  • i cant get enough of this song. its always playing in my head.

  • I'm just discovering their music and so far, i've loved everything i've heard. I just click on random videos and each damn time, my mind is blown. Amazing band.

  • Gods.

  • never thought killing joke done some post-heavy metal stuff =DD

  • rok dabla

  • @AndPlus your fucking high on nigger dick. this is the greatest shit ever done.

  • @AndPlus I agree it's not the best, but i dunno if it's the worst. It is damn difficult to decide the best and worst for this band though!

  • @thefraggenator I know what you mean. They have produced such a diverse catalogue of music that it's hard to easily compartmentalise (even if you're a fan!) whilst maintaining a consistent feel and energy. Truly unique band that raises the bar so high. I do think it's a shame though that some listeners to their latter day stuff think they are just a 'heavy' band.... KJ are powerful because of the content, not the sound

  • ha, satnmstr666, get a life matey, i would imagine you walk the streets of the US in your black dark clothing trying to look very Goth, another fashion victim, now run along and have a both, and comb that hair it looks awful, tut tut.

  • @birdynumnumski i come from the same town as this "goth" and can catagorically say it is people like you that corrupt the message and dilute the industry with your lady gagas. open your eyes!! stuff the US try clam fishing in NZ

  • This record was awesome, KJ at their heaviest and most brutal. One of the main things I like about this group is that they always have some point to make or something important to say

  • going to see them tonight YEAH MAN

  • Killing Joke are Killing Joke. End of.

  • They've just announced for Sonisphere. It's gonna rule.

  • best album of kj

  • which was first this ...or A mind is a terrible waste from ministry. Because one sounds like the other??

  • @timothyj67 A mind is a terrible thing to taste came before, but Ministry were heavily influenced by Killing Joke, like Al Jourgensen stated many times.

  • Oh, and by the way this is a fucking epic number - why wont they play it live???

  • Killing Joke are NOT, and never have been Heavy Metal. They are quite possible uncategorisable, as each a,bum has been totally dfifferent from its predecessor. They are a movement more than a mere rock band. The link to Heavy Metal is clearly based on Metallica citing them as an influence. Thats all well and good, but KJ are a completely different act to Metallica, and in my humble opinion of considerably greater signifcance in terms of their contribution to the form.

  • don't damn me when I speak piece of my mind......"GN'R .....use your illusion $ from the basements of Hell F.M.Dostoyevskij and Noordik Ragnarok Mythos A bout Hell-a

  • i love the sound of his voice

  • This music penetrates the body to the deepest parts of the soul. Killing Joke is more than a band. They are an experience, and idea, a way of seeing the world. This music should stir your innermost being. I quite simply love this song and video.

  • awesome Killing Joke rules!

  • awesome KJ ROCKS, JAZ IS Krazy Kool

  • nice one mate !, too true

  • best KILLING JOKE song

  • @AngelOfDeathVK thats what i said, but all these ignorant fucks say these guys invented heavy metal. i laugh at their fucking ignorance. this is their 1 good song, the rest is shitty ass 80's garbage that i cant stand listening too.

  • @satnmstr666

    You are a dumbfucking moron.

Millennium and Pandemonium are two great songs that come to mind as an argument against "their other stuff is 80's garbage"

If you like those songs I might not think you're a dumbfucking moron.

  • @satnmstr666 well feck off and listen to the music you like then mate, these are the most unnafected, egoless group of musicians that walked this planet, and i'm off to see them tonight, oh and what a pathetic monica you have, feckin satan, i laugh in your general dircetion, your mother was a hampster and your father smelt of elderberries, now go away before i taunt you a second time.

  • @birdynumnumski fuck you you english faggot(you put dicks in your ass and mouth kinda faggot, not a cig.)

  • @satnmstr666 LOL go on let out all that pent up racial and homophobic aggression. You'll be on the NWO red list bitch!

  • @AngelOfDeathVK War Dance…first album

  • Does Jaz remind anyone else of Genesis from Throbbing Gristle/Psychic TV?

  • @horseloverfatjr no, Jaz reminds me of Jaz ;)

  • clockwork morbid

  • @satnmstr666 go to a killing joke gig and come back again.., go fuck yourself

  • @Stubnix nigger

  • fuck the 8 who dislike this

  • fucking goood song !!!!!!!!!

  • what a shit

  • Lol. The Crow really let himself go.....

Band is music from the mind of an insane person. And that's how it should be.

