Hah, it's very true. I mean in some movies a man can dress flamboyantly and get away with it, but generally it's not a good idea in real life.... Unless you're gay maybe.
The key is do what works best for you. I've discovered that I look damn good in suits. I know this. Many women have confirmed it and it works for me. But for some guys, Suits make them look cheesy... perhaps b/c their personality and the way they carry themselves doesn't coincide well. All too often I think men tend to forget how much detail women place on physical appearance & trust me, suits get the job done but it has to fit with the situation/occassion and come across as natural & appealing.

Have monk patience and when it burns, still try - 6months.
Got a curve bar and free weigghts (2 that i can ajust between 5 and 15 pounds). I also got 2 X 25 pounds dumbells. I used to train, for 1 year, got some muscle but not much. Decided i would train from home, only biceps, triceps, chest, deltoids for now. Less muscle will make me see results faster, then i will train shoulders and legs.
I actually use 12 kilo weight to train biceps (the rotating lift) and i dont swing. I use 12.5 to train triceps.
The but is i have VERY tiny bones, i have wrists like a slim girl has, and my muscles can only be so big, i dont know if i can actually ever have big arms whitout eating like a pig 8 meals a day, which i cant even afford since i study and work part time...
But i will keep lifting frome home, hopefully i will have big enough arms soon enough !

What is good once you achieve this goal, is that since you basicly have no fat at all, your body is only composed of muscle which is very nice looking when they are well develloped. Continue man, im talking like everyday almost, do 2 or 3 hours (if you can) once your bicep can lift 12-14 Kilos for 10-11-12 times that means you reached a better level. Aim for that.

Now, a stylish but subtle polo shirt works the best. I've been working out a lot too, got really buff, and polo shirts work great for a guy with muscles. I have a girlfriend now I'd never thought I'd get a few years ago. Slender, cute, happy, and energetic.

Leather depends on the context. If you live in an urban area such as New York and your personality / lifestyle / social world match the outfit, go for it. Otherwise, it may look extremely cheesy.

I think you are right. Pink rarely looks good because it's out of place. It is appropriate on the beach (or South Beach for that matter :) and not in many other places.

You are almost right, but only with certain women. If you want a beautiful women that is smart and looking for something serious, you are correct. But 90% of girls in bars are either drunk or numb skulls. What I mean is, instead of going after what they naturally want, they will go after flashy-entertaining guys that will provide them with a good time that evening and a story. In many cases, women are afraid of reality and will therefore settle with guys that will distract them of their problems

not quite accurate, one a man must first take a look at his wardrobe before stepping out to see if most of his clothes are outdated. we women have to put an effort in selecting our outfit from head to toe and it should apply to men also. i do not like when a man shows up in a sweater that was trendy 10 years ago, because i am fixated on his sweater.

I wear a nice watch, its a replica of a prestigious brand of watch, but i wear it to sell them if someone ask me about it.
I dont think its a problem with wemens at all.
I think wemens want to be with guys they are attracted to, and they work just the same way we do, its has a LOT to do with your shape.
If you were born with shity genetics (like me, i eat 2500 calories a day and stay skinny) then there not really much you can do at all to attract wemens.

Build muscles. Outside any mental work and inner revision, building my arms helped me get much more confident.
Go to the nearest sport shop, buy 2 individual little bars for lifting weights. Buy 4 small 1k, 4 small 2k, 4 big fives.
Begin to lift almost everyday during 1-2-3hours if you can. Instead of doing nothing with your pals, train your body in your room. Muscle biceps and TRICEPS mainly, shoulders, and finally forearms.
Have monk patience and when it burns, still try - 6months.

Got a curve bar and free weigghts (2 that i can ajust between 5 and 15 pounds). I also got 2 X 25 pounds dumbells. I used to train, for 1 year, got some muscle but not much. Decided i would train from home, only biceps, triceps, chest, deltoids for now. Less muscle will make me see results faster, then i will train shoulders and legs.
I actually use 12 kilo weight to train biceps (the rotating lift) and i dont swing. I use 12.5 to train triceps.
Im working on it, but there is a but...

