9/11 was a paradigm shift in American foreign policy toward the Middle East. What happens in their countries is now our problem and our concern. They imposed this state of affairs on the world. There is no viable alternative choice but to confront tyranny. Freedom is not a guarantee, it must be protected, defended and fought for. America will never submit, laughter will win against fear. God bless America, democracy and those who keep it.
for 1 day America felt what other people around the world are feeling in their entire lives.
and you go on about 9/11 9/11 did you know how many irakis you killed or how many Vietnamese, how many people died under dictatorship that America funded.
how many democratic elected government America overthrew
Iran lost almost a million people because of you support for saddam in the 80s.
yes a million 1000000 and you shed more tears for 3000
Secretary of State Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire-building by George W. Bush. He answered by saying the following:"Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have EVER asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return." ....... It became very quiet in the room.
Some peoples definition of Americans killing people is very strange. We go to Vietnam to stop the VietCong. The VietCong start to kill people and guess what it is America killing people.
We go to Iraq to stop Saddam killing people, and Al Qaeda starts killing people and guess what it is America killing people.
We support Saddam in a war against Iran and even though there isn't an American in 10000 miles it is America killing people.
LOL, the only thing I disagree with Ron Paul on (that I know of) is the war. I don't believe we are responsible for 9/11 because we had troops in Saudi Arabia. And even if we were why should we allow Al Qaeda to dictate where we send troops?
At any rate it cracks me up how organized you Paul supporter, you have no chance of winning and yet you support him like nuts. I would love Duncan Hunter to win, but thats not going to happen so I am supporting either Guiliani or Thompson
I'm still waiting to hear from "the religion of peace" (supposedly Islam) any 'voice of reason'. Ann Coulter's great question: "It's not are nearly all Muslims terrorists, it's are nearly all terrorists Muslim?" The silence is deafening from Muslims to denounce the 911 attacks. Maybe they all are either terrorists or supporters of terrorism. So much for "the religion of peace".
"Here the country had finally given liberals a war against fundamentalism and they don't want to fight it. They would have, except it would put them on the same side as the United States." Ann Coulter-
They want to start a self sustaining terror campaign with the muslims. It makes their job much easier and they don't have to get their hands dirty faking the attacks.
They want to convince you that there is no way to reason with muslims hell bent on killing every american.
They want their new world order and they want you to go along with it.
Remember more people die every year on the roads than have ever died in acts of terrorism.
Remember there was no way to reason with Hitler, there was no way to reason with Stalin, there was no way to reason with Pol Pot. You cannot reason with evil, and when you try things like the Holocaust happen.
Which the only motive I see for you denying a jihad against the west, you hate Jews and don't want us to help them fight these radical muslims.
The US managed to reasonm with those people very well when you were assisting them to power.
Why would I hate jews? I don't subscribe to any religion and I don't judge people until I know something about them.
I do hate policy that destroys families and creates hatred. That's what can inspire someone to blow themselves up, they're pissed off and have no ohter way to express themselves. Lucky for you that doesn't happen in the US.
Don't like tearing apart families, than perhaps you should stop supporting suicde bombing. Their actions are not in response to actions in the US, after all they attack India, Russia, China, Israel, everyone who isnt muslims. That is not a coincidence.
It would take literaly billions of people to be in on this for it not to be true, get a clue, billions of people are not going to cooperate on anything.
But we digress, how can you care about your country and not be worried about NSPD51? 200+ years of your history and system of government wiped out and your all more interested in Paris Hilton.
Like I said earlier, first of all NSPD51 gives a sufficient enough definition of disaster(or w/e it was). Second the power in the US lies with the people we give the gov. their power and we can take it back at any time. Third in this day and age when crazy muslims want to blow up every woman and child in America some sort of provision like NSPD51 may at some point be necessary.
NSPD51 is the death of america, it's just a matter of time now.
There is no muslim threat, they as a whole are far more peacful and murder far less of you than you of them. It's all propoganda so they can pass things like NSPD51 and people like you think it's a good idea.
Those channels spout the same propoganda as Fox. Al Jazeera has a more balanced view.
So when were you last attacked by muslim terrorists then? More people die of bee stings every year. There is no threat. You're more likely to die of a heart attack while typing an ill thought out reponse.
And stop trying to brand me as an american hater. I only hate your government and what it's doing to your country and the rest of the world.
I share with you a hatred of my government but only with the Democrats and Rino's that are ignorant of the facts.
My frustration is also with people that recklessly post their opinion wanting us to grant equal freedom of civil liberties to terrorists that do want to kill us as if there is no jihad or threat.
Do you thing you might be deficient in your information comparing Fox News with Al Jazeera.
Al Jazeera has been caught having employees working for Al Qaeda and should of been considered a legitimate target for our military to bomb. They might as well be called Al Jihad TV.
Most Iraqis will tell you Al Jazeera has mis-portrayed any success in Iraq after the fall of Saddam Hussein
I agree you cannot fight terrorism, that is a tactic not a group. We have to fight muslim extremists, and what happened in the UK was not organised terrorism, it was much worse. A small group or even a single radical muslim that lives to kill.
You saying there is no Jihad is like me saying there is no internet, even as we speak it is being used.
"Again tell me then when you have seen with your own eyes any terrorism?"
9/11 I work at a hospital in Massachusetts and consoled people that had family members killed on flight 11. My oldest brother a Commander in the Navy was on the doomsday plane on 9/11. My Brother-in-law lost 3 members of his NYPD ESU unit and my other brother set up a triage center in the Battery of Manhattan on 9/11.
Why do you continue to lie, there have been around 64000 deaths in Iraq according to any reliable group. You are off by 90%.
You see everyday jihad and yet you continue to deny it, you have an extremely enhanced capability to fail to connect with reality that continues to amaze me.
Deaths in Iraq are not due to terrorists. They want their country back just as you would if they invaded you. The US fucked it up for them, accept responsibility.
Tell me then when in the last years have you SEEN "jihad" (again a propoganda term) and not on TV.
i heard, there is no airpliane who crashed in the pentagon, the airplane desapeared 15 seconds before the explosion, when profesionals searched in the zone only founded rests of a missile(not of an airplane)
Conspiracy kooks must believe that two things happened at the Pentagon on 9/11. Either 124 people killed there just sat around their desks while someone conveniently placed airplane parts near them or there was very daring extremely fast covert team that ran into the building when it was a ball of fire placing all the airplane parts on the ground.
Were the 76 people injured at the Pentagon in on it? Very grandiose delusional thinking by the blame America first crowd.
I'm from the UK, I moved here because of the beer.
But most of the people throughout europe don't like the US very much at the moment. I think most people here like americans as a people but not the government, that's my view anyway.
But I don't see how that would make any info less valid. I'll bet every country has a "down with america" song, even the US.
I would agree most Europeans don't like the US, the French don't seem to like the people, but most others only hate the government. This is obvious as they all very much enjoy many of our products.
What is right and wrong is not decided by public opinion, it is more important to do what is right, than to be liked.
That's why in America at times we look at old Europe as Eurotrash. We could never be socialists at the level you are and we have our own culture of diversity that includes being rewarded for success.
Honestly we have been doing a job that most of Europe has been afraid to do in Iraq after 15 U.N. resolutions. Zawahiri meet with Saddam in 1998 and the Salman Pak terrorist training camp in Iraq was a threat to America regardless of how your feeling safe in Belgium with your beer.
There is no US resolution for the invasion of Iran any more than there was for Iraq. There is only one nation in human history sick enough to have used a nuke (twice).
And yes I feel perfectly safe, why wouldn't I. There is no threat.
Who taught you history? The cost of invading Japan's homeland would have been at the very minimum 2 million people. You hatred for life and constant desire for as many to die as is possible amazes me
Now as for socialism, you sit there in the US thinking your life is better because you work so much harder. We sit here watching you work so much harder, holding down multiple jobs, being pushed into an early grave with the stress of competition. A big difference is your sitting at a desk, we're sitting outside a cafe enjoying the sun.
Do you have any hope of moving up? You have no chance to become the leader of your country.
You have no chance of becoming the richest man in the world. If you are rich most of your money goes to people who dont work. As your native population decreases your socialist system will break.
I've been to Europe multiple times, our lives hundreds of times better.
What do you think socialism is? It's not communism. I have every chance you do, but get a better education, public services and health care. All for free.
