  • Wow -- running "away from the well." Where I came from, they always ran the big Lufkins "toward the well." These babies looked best painted in basic black, and all scarred up -- expecially the biggest ones. Today they are a sedate sand color in my old hometown -- environmentally friendly, but somehow a lot less majestic-looking if you ask me.

  • @hefley4

I do like the black and not the sand color. It is good to change the direction of the pumping unit every once in a while. The only one you shouldn't change is the Mark II.

  • looks like the olf smith ranchhouse in he background (the trees)..is that off of Wireline Rd?

  • @spellbiff

Yes it is. Just south of 158.

  • @derekdz Wow, my dad had alot of wells in that area. He had several around the ranch house and back north of it, and across wireline rd. He pumped for BTA for 20+ years. Man it is a small world.

  • @spellbiff

That's neat. I got this video just from driving by. I haven't been back in the area since I took it.

  • I love the cool compressor sound that they make every now and then.