The but is i have VERY tiny bones, i have wrists like a slim girl has, and my muscles can only be so big, i dont know if i can actually ever have big arms whitout eating like a pig 8 meals a day, which i cant even afford since i study and work part time...
But i will keep lifting frome home, hopefully i will have big enough arms soon enough !

At least i see you try man, ok first, in your case food won't do nothing. There are three types of birth determined bodies which i don't remember the names : Its basicly slim, chubby, strong.
A strong however can become a slim if he does not eat for 16 days for example, a chubby not. However, slim and chubby can become a stong. You are surely a slim. I WAS a slim too, with quite small wrists and elbows, i TRAINED VERY HARD for 7-8 months or so and obtained great results, train TRICEPS.

What is good once you achieve this goal, is that since you basicly have no fat at all, your body is only composed of muscle which is very nice looking when they are well develloped. Continue man, im talking like everyday almost, do 2 or 3 hours (if you can) once your bicep can lift 12-14 Kilos for 10-11-12 times that means you reached a better level. Aim for that.
Peace man, after this, your confidence will increase a lot trust me.

Now, a stylish but subtle polo shirt works the best. I've been working out a lot too, got really buff, and polo shirts work great for a guy with muscles. I have a girlfriend now I'd never thought I'd get a few years ago. Slender, cute, happy, and energetic.
Basically... guys: Get off the couch. Run a few miles a day. Work out. Drink protein. Get buff. Dress down. SMILE!

Too much cologne and jewelry is a no-no. I agree. But wearing bold colors or a unique item such as a hat or nice blazer can definitely make you more noticeable to women and facilitate conversation. I slightly disagree with the idea that wearing boring clothing that blends in with everyone else is the way to go in a social setting.
Overall, I think your advice is fantastic though.

I agree but the shape and the quality of the leather jacket is really important. having a clean appearance also plays a fundamental role. Keep it simple, as you said: Jeans (preferably levis 501, you can't go wrong with this cut), a well fitted shirt (slim-fit works best as you can wear it outside the jeans). Good to see clever girls giving advice in here! keep it up

a little help: a nice, quality watch; elegant, neutral colors; watch out for the shoes( they should be polished and simple); always a nice coat; if you don't like costume pants a pair of simple jeans combined with a shirt it's perfect( if you want to spice things up, open the upper buttons of the shirt, and/or chose a powerful color like red, but just one color if it's strong)

Arkady39, what are your thoughts on wearing sunglasses? I'm thinking about wearing sunglasses when I go out. Do women find men in sunglasses approachable? Do women (subconsciously) see a man as secluded or oblivious to her signs of attraction, or do sunglasses make a man more attractive to women (making him appear casual/fashionable, etc)? Good question. Elegance and sexiness without trashiness. Good style without overdoing it as the latter intimidates many guys. You want to look classy but not like a fashion model. Being attractive and at the same time approachable is the best way to go.

Good question. Just notice how much more attractive you perceive other people who variate their outfits at least a little bit than the ones that wear exactly the same thing all the time. So... do the same - subtle variation can't hurt.

People, there is not a debate on this. Its simple, take either advice. Its both proven to work. Arkady clearly feels subtly works, if this suits you personality and what you feel comfortable with, do it. If you believe Peacocking is more your thing, do it. Remebering peacocking doesn't always mean flamboyant, just something different to seperate you from the crowd. The best peacocking is subtle.

I think you are right. Pink rarely looks good because it's out of place. It is appropriate on the beach (or South Beach for that matter :) and not in many other places.

this is interesting cuz it kinda goes against "peacocking" that neil strauss and mystery recommend. I personally am fairly cleancut. Peacocking would not fit my image. So I agree, being subtle, focusing on details like grooming and ironing your shirt goes a long way.

I don't like to criticize all the famous dating experts but my observations in the real world cleary suggest that women laugh and / make fun of and mock all the guys who try too hard to stand out through their appearance. That's what they call "cheesy!" It might work with some girls (the confused ones) at some highschools but probably nowhere beyond that.