The ironic thing is it's you who has no chance of moving up, becoming a leader or the richest person in the world. Your system is designed to keep you hoping and striving. The people in power are from families that have been in power for generations, same for the people with the real money.
Public services and health care are better here. Yes your education in public schools is better, but our terrible public schools are based on European schoos and our universities far outclass yours.
You pay for all of those btw.
Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, did not come from a rich family. The Clintons had almost no power until Bill came along, neither did the Reagans or the Bushs or the Carters. Time for you to think again
No public services and health care are not better there. Education is far better here. And our universities are better here. It's just that your told from an early age that everything is better there.
For the people in power I suggest you check your facts again.
Arnold Shwarzenager(sp?) didnt even live here. Almost all NFL players are millionares and came from poor families, if you don't think you can't move up here your insane.
I guess its just a matter of opinion but if I need a surgery I want to have it immediately, I don't want to have to wait a year. And if I dont need a surgery I don't want to have to pay for it, apparently you do.
Your quite wrong there, the European heath system is the best in the world. Have a look for yourself, the WHO health report, you come in at number 37 (just ahead of slovenia and behind costa rica.
How many NFL players are there as a percentage of your population? Are you one of them?
That is just one example of many of people moving up in America.
The WHO report puts us at 37 because our healthcare is not "free" even though neither is yours. We have the best doctors, the best equipment, the best facilities, and the best nurses.
Europes public healthcare system is terrible, yes you get treated and yes it is "free" But wait times are ridiculously long, and the quality of care doesnt approach that of the US.
Europe's health care system is anything but terrible, your thinking of one country alone, the UK. If I was going to be sick anywhere in the world it would be in France or Belgium. There is no wait and no bartering with insurance companies. But at 19 your not going to appreciate it for a few years.
True, but I'll be on the military's health care system so for me it will be "free" and no waiting. I was thinking of the UK and Canada, I don't know much about the rest.
Assuming I had insurance I would choose to be sick in the US, if I didn't I would choose a European country but only because the hospital bills are so ridiculously high if you have to pay out of your pocket.
Or you can work and get scholarships and a job, you don't have to join the military so how could it be controlling?
All they do is give you benefits for signing up, and they should. If you choose to serve your country you should get something back for it. And most of us that do join the military do it for that reason, not for the benefits.
Seems to me if the Eurotrash spend so much free time sitting outside at cafes pissing on America than my opinion is were doing everything right.
I feel the same about liberals in America which many of us call "The Hate America First Crowd." These leftists love Eurotrash because they're eager for the illusion of a socialists utopian society. It makes me wonder if old Europe is waiting for the same results.
Sad how leftists have enabled some of the worst tyrants in world history.
I'm just making a counter argument, being the devils advocate. I have my own engineering company and work 14+ hours a day, seven days a week (but that's just me).
So explain to me how it's better to work much harder and end up with the same (or less). Most of the jobs in the world benifit the system not people. Even my own job, all I do is make consumer electronics, does that really benifit anyone? Or just make new things for consumers that they don't really need.
If you are working 14 hours a week 7 days a week very few people here work harder than you, but if they do they take home a bigger paycheck, and they decide how to spend their money. The government is not their mother.
I would have to know specifically what you are making, but I expect it does benefit people. Cell Phones, TVs, Computers all benefit people.
I'd love to sit around but it's going to happen. I'm just asking why you thinks it's better to work harder if you end up in the same place at the end of it?
BTW. When I'm working in the US I get paid less for the same work. There is more money in europe, it's a much larger single market.
It depends how you look at it, I don't see it as being in the same place. The government doesn't tell me how I'm going to spend my money. Also if you look at census data you will see that Americans have more cars, TV's, phones, ect. per capita, so you dont end up in the same place.
You might get paid less, but almost everything costs less in the US. All of Europe combined is barely bigger than the US economy wise.
Yes, I work there from time to time but only in CA. I like the place and most of the people. I don't remember how we got onto health care, USA vs Europe. It started out as a comment on NSPD51 and the damage it could do to the country.
Europe paints our President as a dictator due to his toughness on terrorism and Saddam.
Its nice to remind Europe that they need to look in the mirror every once and a while. Enabling genocide of real dictators like Saddam, Hitler, Stalin, Castro and Pol Pot is what the left does best.
Our country historically has taken in refugees from all this genocide and we are tired of hearing crabby Eurotrash loathing us all the time.
Saddam, Hitler, Stalin and pol pot? You really need to learn more about the history of your country. Not the crap your fed in the propoganda centers you call schools but the real history of the US and the UK.
NSPD51 is presidential directive 51. It was enacted on the 9th May by Bush but seems to not be as worthy of news in the US as Paris Hilton.
It gives Bush, in the event of a national emergency, completre control of your government down to state and tribal level including private organizations.
It's the last nail in the coffin for the USA as you used to know it and if you think this will end with Bush.....
I would have to read the law first, I dont want to do that kind of research right now. But I am not worried that the US is going to turn into the USSR
You read landmark laws because people who you respect point them out to you, first of all it is not a landmark law. Second of all I will read the law and debate in a couple of weeks but right now I am madly trying to find a new job.
NSPD51 gives Bush dictatorial control in the event of a catastrophe. Problem is catastrophe is so broadly defined it's only a matter of time before it happens and if it's not Bush it will be the next person. This kind of directive is impleneted in weeks but will last for decades.
"Catastrophic Emergency" means any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage...
This definition satisfies me, you assume that Americans rely on the government to protect our freedom. We don't, we rely on ourselves the government does control Americans, Americans control our government. And while such directives by European monarchies are absolute, no law or decree in the US is absolute.
Do you have any idea how much effort it took to get that far?
Jose Padilla was held in Guantanamo without any constitutional rights. The fact he has now been indicted after a long struggle proves the illegality of the system.
He also was in Pakistani and Afghani terrorist training camps, most Americans don't go to those places. Anyways nothing will be proven until the trial is over.
Obviously though the FBI does not follow this as Nazis held a march (I believe in Illinois) recently, animal rights groups, PETA, have no problem operating. Churches are rampant in America and we have about 25 million illegal immigrants, none of which the FBI is attempting to lock up.
Doesn't mean they will lock everyone up but it does mean they can lock anyone up, without rights. A lot of people died giving you those rights that were given away so quickly between 03:45am and 11:00am of the same day when the patriot act was passed. Which interestingly also coincides with the anthrax letters that were mailed to senators who opposed it.
I'm not entirely for the patriot act, I think there needs to be revisions. But there haven't been documented cases of what you say happening. If there is evidence of an innocent person being locked up the media will be all over it, its big business.
Jose Padilla is one, there are others but one problem is that with habeas corpus suspended the state doesn't have to provide any access to the person detained or even admit to detaining them. So who know's how many are held for sure or where?
Everyone has family and friends, I wouldn't say that is right, but I wouldn't say it is happening either.
Who knows there could be a martian behind you right now that follows you all day, but you don't know because when anyone looks at him he goes invisible. You have to prove that the martian is there, not that the martian isn't there. In this case you have to prove that it is happening not that it isnt happening.
One guy? We can say currently if he is innocent or guilty, but his trial is underway(i believe) and we can then read the transcripts and find the truth.
Only after pressure, if the government had had their way you wouldn't be able to see anything.
Aren't you even slightly disturbed that the government can hold people without trial, rights or having to tell anyone they're holding you. For as long as they want or try you with a private tribunal?
by "people" I assume you mean American citizens. If they are suspected of planning terrorist activity and are not an American citizen they should have a military trial. If they are an American citizen there should be a civilian trial, but it does need to be different from say a suspected thief, this is much more serious.
Of course if they are caught on the battlefield that is an entirely different story.
But your government can now declare you an enemy combatant, without evidence or trail, and strip you of your citizenship, hold you indefinatly, torture you, hold a military tribunal and even if your acquitted they can still hold you. And all this time your not allowed access to anyone.
If your not allowed to access ne1 how did Jose Padilla get in touch with his lawyers to ask for a civilian trial.
You can access people and in the US the press carries an enormous amount of influence. If they collectively decide to do something 99% of the time it will happen.
I haven't heard you say if you believe we should leave Iraq tomorrow?