  • this is there only good song. why cant the rest of there shit be this good.

  • @satnmstr666 how could you say such a thing? Killing Joke almost single-handedly invented what today we call heavy-metal... Jazz Coleman is GOD!

  • @kevnetti what the fuck are you smoking?!? these gals did not invent heavy metal. you ever heard of a band called black sabbath? the rest of their shit is just poppy garbage anyways.

  • @satnmstr666 Dude, of course sabbath is the "official" father of heavy metal and probably influenced killing joke since they're older, but think about it... listen to sabbath, and listen to joke, not this song cuz this is modern, but their early 80's stuff and you'll see how Coleman totally influenced modern metal, his vocals sound so much like the guys from Mastodon its not even funny

  • @satnmstr666 your a moron

  • @satnmstr666 KJ as original as Sabbath any day! And surpassed them 30 years ago. Purple blows Sabbath away by the way... as much as I like the one dimentional Sabs. Jaz said it all so well, he is an interesting artist. Burp!

  • @satnmstr666

you somehow manage to be one of the most ignorant cocks on youtube, you know fuck all, i have sent more intelligent things down the bog than you

  • I will see them the 6 december , I love them so much !!!

  • Happy Halloween! : )

  • It reminds me of the Vincent Price film, 'Theatre of Blood'....where he becomes a mad Shakesperian Actor in charge of a bunch of Murderous meth-drinking tramps.

  • Old homeless people moshing aboot to their leader, Svengoolie HAHA!

    Great song.

  • great song

  • Jaz looks like Jason Segel in this vid...

  • superb

  • fuckin amazing cant wait to c em in oct

  • Video is laughable, but jesus-tittyfucking-christ is this song powerful.

  • This video really sucks, and it makes me laugh. The song instead, as the whole album is just magnificent. Killing Joke sounds greater than ever in Hosannas From The Basement of Hell.

  • OMG! Still gr8!!!

  • FUCK YEAH!!!!!

  • TOTAL!!!

  • I'm starting to really enjoy KJ... But this video... Someone tell me if the facial expressions and spastic shaking is ferealz.

  • @rmhanzel Watch a few more Killing Joke videos. I'm sure you'll realize it's pretty legitimate, haha.

  • @juicyjesus 909 -well put! you are articulate AND erudite. Good Goddess you folks seem to take others' opinions way too seriously..... A) I LOVE this band always and forever; B)it IS a hilarious video C)don't we all have better $&*&(&%) to get worked up over?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @juicyjesus 909 -well put! you are articulate AND erudite

  • Boss!

  • That man got demons in his head...........thank god for that

  • who's marylin manson?

  • Only Jaz could wear corpsepaint without looking ridiculous

  • Comment removed

  • as someone who's listened to these guys for 25 yrs. or so- this is really really really sad. No. Really.

  • @Hecklah1 Having listened to KJ for the same amount of time I have found it important to keep a very open mind to their shifts in style. I made a big mistake of ignoring them for a time after hating on Outside the Gate. It took me a while to get into Hosannas but I now find it to be amongst their best work; I would suggest giving the album as a whole several listens before final judgment. I will admit that this video to the single is a little sad.

  • @onlywaytowinisnoplay good point- I've not given the album

a fair shake. I tend to give music 1 strike rather than 3 these days, and this

mostly made me think Ministry outtake. I mean, RECENT ministry outtake.... ha...

  • @Hecklah1 then maybe you need to keep an open mind considering music, most people with your attitude seem to hate music simply because of the change of sound. you find this sad but i find their 80's stuff after night time to be their weakest albums, to each his own when it comes to good bands

  • @hellchild65 A- I did not say I "hate" this. I find it weak precisely because it struck me as redundant. B- You as a total stranger have no

idea what i think about music. C. Maybe You Need to stop telling people what they need, child.

  • @Hecklah1 i need to stop telling people what they need, which is why i said "to each his own when it comes to good bands" read moron

  • @Hecklah1 dick

  • GO PSYCHO!!!!!!!!!!!! There's a documentary coming out about KJ, and Jimmy Page is interviewed in it, and in the trailer Jimmy Page says about Jaz: "Either he's playing with magic...., or magic is playing with him." The documentary is called The Death and Resurrection Show. The trailer is on YT and looks like it's going to be really good......

  • GO PSYCHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice job

  • It doesn't matter what genre Killing Joke is. All that matters is whether or not they make good music. And they make epic music.

  • @TheUnbreakableOtaku: Sure, that used to be their strength, but I can't avoid to say they *made* epic music.

