Ii am honduran,, i have family involved in the planning of the coup,, this was planned within a year or so, the consult was going to affect the powerfull groups of Honduras, the ones that have been controlling the country, the coup was planned before that, because of Presidents socialists reforms,, then him being close to Chavez was a perfect excuse to throw a massive campaign,, there are bigger reasons for this.. In Honduras if you rebel the powerfull groups you are dead.

Zelaya was not a dictator, he was elected by the people, first,, and being socialist is not prohibited in Honduras laws (communism dissapeared in 1992), maybe that is your idea of peace... very cruel by the way. For democracy? you call a democracy where senators decide not the people?, in a democracy the people have the right to protest, without beign repressed, have the right to move around the country with no limitation. Journalist to talk withut being kidnapped or radios shut down.

It was not a coup d'etat that occurred in Honduras, they have to give the chancellor the opportunity to demonstrate that everything was done under the law and the evidence is overwhelming.
