For once, Michael is doing a wonderful job, for all the right reasons. After staying in another country for a while, you see that a real UHC system is simply all that we need to fix our current broken insurance system. Get rid of private insurance, they don't help people's lives.

Yes, we need a universal health care system where everyone waits a week after signing in just to receive treatment and women with breast cancer along with the elderly are barred from the hospitals and clinics just like in the UK.

You have a very twisted idea of what a health care system should be.

We basically just need to block out the insurance company's "right" to have any say in medical procedures, and somehow keep them from denying claims. If that means kicking out the private companies here, so be it. But there are plenty of ways we can make the system work, socialized system or not. Right now, what we have in this country, is a failure of a system, cruel to all involved.

Everyone: I just wrote a letter to my congressman, urging him to improve our health system, and I haven't lived in the US for 4 years (though still a US citizen). If I can do something, so can you.