This isn't no longer "epic" by any means. Sorry… :-(

  • Don't any of you realise Jaz Colman is now just taking the piss. He's acting out the role, people want to see him play. There's no longer any real fire in his belly, just lots of fattening food from the look of him. And has it escaped your notice that the man who sung "Money is not our god", allowed "The death & resurrection show" to be used for a video game by a massive corporation whose name I'd rather not mention! Btw, "Revelations" is THEE album.

  • @MisAnnThorpe: Above all, it's the first time Jaz and co. do an album *without any sense*. And this video is no exception.

The 2003 album was not entirely disappointing, but he is clearly not well. Plus, Geordie has lost a lot of his class.

"Revelations" is also one of my favorites, but as a whole I consider "Democracy" (and the "parallel" release of "Idavoll") a great album.

    I'm very sorry for them… :-(

  • @tht707 What is "Idavoll"? I've never heard of it.

  • @MisAnnThorpe: Hi Ann. "Idavoll - Fanfare for the New Millennium" is a release from Jaz Coleman directing the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. It is listed on Discogs, if you do a search, but not naming Coleman.

It has been released in 1996, the same year of "Democracy", and although it has been years in the work, the themes are complementary.

Anyway, both records full of tension, but also of Hope, and with a truly sincere content. Not like this, this is a mess.

  • @tht707 Thanks for info. I've just checked Coleman's biography & had no idea just how many classical recordings he's made & how successful they've been. Outside of Killing Joke, I only knew of his work with Anne Dudley and his orchestral versions of The Doors songs. I was also unaware that he was a skilled violinist and the thought of Jaz singing in a choir is just hilarious! How did he end up with such an ugly singing voice? I personally didn't greatly rate "Democracy", preferred "Extremities".

  • @MisAnnThorpe: I understand what you mean: musically speaking Democracy is a less powerful album, but I value the overall content, not just the music. It has weak tracks ("Prozac People") but it captures the moment in a way a lot more convincing than "Extremities". The sound on "Extremities" is too heavy for me, but I do love some songs.

About the voice: in "Brighter" he makes a wonderful use of his, the growls came with "Pandemonium", as he quoted trash metal.

    Now it's really bad… :-(

  • good tunage!!!!!!!

  • I've seen KJ five times, starting from the eighties. But they are getting better every year. BRILLIANT!!

  • Killing Joke rules still...over 30 years

  • good...very good....i like it!!

  • their worst video ever, pure trap, shame!

  • GO PSYCHOOOOOOOOOO

  • Why ?

  • Ask yourself, you are the one that has that number in your nickname.

  • Jaz sei grande .e anche il video è

    malefico al punto giusto.

  • God, imagine how dull life would be if Jaz was sane...

  • @Sesquipedaliantique exactly. Why do people even think about it, we love this because...

  • So true...

  • ITT : faggots

  • this whole album just destroys.

  • @elmiguelo 100% correct!!!!

  • @elmiguelo

    truth

  • wow dope fucking song. Cool video too.

  • it IS a bit cheesy but still better than any other new video from other bands of that era. and it's still on a level where i say: ok it's KJ, they always overacted it a bit

  • this video is amazing, the song as well

  • My god! this is a brutal video, totally impressive, true basement of hell.

What takes a person to deal with these kind of dark forces?

  • the way they perform are like true gods of this genre.

  • This is KJ Rock it doesn't matter which-play it always loud!

  • this is incredible! I can't believe I never listened to this band before today and I've known of them for years :'(

  • @krustster I saw this group in 1981 and they were good then too !!!!!

  • They are not a rock metal band , That is so far from a good description, Punk Trance electronic Industrial crossover - Far closer To Trance music than metaal any day

  • That genre thing goes a bit too complicated with this band.

  • ahh, thank you KJ, you scratched my itch.

  • dont mess with gods !!

  • if you ever try to make a KJ tribute band i hope you will burn in hell

  • strip naked, drink and take drugs, burn your possesions, laugh at yourself and live! then you might get the JOKE!

  • @878commando just to say, vocalist with Chorus of Ruin and Purity Cries, we look to the gods!

  • Geordy on guitar...if you ever try to form a K.J tribute band and want that sound..well...fucking good luck to you :-)

  • Wow, that's an awesome guitar sound.

  • He is white paint faces ozzy Osborne. XD

  • I am STILL trying to find this CD...Killing Joke will always be one of the greatest.