I think you should get out today not tomorrow. Yes there will be a civil war and when it's done leave it to other countries who still operate through the UN to offer aid IF the iraqis want it.
Jose Padilla - you read what happened. He is just one of many. Try looking for "patriot act used"
Iraq contributes a measely 5% of all oil to opec...compared to Venezuela at 17%...that oil arguement is old and warn out. it was nice to seel some papers though..do research by all means though...Wasnt an Al-Qaeda "boss" just killed in Iraq the other day. who plants ied's, and kills iraqi police/poloticians with car bombs? WHO? Its a war on terrorism, not Iraq my friend
yeah, cuz they dont deserve to be free, and we want to be attacked again. Explain the election turn out again...why did everyone have blue fingers, was it to point out the terrorist in their country during a war on terrorism??? or did our troops force them to vote LOL
...and if you honestly dont think they have wmd's...search halabja, and chemical ali...look at those pics, and then say the dont have wmds and arent terrorist...learn more please or just stop, this is too easy Terrorist and those that harbor them..I know you cant wait for 9.11 pt 2, but we have to wait for Hiliary for that lol
Halabja..Kurds...check it out for yourself...and you can only buy what OPEC PUTS OUT THERE, no one buys, or steels, any oil from anyone in the meiddle east without OPEC...so yes, your argument is weak. We're going green to prove it, like Brazil. Oh, well an AQ leader was just killed in IRAQ...well????
There is no leader of AQ anywhere so no you didn't kill him. There are terrorists in the world (of which the US is the largest) but they disn't come under any banner of AQ until bush's people invented it.
You said HAVE WMD's not had.
Pre war russia, france and germany had oil contacts with iraq with the US and UK excluded. Post war iraq's nationalised oil industry was privatised and contracts only went to US and UK companies.
alot have wmds, and with a war on terroism, i'd hate to be a "terroist country" caught with them ...as iraq was...did you look up Halabja? apparently not. ignorance is bliss and your as happy as a lark...and no there isnt one in Iraq...cuz he is DEAD...BOOM
68 killed or found dead in Iraq as suicide bombers target Sunni Arab city of Ramadi
The al Qaeda leader in Iraq, Abu Ayyub al-Masri, has been killed in an internal fight between insurgents, the interior ministry said.
Masri, an Egyptian who is also known as Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, assumed the leadership of al Qaeda in Iraq after Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed in June.
I'm sure the relevent governments are more then happy to make press releases about AQ since they invented it and want you to beleive in it. The terrorist threat is a myth your government wants to scare you with.
In June 2006 a statement signed by al Qaeda said that the shura council of al Qaeda in Iraq "unanimously agreed on Sheikh Abu Hamza al-Muhajir to be a successor to Sheikh Abu Musab al-Zarqawi".
In September, Al Arabiya television said Iraq's al Qaeda wing posted a video of its new leader reading a statement before the killing of a Turkish hostage.
The pictures showed three masked men standing behind the seated hostage. Behind them was a black banner saying: "No God but Allah". An accompanying statement said the al Qaeda in Iraq leader was one of the three.
**Shall I continue with the no terrorist in Iraq arguement???
There are all sorts of nutters in Iraq, some are terrorists, some are freedom fighters for iraq (just because they don't fight your troops the way you want doesn't make them terrorists). Others are US, UK and merc troops staging attacks for the cameras.
There is even some proof that some of the hostage beheadings were done at abu ghraib.
okay, i thought you said there were no terrorist in Iraq. Nuff said, terroist countries and thos that harbor them-and we have allies that are with us on that ...SPAIN, I think the English, but who knows about them...and how did Iraqis get freedom tpo fight for? Theyre blowing up soft tragets like kids and other civilliams.
The spanish and english governments might be your allies but the people aren't. Most of us can see though propoganda, your selective TV only shows the market place bombings and civilian casualties (although who is responsible is debatable). Branding anyone who fights against the US as terrorists.
The US is responsible for many more civilian deaths in Iraq than anyone else, including saddam.
Still doesn't prove that AQ exists in any real sense, it just proves that your government want you to belive it. Some people will adopt the name but it doesn't mean there is some super network of terrorists.
If the government is trying to take away your (law abiding citizen's) gun it is breaking the supreme law of the land, and thus it is not the government spoken of in this law.
there are 250 million guns in America, so it is probably safe to say 100 million own guns and 75 million wouldn't want to give them up. Do you really think the government could lock up 25% of an armed population illegaly w/o facing opposition?
It's taken about 2 decades in the UK and it's still not complete. As in the UK controls will be phased in every time there is an incident that captures to the publics attention then they will introduce controls for certain types of guns. Each time they will get stricter until certain types of guns are banned (if you want to buy them legally). Each step of the way it will sound reasonable.
I think the 2nd ammendment is an important part of the constitution.
It's possible that this could happen, but the so called "gun culture" in the US is very strong. We just had the VT shooting, but it does not look like anymore restrictions will be put on guns. We might see psychological records and criminal records combined in a background check, but no more restrictions. In fact there have been arguments that we need guns on campuses.
As long as Americans keep their inteligence(what little they have) what you say won't happen
That's the way it started in the UK, all reasonable little steps. First it was a licence you had to just buy from the post office, then police background checks, lists of weapons, limits on the type and quantity of weapons and ammunition. Then when they know where they all are they started to ban them each time there was an incident with a legal gun. Now all you can have in the UK is a shotgun with police approval and a rifle in very rare cases.
Which is why I am opposed to all such bans. The only ban I support is keeping guns away from felons and mentally insane, other than that I believe it should be open.
the term "international terrorism" means activities that—
(A) involve violent acts or acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State, or that would be a criminal violation if committed within the jurisdiction of the United States or of any State;
As for removal of civil liberities you lost big chunks of the bill of rights under the patriot act (Amendments 1, 4, 5, 6, 8). In the UK they tried to pass similar laws but didn't fare so well. Under USAPA2 you have even less rights.
Any US citizen can be declared an enemy combatant without proof or trail and held indefinatly and it has been used.
You're wrong, I can still say w/e i want, write w/e i want, get together with my friends w/e i want, be w/e religion i want. My house and car and person cannot be searched without a warrant. If I was arrested there would be a trial within a reasonable amount of time and I would not have to face that trial twice and reasonable would be posted.
I have not read them entirely, and am pretty confident that you haven't either. I have read them enough, and heard enough of opposition to it that I know it does not take away those rights.
You should actually go read them, instead of left-wing opinions of them.
American citizens are not powerless, we do not have to rely simply on our government to protect us and on laws to keep our freedoms. Almost every American stands as a hedge against tyranny and taking away of rights. If what you say is true, I dare the FBI to start arresting innocent people of the street. Our government does not control us, we control our government.
According to the FBI guide lines "defenders of the us constitution against federal government" are considered terrorists. Using a gun to defefend your country against it's government makes you a terrorist under 18 USCA 2331.
Anyway, that's for part 2, clinton (or some other puppet) will come to power, impose gun controls and dissarm the militias. Goodbye 2nd ammendment.
"If tyranny and oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy"
Watch what happens if anyone tries to take our guns away. I'm sure you've heard the speech by the NRA guy "from my cold dead hands" Of course hopefully they haven't taken control of the Supreme Court and we can effect change just like MLK.
I just 18 USCA 2331 and that quote is incorrect. I will post the main section in another comment.
One more thing, they dont seem to understand that radical islam is at war with the US. They want to treat it as a criminal problem, and not a war, which is interesting because Britian, France, Spain, Greece, Egypt, Saudia Arabia, Jordan, India and others have all done that and all have been attacked by terrorists since 9/11
The attacks you mention are debatable as to who was responsible, and not space to do it here. But at the end of the day, yes they're sick and horrible but more people die on the roads every day, from AIDS or poverty. The appropriate reponse would be to find the criminals, not invade countries killing hundreds of thousands of them thousands of your own and in the process creating the hate that will inspire the next generation.
Actually less people die now in Iraq than did under Saddam. Yes, more people die from disease and accidents and yet the far left screams about all the death and destruction in Iraq. The difference is one is preventable, and we have prevented more deaths than we have caused, especially if we see the big picture 100 years down the road. That is if we finish what we started.
Sanctions were in place by Saddam's choice, he is the reason for those deaths.
As to wethere there will be oil or a US as we know it, I don't know, but I do know that I am going to fight for the US of freedom. As for oil, I could care less the world will go on no matter which way it goes.
But your not fighting for freedom, your just accepting the states propoganda and forgeting all your american history lessons and what it took to found your country in the first place.
God bless America, democracy and those who keep it.

