@sierrasnowboard cheers for that. im thinking of getting the pink 151 custom v rocker what bindings would you recommend im thinking of getting some cartel est do they work well with the board?
is this like the 2011 v-rocker? Because i like the way the 2010 looks and the 2011 looks fine to me but id rather get the 2010 but the question is, is the 2011 very smiler if the the same as the 2010?
@FromThe5thDemention - We have not been focusing on the Video Reviews this season. The Custom FV rides great. The next level of All Mountain Performance Rocker.
tried out this board this winter in NZ, it was awesome!!!! has so much control over high speeds, great for surface tricks but does lack some pop when used on jumps at the park
i'm 6'0, 150lbs, 10.5 boot, should i go with the 156 or 159? i'm only 15 and wont get to use all summer so i'm unsure what size to get. Is this board good for rails and boxes cause i l enjoy rails and boxes.
i like to go straight down mountains specially the groomers...i love the speed...and moguls is this the board for me? i heard they are unstable at high speed or gets gets jerky
I want to buy this board asap before the sale is over. however, all the sizes for most of the EST bindings are sold out. should i wait for the EST bindings or just buy the regular burton custom bindings?? will it work?
What would you recommend for me (6'3", 155 lbs, size 9)? I've demoed this board at 156cm on a powder day and had fun, but I'm wondering if I need a bigger board.
how is this board compared to the X8 when it comes to flexibility? I rode the X8 157 and i thought it was pretty soft but wouldn't mind it being a bit softer.. Is this board a bit softer than the X8 or is it stiffer? Thinking about getting Custom V 156 or the Hero 155. On a scale of 1-10 what's the Custom V softness compared to the 155 Hero?? thanks!! your input would be greatly appreciated. =]
i am 5'11 and 145 with a 12 shoes size. i really want this board but i think that i might not fit on. i like to all mountain and go fast with my friends but im getting more into jibbing and doing the park stuff. would this board be good for me? i want to go burton with what board i buy. but, all my friends are telling me to get a 157 board but im still not so sure b/c im still going to be doing all mountain and stuff but i wanna be able to go jibbing at come comfortably
ok thanks and i was thinking about getting the rome 390's but i thought it would be better to go with some burton EST binding but im not so sure what do you recomend?
So can u use regular bindings with this "channel" on the newer burton boards, like i wanna get a pair of flow bindings but i dont no if it will work or if i need to get the burton EST's ?? thanks
I'm really confused. Which board size should I go fo at 5'8'', 145-150 lbs and 8.5?
I considered plenty of recommendations; one vendor even gave me the advice to take a 157cm and wide board (Bataleon Goliath).
Isn't that too long and too wide for me? It feels sluggishly somehow, good pow float though. I'm a classic all Mtn rider but really want to improve my park skills, butter etc. as well.
What's your recommendation for me with the v-rocker?
Hi, I'm 5'8"/5'9" and I weight about 140, I am pretty much a beginner. i was wondering if the 154 would be fine for me or should I just go with the 151. Thanks
Hey I've heard that the people may be riding the Custom V-Rocker a little longer. Is this true? I am 5'8" and 175 with a 10.5 freestyle boot. I was looking at a 2010 Custom V-rocker 159.
i am an all mountain rider with maybe 30% of my time in the park..

1979nicko 11 months ago
@1979nicko - A board from 148-150cm will work will for you. If you want a board to grow into go towards a 152.

is this board any different then the burton custom v rocker that has a multi colored checkered top?
PaintballFan22 1 year ago
@PaintballFan22 - The Multi Colored V-Rocker was a limited edition, but the same board. It does get confused for the Multi Colored Cambered Custom.
sierrasnowboard 1 year ago
@PaintballFan22 - It is the same, the Custom V with the multi color is the Limited Edition.

It does well.
Not as good as a Camber board when hitting bigger jumps 40+

It is a little loose when pointing flat base but just takes some getting used to.
You should get a camber board if you are a bomber.
sierrasnowboard 1 year ago
Would the 163 be too tall for someone who is 6'1", 195 lbs, and size 11+ boots? I thikn it would match up to around my mouth area, right?

If it worked fine for you in the powder than stick with that length. If not go with the 159. I weight 180lbs and ride the 154.

whats the difference between the joystick and the custom vrocker? can't decide which one.. both seem pretty similar. thx
yoitstyleroh 1 year ago
The Joystick is twin shape but has a softer nose and stiffer tail.
The Custom has a bigger scoop on the nose and a shorter scoop on the tail while having a twin flex.
To me the Custom rides more like a twin unless you are riding powder switch.

For flex rating from 1 to 10:
Hero - 2
X8 - 3
Custom V - 4
They all have Twin Flex patterns.
The Shape of the Custom is a bit more direction, nose scoop bigger than the tail, but it still rides like a switch board on most conditions.

You could go with the 156 but the waist is a bit narrow.
It will be fine as long as you get a boot with a small foot print.

I would say for the 154 Custom V or Sierra Reverse Crew.
That is what I ride (5'9", 175lbs, 8.5us)
The recommendation for you is too wide and I think you would like the shorter board.
sierrasnowboard 1 year ago
@sierrasnowboard
Thanks! I'll try to have a testride with it.
overdressed007 1 year ago
@sierrasnowboard
How comes that you ride the same board size?
You're slightly taller and significantly heavier than me.

I like enjoy riding a shorter board at times.
It all really comes down to personal preference.

5'9 169lb size 11 boots. i was thinking 155 - 158 cm with a 255 - 260 cm width?

If you are using a boot with a small foot print the 154, 156, 159 or 163 would be fine.
Go with the 156, 253mm at waist.

Many advanced riders are still sticking with the camber boards.
The 154 in either board would be good.

Go with the 156.

EricJohnston8 2 years ago
Since you are tall for your weight you can go with a board that is a bit shorter.
This board is great. You would want to go with the shortest size, 151.
sierrasnowboard 2 years ago
thanks!
EricJohnston8 2 years ago
the 163 for just powder? or for all mountain riding going in some pow as well? sorry for all the questions, just want to get exactly the right board!
Matt17892 2 years ago
The 163 is the same as the other sizes just longer.
Just get the 159 and you will be stoked.
sierrasnowboard 2 years ago
Hi I am 188 pounds and about 6'2. Would you recommend the 159 or 163 for me? Thanks
Matt17892 2 years ago
159 for everyday resort riding and 163 if you will be using it to ride powder
sierrasnowboard 2 years ago
Hey I'm also 6.1" and 185..I've just bought custom v-rocker 156..Is it too small for me as a freestyler? What would be the cons? Thanks
safakovic 2 years ago
It is not too small, the cons of this size is it wont float as well in the deep pow as the 159 but I am 175lbs and ride a 154 in pow just fine.
sierrasnowboard 2 years ago
Hey, I am 6.1" and weigh 180, would you recommend the 159 or the 163 for moi, thanx bruv.

It is different due to the V-Rocker, much softer and looser.
Better for jibbing and buttering.
