hear of your loss too. I almost lost my son. As you may already know this song was written by Micheal McClean using the words in a prayer that was offered by a close friend who's son had just recently passed. This song is the epitome of the scripture "The song of the heart is a prayer unto me and shall be answered with a blessing upon their head".

Tiago, you should do further research. You'll be posting other vids once you do. Racism was a big part of the mormon history that cannot be doubted. Blood atonement was imposed upon any that even married someone less than white. Feelings and faith don't trump facts. Do your research... You can only be free if you're free in the mind :)

I've always loved this song ever since its original release in 1986. According to the comments on the album this was inspired by a prayer given by one of his close friends when his friends child died. He was so moved by his friends plea that he put parts of the prayer into song. The song was inspired by the scripture "The song of the righteous is a prayer unto me and shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads." And believe me countless blessings have been given through this song.