how many democratic elected government America overthrew
Iran lost almost a million people because of you support for saddam in the 80s.
yes a million 1000000 and you shed more tears for 3000
and you say u are human.

Someone needs new logic

Ah yes. This day. This was to Bush was OKC was to Kinton: an excuse to attack liberty. Of course Klinton did not have a lapdog congress.
Now the Freepers talk the talk of fascism: "Everything's changed since they burned the Reichstag.... uh... 0911".
Thanks. Sorry I freeped Al Gore in 2000. So just like 1930s Germany we have to choose between the left (socialists) or the right (fascists).
Its revolution calling ether way.
Ron Paul 2008. Stick that in your crack pipes, neocons.
DoktorJeep 4 years ago

HankeePankeeYankee 4 years ago
While we are on quotes here is another
"Here the country had finally given liberals a war against fundamentalism and they don't want to fight it. They would have, except it would put them on the same side as the United States." Ann Coulter-
cmddrums 4 years ago
They want to start a self sustaining terror campaign with the muslims. It makes their job much easier and they don't have to get their hands dirty faking the attacks.
They want to convince you that there is no way to reason with muslims hell bent on killing every american.
They want their new world order and they want you to go along with it.
Remember more people die every year on the roads than have ever died in acts of terrorism.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Remember there was no way to reason with Hitler, there was no way to reason with Stalin, there was no way to reason with Pol Pot. You cannot reason with evil, and when you try things like the Holocaust happen.
Which the only motive I see for you denying a jihad against the west, you hate Jews and don't want us to help them fight these radical muslims.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
The US managed to reasonm with those people very well when you were assisting them to power.
Why would I hate jews? I don't subscribe to any religion and I don't judge people until I know something about them.
I do hate policy that destroys families and creates hatred. That's what can inspire someone to blow themselves up, they're pissed off and have no ohter way to express themselves. Lucky for you that doesn't happen in the US.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Don't like tearing apart families, than perhaps you should stop supporting suicde bombing. Their actions are not in response to actions in the US, after all they attack India, Russia, China, Israel, everyone who isnt muslims. That is not a coincidence.
It would take literaly billions of people to be in on this for it not to be true, get a clue, billions of people are not going to cooperate on anything.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
But we digress, how can you care about your country and not be worried about NSPD51? 200+ years of your history and system of government wiped out and your all more interested in Paris Hilton.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Like I said earlier, first of all NSPD51 gives a sufficient enough definition of disaster(or w/e it was). Second the power in the US lies with the people we give the gov. their power and we can take it back at any time. Third in this day and age when crazy muslims want to blow up every woman and child in America some sort of provision like NSPD51 may at some point be necessary.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
NSPD51 is the death of america, it's just a matter of time now.
There is no muslim threat, they as a whole are far more peacful and murder far less of you than you of them. It's all propoganda so they can pass things like NSPD51 and people like you think it's a good idea.

