I wish they make a movie for this game, wouldn't it be cool? I passed all 18 chapters and know the ending. by the way, I could help anyone who is stuck on a chapter.
in the mansion, before the staircase, you will see four giant pillars reaching the ceiling. you will see a button on each one. each one turns the light on a certain number of times, from one to four, and they turn off again. so push the buttons in order of the times they turn on the light from one to four, and the light will turn on, then you will need to make stairs for her to climb, by pushing more buttons on pillars, which you will be able to do on your own. if u need anymore help, tell me.
in front of you, on the bottom shelf, you will see a big vase in the middle of the books. click on it and it will disappear, click on the empty space it was in, and a wall will light up in blue. get close to the wall, and attach the cards to the wall in the right spots. they symbols on each card will light up in red if it is wrong, and blue if it is right. put all the symbols on the wall so they can be blue, and the wall will turn into a way out. good luck, and ask again if you misunderstood me.
i played a free trial of this on my mom's new laptop, and nearly all the free trial games had two free sessions. this game had one, which is something i didn't know when i exited the game in order to take a break. i was on the last part and just had to solve the four puzzles. which i got halfway through before stopping....*tear*

Put the book Past Present &Future in the Nostrapakus section, and return all the books to their sections, and when you're done, remember that magic book that was there when you first entered the library? It will appear somewhere in the bookshelves, and it is shiny, so click it and put it on the floor when you find it, open it by clicking again, and put the crystal inside it, and you'll charge it. You should play the second one, it is harder. The harder the better, right? So three is the hardest, so it's my favorite, I love it when a Dream Chronicles game is long. If it's over, then it's not fun anymore. Anyway, you should play 2 and 3. They're awesome.
It's a really excellent game, great graphics, puzzles and music. Doesn't give you any hints after you uncover what they think is sufficient, though, so you might get stuck--like me. For a while, anyway. It's worth it!

Nostrapakus belongs to Math. The crystal needs to be put inside the book. After the book vanishes, it needs to bet put inside the crystal ball.
