Holy shit, I'm sure you've heard it a million times before, but those links are so big its not only just unprotective, its down right ugly too. Was it your first chainmail project? Because I could understand how bigger rings means more coverage and faster completion time, but I'm sure you could have dropped the diameter of the rings just a tad bit

I make rings of 1 cm i diameter from 2 mm wire.

To the people commenting about chainmail stopping an arrow... Hahahahah. No chainmail -really- could stop an arrow. That's why they stopped making it!

Those are gigantic loops :P If you tried to use that in combat you'd take an inch or so of stab from most thrusting weapons. An epee would likely go right through it.

But excellent work, it takes a lot of devotion and talent to make chain mail!

what diameter are u usin 4 the rings, cause that looks like shit. it wouldnt stop anything wether it is a spear, sword, arrow, knife, spitball, u name it

@zenku41 Those links seem a little... scratch that... They seem WAY to big for the weave you have used. Your weave is european 4 in 1 which is the least dense of the european weaves. Combining it with such large links makes it look even less dense. Had you gone with smaller links or a more dense weave I think it would have come out looking much better.