If you want to look at propaganda just turn on the socialist government run news networks including from our own liberals here in the U.S.
They all share the same left wing drivel such as NPR, PBS, BBC, CBC, France 24, ARD just to name a few. The hate America club
cmddrums 4 years ago
Those channels spout the same propoganda as Fox. Al Jazeera has a more balanced view.
So when were you last attacked by muslim terrorists then? More people die of bee stings every year. There is no threat. You're more likely to die of a heart attack while typing an ill thought out reponse.
And stop trying to brand me as an american hater. I only hate your government and what it's doing to your country and the rest of the world.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
I share with you a hatred of my government but only with the Democrats and Rino's that are ignorant of the facts.
My frustration is also with people that recklessly post their opinion wanting us to grant equal freedom of civil liberties to terrorists that do want to kill us as if there is no jihad or threat.
cmddrums 4 years ago
Do you thing you might be deficient in your information comparing Fox News with Al Jazeera.
Al Jazeera has been caught having employees working for Al Qaeda and should of been considered a legitimate target for our military to bomb. They might as well be called Al Jihad TV.
Most Iraqis will tell you Al Jazeera has mis-portrayed any success in Iraq after the fall of Saddam Hussein
cmddrums 4 years ago
There is no success in Iraq, unless you count killing 600000 civilians a success.
There is no alqaeda (in any sense you mean).
There is no Jihad, if there was you'd soon know about it.
It's all a con. One you wouldn't be willing to give up your liberities without. You haven't been attacked or seen a single terrorist incident.
Fox spend millions convincing you there is a threat.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Who's side are you on in the war on terrorism?
There were 3 attacks in the UK. Two in England one in Glasgow. Do you want to go on record stating they weren't Al Qaeda?
Iraqi insurgents in Iraq are now fighting against Al Qaeda along side U.S. and Iraqi troops and its all over the News including the leftist CNN.
Explain to me why you think there is no Jihad against the West?
cmddrums 4 years ago
There is no war on terror, you cannot fight terrorism. All you can do is educate and respect.
The FAILED attack in the UK was not organised terrorism. If it was exposives would have been used not a small camping gas cylinder.
CNN leftist, hahahahaha
There is no jihad against the west, because there isn't. It's like me asking you why were not under threat of invasion from mars, becuase were not.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
I agree you cannot fight terrorism, that is a tactic not a group. We have to fight muslim extremists, and what happened in the UK was not organised terrorism, it was much worse. A small group or even a single radical muslim that lives to kill.
You saying there is no Jihad is like me saying there is no internet, even as we speak it is being used.
MajorFriend 4 years ago

mortalmerlin 4 years ago
"Again tell me then when you have seen with your own eyes any terrorism?"
9/11 I work at a hospital in Massachusetts and consoled people that had family members killed on flight 11. My oldest brother a Commander in the Navy was on the doomsday plane on 9/11. My Brother-in-law lost 3 members of his NYPD ESU unit and my other brother set up a triage center in the Battery of Manhattan on 9/11.
Got any other questions?
cmddrums 4 years ago
If you were so close to those murdered by your own government, why do you defend them?
But still, you haven't given me a real example of terrorism yet. You can't because there isn't any in the US.

Like I said, I don't hate America.
It's not just a European point of view that;
A) the 911 attacks were an inside job
B) there is no real terrorism in the US
C) NSPD51, when it is enforced, will spell the end of your country.
These are views mainly thought up and held by Americans.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Actress Rosie O'Donnell was fired from The View for such opinions and encouraged to seek psychiatric help.
A minority of Americans buy into that crap. Most Americans refuse to be propaganda tools for our enemies.
David Horowitz has a book called Unholy Alliance which is about the relationship of radical Islam and the American Left.
This book should be a must read for Europeans that have been sheltered from such opinions.

Why do you continue to lie, there have been around 64000 deaths in Iraq according to any reliable group. You are off by 90%.
You see everyday jihad and yet you continue to deny it, you have an extremely enhanced capability to fail to connect with reality that continues to amaze me.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
Deaths in Iraq are not due to terrorists. They want their country back just as you would if they invaded you. The US fucked it up for them, accept responsibility.
Tell me then when in the last years have you SEEN "jihad" (again a propoganda term) and not on TV.

This articles settles all the nonsense about any conspiracies kooks could come up with when they would rather blame America first.
cmddrums 4 years ago
There is a security camera that has footage of the plane hitting, so you are incorrect.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
Conspiracy kooks must believe that two things happened at the Pentagon on 9/11. Either 124 people killed there just sat around their desks while someone conveniently placed airplane parts near them or there was very daring extremely fast covert team that ran into the building when it was a ball of fire placing all the airplane parts on the ground.
Were the 76 people injured at the Pentagon in on it? Very grandiose delusional thinking by the blame America first crowd.
cmddrums 4 years ago
There is NO footage of a plane hitting the pentagon. There are only two video's available to the public and neither shows a plane.
Popular mechanics is run by a guy who has received awards from the CIA.
The people in the pentagon (the section that was unused at the time) wouldn't have had much time to register if it was a plane, missile or tuna fish.

mortalmerlin 4 years ago
I would agree most Europeans don't like the US, the French don't seem to like the people, but most others only hate the government. This is obvious as they all very much enjoy many of our products.
What is right and wrong is not decided by public opinion, it is more important to do what is right, than to be liked.

That's why in America at times we look at old Europe as Eurotrash. We could never be socialists at the level you are and we have our own culture of diversity that includes being rewarded for success.
Honestly we have been doing a job that most of Europe has been afraid to do in Iraq after 15 U.N. resolutions. Zawahiri meet with Saddam in 1998 and the Salman Pak terrorist training camp in Iraq was a threat to America regardless of how your feeling safe in Belgium with your beer.
cmddrums 4 years ago
There is no terrorist threat in the US.
There is no US resolution for the invasion of Iran any more than there was for Iraq. There is only one nation in human history sick enough to have used a nuke (twice).
And yes I feel perfectly safe, why wouldn't I. There is no threat.

Which system is better again?
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Do you have any hope of moving up? You have no chance to become the leader of your country.
You have no chance of becoming the richest man in the world. If you are rich most of your money goes to people who dont work. As your native population decreases your socialist system will break.
I've been to Europe multiple times, our lives hundreds of times better.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
What do you think socialism is? It's not communism. I have every chance you do, but get a better education, public services and health care. All for free.
The ironic thing is it's you who has no chance of moving up, becoming a leader or the richest person in the world. Your system is designed to keep you hoping and striving. The people in power are from families that have been in power for generations, same for the people with the real money.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Public services and health care are better here. Yes your education in public schools is better, but our terrible public schools are based on European schoos and our universities far outclass yours.
You pay for all of those btw.
Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, did not come from a rich family. The Clintons had almost no power until Bill came along, neither did the Reagans or the Bushs or the Carters. Time for you to think again
MajorFriend 4 years ago
No public services and health care are not better there. Education is far better here. And our universities are better here. It's just that your told from an early age that everything is better there.
For the people in power I suggest you check your facts again.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Arnold Shwarzenager(sp?) didnt even live here. Almost all NFL players are millionares and came from poor families, if you don't think you can't move up here your insane.
I guess its just a matter of opinion but if I need a surgery I want to have it immediately, I don't want to have to wait a year. And if I dont need a surgery I don't want to have to pay for it, apparently you do.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
Your quite wrong there, the European heath system is the best in the world. Have a look for yourself, the WHO health report, you come in at number 37 (just ahead of slovenia and behind costa rica.
How many NFL players are there as a percentage of your population? Are you one of them?
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
That is just one example of many of people moving up in America.
The WHO report puts us at 37 because our healthcare is not "free" even though neither is yours. We have the best doctors, the best equipment, the best facilities, and the best nurses.
Europes public healthcare system is terrible, yes you get treated and yes it is "free" But wait times are ridiculously long, and the quality of care doesnt approach that of the US.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
Europe's health care system is anything but terrible, your thinking of one country alone, the UK. If I was going to be sick anywhere in the world it would be in France or Belgium. There is no wait and no bartering with insurance companies. But at 19 your not going to appreciate it for a few years.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
True, but I'll be on the military's health care system so for me it will be "free" and no waiting. I was thinking of the UK and Canada, I don't know much about the rest.
Assuming I had insurance I would choose to be sick in the US, if I didn't I would choose a European country but only because the hospital bills are so ridiculously high if you have to pay out of your pocket.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
So, if you want free health care (or education) you have to join the army. And you don't think that is your government controlling you?
They may not force you to sign up but they create and maintain the economic and educational systems to ensure that you do.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Or you can work and get scholarships and a job, you don't have to join the military so how could it be controlling?
All they do is give you benefits for signing up, and they should. If you choose to serve your country you should get something back for it. And most of us that do join the military do it for that reason, not for the benefits.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
Seems to me if the Eurotrash spend so much free time sitting outside at cafes pissing on America than my opinion is were doing everything right.

MajorFriend 4 years ago
I'd love to sit around but it's going to happen. I'm just asking why you thinks it's better to work harder if you end up in the same place at the end of it?
BTW. When I'm working in the US I get paid less for the same work. There is more money in europe, it's a much larger single market.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
It depends how you look at it, I don't see it as being in the same place. The government doesn't tell me how I'm going to spend my money. Also if you look at census data you will see that Americans have more cars, TV's, phones, ect. per capita, so you dont end up in the same place.
You might get paid less, but almost everything costs less in the US. All of Europe combined is barely bigger than the US economy wise.

Yes, I work there from time to time but only in CA. I like the place and most of the people. I don't remember how we got onto health care, USA vs Europe. It started out as a comment on NSPD51 and the damage it could do to the country.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
"It started out as a comment on NSPD51"
Europe paints our President as a dictator due to his toughness on terrorism and Saddam.
Its nice to remind Europe that they need to look in the mirror every once and a while. Enabling genocide of real dictators like Saddam, Hitler, Stalin, Castro and Pol Pot is what the left does best.
Our country historically has taken in refugees from all this genocide and we are tired of hearing crabby Eurotrash loathing us all the time.
cmddrums 4 years ago
Saddam, Hitler, Stalin and pol pot? You really need to learn more about the history of your country. Not the crap your fed in the propoganda centers you call schools but the real history of the US and the UK.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Hello again.
I was wondering, in the light of my pervious arguments about the loss of civil liberties, what you made of PD51?
The next disaster the befalls the US and Bush is your absolute dictator, he also gets to stay in power if it interferes with the elections in 2008.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
I'm not sure what you mean by PD51, but you watch 2008 and the elections will come and Bush will go without incident.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
NSPD51 is presidential directive 51. It was enacted on the 9th May by Bush but seems to not be as worthy of news in the US as Paris Hilton.
It gives Bush, in the event of a national emergency, completre control of your government down to state and tribal level including private organizations.
It's the last nail in the coffin for the USA as you used to know it and if you think this will end with Bush.....
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
I would have to read the law first, I dont want to do that kind of research right now. But I am not worried that the US is going to turn into the USSR
MajorFriend 4 years ago
What can I say to that. It's a sad state when a guy from belgium reads landmark US laws and you from the US are too busy.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
You read landmark laws because people who you respect point them out to you, first of all it is not a landmark law. Second of all I will read the law and debate in a couple of weeks but right now I am madly trying to find a new job.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
How can the change from 3 branches of government to one executive one not be landmark?
It's what everyone from the founding fathers to Kennedy have been warning about.

mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Do you really think if Bush had taken dictatorial control of this country he would be doing the things he his with compromising and what not.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
NSPD51 gives Bush dictatorial control in the event of a catastrophe. Problem is catastrophe is so broadly defined it's only a matter of time before it happens and if it's not Bush it will be the next person. This kind of directive is impleneted in weeks but will last for decades.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Where can I read this?
MajorFriend 4 years ago

mortalmerlin 4 years ago
"Catastrophic Emergency" means any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage...
This definition satisfies me, you assume that Americans rely on the government to protect our freedom. We don't, we rely on ourselves the government does control Americans, Americans control our government. And while such directives by European monarchies are absolute, no law or decree in the US is absolute.

Jose Padilla was held in Guantanamo without any constitutional rights. The fact he has now been indicted after a long struggle proves the illegality of the system.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
He also was in Pakistani and Afghani terrorist training camps, most Americans don't go to those places. Anyways nothing will be proven until the trial is over.

Also on the same list are;

Animal rights groups
And my favorites;
Lone individuals and People with nuclear weapons :)
You can find it online by searching "fbi defenders consitution"
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
lol, ppl with nuclear weapons ya thats a hazard.
Obviously though the FBI does not follow this as Nazis held a march (I believe in Illinois) recently, animal rights groups, PETA, have no problem operating. Churches are rampant in America and we have about 25 million illegal immigrants, none of which the FBI is attempting to lock up.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
Doesn't mean they will lock everyone up but it does mean they can lock anyone up, without rights. A lot of people died giving you those rights that were given away so quickly between 03:45am and 11:00am of the same day when the patriot act was passed. Which interestingly also coincides with the anthrax letters that were mailed to senators who opposed it.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
I'm not entirely for the patriot act, I think there needs to be revisions. But there haven't been documented cases of what you say happening. If there is evidence of an innocent person being locked up the media will be all over it, its big business.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
Jose Padilla is one, there are others but one problem is that with habeas corpus suspended the state doesn't have to provide any access to the person detained or even admit to detaining them. So who know's how many are held for sure or where?
You can't say that's in any way right.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Everyone has family and friends, I wouldn't say that is right, but I wouldn't say it is happening either.
Who knows there could be a martian behind you right now that follows you all day, but you don't know because when anyone looks at him he goes invisible. You have to prove that the martian is there, not that the martian isn't there. In this case you have to prove that it is happening not that it isnt happening.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
I gave you a name of a US citizen being held in Gauntanamo, that's proof.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
One guy? We can say currently if he is innocent or guilty, but his trial is underway(i believe) and we can then read the transcripts and find the truth.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
Only after pressure, if the government had had their way you wouldn't be able to see anything.
Aren't you even slightly disturbed that the government can hold people without trial, rights or having to tell anyone they're holding you. For as long as they want or try you with a private tribunal?
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
by "people" I assume you mean American citizens. If they are suspected of planning terrorist activity and are not an American citizen they should have a military trial. If they are an American citizen there should be a civilian trial, but it does need to be different from say a suspected thief, this is much more serious.
Of course if they are caught on the battlefield that is an entirely different story.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
But your government can now declare you an enemy combatant, without evidence or trail, and strip you of your citizenship, hold you indefinatly, torture you, hold a military tribunal and even if your acquitted they can still hold you. And all this time your not allowed access to anyone.
Read the bill on terror detainees.

You can access people and in the US the press carries an enormous amount of influence. If they collectively decide to do something 99% of the time it will happen.
I haven't heard you say if you believe we should leave Iraq tomorrow?
MajorFriend 4 years ago
I think you should get out today not tomorrow. Yes there will be a civil war and when it's done leave it to other countries who still operate through the UN to offer aid IF the iraqis want it.
Jose Padilla - you read what happened. He is just one of many. Try looking for "patriot act used"
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Is it possible that they were accused because they were involved in active planning.
You think we should leave today, than you don't value Iraqi lives? Thats like saying hey if someone wants to commit suicide let them.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
You need to get out of Iraq, yes people will die but the majority of Iraqis don't want you there steeling their oil.
If you hadn't gone there in the first place they wouldn't be dying would they.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Iraq contributes a measely 5% of all oil to opec...compared to Venezuela at 17%...that oil arguement is old and warn out. it was nice to seel some papers though..do research by all means though...Wasnt an Al-Qaeda "boss" just killed in Iraq the other day. who plants ied's, and kills iraqi police/poloticians with car bombs? WHO? Its a war on terrorism, not Iraq my friend
swiftyread 4 years ago
Oil sold in euro, old and worn out. I'll bet it the first time you have heard of it.
No the AQ boss wasn't killed because there is no boss.
Just because people don't fight in the way you want them to doesn't make them terrorists.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
No, but blowing up civilians does.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
THEY WERE DYING BEFORE WE GOT THERE, by the hundreds of thousands.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
Only now it's by the 10's and 100's of thousdands.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Yup, and they are still being killed by their own people.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
yeah, cuz they dont deserve to be free, and we want to be attacked again. Explain the election turn out again...why did everyone have blue fingers, was it to point out the terrorist in their country during a war on terrorism??? or did our troops force them to vote LOL
swiftyread 4 years ago
No your troops stop very lareg numbers pof them voting by declaring the security situation to be too bad.
The only terrorists in Iraq are from the US.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
...and if you honestly dont think they have wmd's...search halabja, and chemical ali...look at those pics, and then say the dont have wmds and arent terrorist...learn more please or just stop, this is too easy Terrorist and those that harbor them..I know you cant wait for 9.11 pt 2, but we have to wait for Hiliary for that lol
swiftyread 4 years ago
So your now saying Iraq has WMD's?
I think there will be a repeat of 911, the US government needs it so they can attack Iran.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Halabja..Kurds...check it out for yourself...and you can only buy what OPEC PUTS OUT THERE, no one buys, or steels, any oil from anyone in the meiddle east without OPEC...so yes, your argument is weak. We're going green to prove it, like Brazil. Oh, well an AQ leader was just killed in IRAQ...well????
swiftyread 4 years ago
There is no leader of AQ anywhere so no you didn't kill him. There are terrorists in the world (of which the US is the largest) but they disn't come under any banner of AQ until bush's people invented it.
You said HAVE WMD's not had.
Pre war russia, france and germany had oil contacts with iraq with the US and UK excluded. Post war iraq's nationalised oil industry was privatised and contracts only went to US and UK companies.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Well then there is definately no other explanation for why we went to Iraq, that has to be the only reason.
You obviously feel the need to be superior as every human does, and so you set out to distinguish yourself by believing in a false truth.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
key word"contacts"
alot have wmds, and with a war on terroism, i'd hate to be a "terroist country" caught with them ...as iraq was...did you look up Halabja? apparently not. ignorance is bliss and your as happy as a lark...and no there isnt one in Iraq...cuz he is DEAD...BOOM
swiftyread 4 years ago
I know about halabja, I don't need to look it up. But that wasn't a terrorist attack. That was state sanctioned genocide.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
okay, i'll do your research for you
68 killed or found dead in Iraq as suicide bombers target Sunni Arab city of Ramadi
The al Qaeda leader in Iraq, Abu Ayyub al-Masri, has been killed in an internal fight between insurgents, the interior ministry said.
Masri, an Egyptian who is also known as Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, assumed the leadership of al Qaeda in Iraq after Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed in June.
swiftyread 4 years ago
I'm sure the relevent governments are more then happy to make press releases about AQ since they invented it and want you to beleive in it. The terrorist threat is a myth your government wants to scare you with.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Youre education is now done, youre graduated to a higher level, but be a gentleman for crying out loud, and stop this foolishness
swiftyread 4 years ago
In June 2006 a statement signed by al Qaeda said that the shura council of al Qaeda in Iraq "unanimously agreed on Sheikh Abu Hamza al-Muhajir to be a successor to Sheikh Abu Musab al-Zarqawi".
there, these are documentable proofs for you
2 terrorist leaders LOL
didnt we save your country during wwII as well???
short memory?
swiftyread 4 years ago
In September, Al Arabiya television said Iraq's al Qaeda wing posted a video of its new leader reading a statement before the killing of a Turkish hostage.
swiftyread 4 years ago
The pictures showed three masked men standing behind the seated hostage. Behind them was a black banner saying: "No God but Allah". An accompanying statement said the al Qaeda in Iraq leader was one of the three.
**Shall I continue with the no terrorist in Iraq arguement???
swiftyread 4 years ago
There are all sorts of nutters in Iraq, some are terrorists, some are freedom fighters for iraq (just because they don't fight your troops the way you want doesn't make them terrorists). Others are US, UK and merc troops staging attacks for the cameras.
There is even some proof that some of the hostage beheadings were done at abu ghraib.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
okay, i thought you said there were no terrorist in Iraq. Nuff said, terroist countries and thos that harbor them-and we have allies that are with us on that ...SPAIN, I think the English, but who knows about them...and how did Iraqis get freedom tpo fight for? Theyre blowing up soft tragets like kids and other civilliams.
swiftyread 4 years ago
The spanish and english governments might be your allies but the people aren't. Most of us can see though propoganda, your selective TV only shows the market place bombings and civilian casualties (although who is responsible is debatable). Branding anyone who fights against the US as terrorists.
The US is responsible for many more civilian deaths in Iraq than anyone else, including saddam.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Still doesn't prove that AQ exists in any real sense, it just proves that your government want you to belive it. Some people will adopt the name but it doesn't mean there is some super network of terrorists.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
okay, a question, what paper reported the below statements? Was it an US Sponsored Paper, or was it an arab paper?
swiftyread 4 years ago
Ya Al Qaeda aren't terrorists, they are just noble "freedom fighters" though its not clear whose freedom.

the term "domestic terrorism" means activities that—
(A) involve acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State;
MajorFriend 4 years ago
So in what way does using your guns to defend your constitutional rights against the government not come under;
(5) the term "domestic terrorism" means activities that—
(B) appear to be intended—
(ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion;
Not that you'd get a chance to explain as you would be in a camp like guantanamo with no rights at all.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
If the government is trying to take away your (law abiding citizen's) gun it is breaking the supreme law of the land, and thus it is not the government spoken of in this law.
there are 250 million guns in America, so it is probably safe to say 100 million own guns and 75 million wouldn't want to give them up. Do you really think the government could lock up 25% of an armed population illegaly w/o facing opposition?
MajorFriend 4 years ago
It won't be done all in one go.
I think the 2nd ammendment is an important part of the constitution.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
It's possible that this could happen, but the so called "gun culture" in the US is very strong. We just had the VT shooting, but it does not look like anymore restrictions will be put on guns. We might see psychological records and criminal records combined in a background check, but no more restrictions. In fact there have been arguments that we need guns on campuses.
As long as Americans keep their inteligence(what little they have) what you say won't happen
MajorFriend 4 years ago
That's the way it started in the UK, all reasonable little steps. First it was a licence you had to just buy from the post office, then police background checks, lists of weapons, limits on the type and quantity of weapons and ammunition. Then when they know where they all are they started to ban them each time there was an incident with a legal gun. Now all you can have in the UK is a shotgun with police approval and a rifle in very rare cases.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Which is why I am opposed to all such bans. The only ban I support is keeping guns away from felons and mentally insane, other than that I believe it should be open.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
the term "international terrorism" means activities that—
(A) involve violent acts or acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State, or that would be a criminal violation if committed within the jurisdiction of the United States or of any State;
MajorFriend 4 years ago
BTW if you'll notice I didn't insult, in fact I did the opposite saying that your brain and ant's brain are not the same thing.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
As for removal of civil liberities you lost big chunks of the bill of rights under the patriot act (Amendments 1, 4, 5, 6, 8). In the UK they tried to pass similar laws but didn't fare so well. Under USAPA2 you have even less rights.
Any US citizen can be declared an enemy combatant without proof or trail and held indefinatly and it has been used.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
You're wrong, I can still say w/e i want, write w/e i want, get together with my friends w/e i want, be w/e religion i want. My house and car and person cannot be searched without a warrant. If I was arrested there would be a trial within a reasonable amount of time and I would not have to face that trial twice and reasonable would be posted.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
Have you actually read the USA patriot act 1 and 2? That's exactly the rights they remove.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
I have not read them entirely, and am pretty confident that you haven't either. I have read them enough, and heard enough of opposition to it that I know it does not take away those rights.
You should actually go read them, instead of left-wing opinions of them.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
I have read them and I suspect you have not at all.
You should read them, rather than right-wing opinions of them.
The sad thing is I probably care more about your freedom and rights than you do.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Thanks to the second ammendment:
American citizens are not powerless, we do not have to rely simply on our government to protect us and on laws to keep our freedoms. Almost every American stands as a hedge against tyranny and taking away of rights. If what you say is true, I dare the FBI to start arresting innocent people of the street. Our government does not control us, we control our government.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
According to the FBI guide lines "defenders of the us constitution against federal government" are considered terrorists. Using a gun to defefend your country against it's government makes you a terrorist under 18 USCA 2331.
Anyway, that's for part 2, clinton (or some other puppet) will come to power, impose gun controls and dissarm the militias. Goodbye 2nd ammendment.
"If tyranny and oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy"
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Watch what happens if anyone tries to take our guns away. I'm sure you've heard the speech by the NRA guy "from my cold dead hands" Of course hopefully they haven't taken control of the Supreme Court and we can effect change just like MLK.
I just 18 USCA 2331 and that quote is incorrect. I will post the main section in another comment.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
One more thing, they dont seem to understand that radical islam is at war with the US. They want to treat it as a criminal problem, and not a war, which is interesting because Britian, France, Spain, Greece, Egypt, Saudia Arabia, Jordan, India and others have all done that and all have been attacked by terrorists since 9/11
MajorFriend 4 years ago
The attacks you mention are debatable as to who was responsible, and not space to do it here. But at the end of the day, yes they're sick and horrible but more people die on the roads every day, from AIDS or poverty. The appropriate reponse would be to find the criminals, not invade countries killing hundreds of thousands of them thousands of your own and in the process creating the hate that will inspire the next generation.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Actually less people die now in Iraq than did under Saddam. Yes, more people die from disease and accidents and yet the far left screams about all the death and destruction in Iraq. The difference is one is preventable, and we have prevented more deaths than we have caused, especially if we see the big picture 100 years down the road. That is if we finish what we started.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
No more people have died as a result of sanctions and war. 100 years down the road there will be no oil and no US (as we know it today).
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Sanctions were in place by Saddam's choice, he is the reason for those deaths.
As to wethere there will be oil or a US as we know it, I don't know, but I do know that I am going to fight for the US of freedom. As for oil, I could care less the world will go on no matter which way it goes.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
But your not fighting for freedom, your just accepting the states propoganda and forgeting all your american history lessons and what it took to found your country in the first place.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
Ask the Iraqis, the Afghani women, the families of the victims of 9/11, the Iranians, the moderate muslims if I am fighting for freedom.
MajorFriend 4 years ago
I think you will struggle to find many Iraqies, Afghans or Iranians who think the US has any interest in their freedom.
There are also plenty of families of victims of 11th september who have a different view.
mortalmerlin 4 years ago
I'm sure the civilians in Nazi Germany didn't want to believe what their government was doing either.
