allright i did it, it went pretty good, but where did you get your seat made everyone in vegas says they dont do it, i threw together a ghetto one for now
@NVCCWHUSSER good job i saw your vid, about the seat i did a cardboard mock up first then i went with a thin gauge metal sheet to do the plate after that i took it to an upholsterer to get it covered and add some foam underneath, im 90% on mine ill shoot a vid tomorrow and post it i hope i can ride it on thursday :-) regards.
thanks, i think im going try this in about a month on my 2002 f4i, ive allready chopped 12" out of the exhast, just need the cash for the tail fairing in thinkin ill bend some sheet metal to use as belly pan/ short side fairing.
thanks for the info...i always love to see different ideas on bikes.
@NVCCWHUSSER around 12 inches and some re design to fit the remaining tubes inside the new tail, im building another one similar but with 06 R1 suspension front and rear and i hope i can finish it in the next week, yes you have in mind what you wanna do and then once you start one thing follow another, you can draw and do plans on a paper but some times is more complicated as most of us are not enginners so pretty much what ever fits can go, dont forget the common sense, is very helpfull.
@NVCCWHUSSER this bike is not longer in my posession i sold it almost a year ago and the current owner replaced the front headlight with one of those moose racing alien looking ones and the f4i gauges for one of those universal trail tech vapor digital ones i did the job, he wreck the bike and broke a lot of stuff on it so right now the bike is all flat black with the same tail but no side fairings and diferent front fairing and headlight so ill say diferent.
get rid of the kid screamin so we can hear you and itd be a great vision...
that front fairing idea is awesome it looks super street fighter, the tail, the tail, the tail...makes me want to sell my nice bike and get one to just go nuts on-or maybe when i crash this learnin to stunt...its a super custom lookin tail-awesome that all you had to was cut subframe-seat looks supermoto-awesome job with her
check on the forums if theres a write up for the wires on the conversion you wanna make i found on CBRForum.com the one for mine and it work almost everything exept the temperature also you can find which wires to use by checking the wiring diagrams on both bikes the 2000 and 2005
This bike is too sick! I wish other people had the same vision as you when they try to build street fighters. I seen one where the front end was right, but the back end still had the long tail on the back with the passenger seat, that was super ugly, but yours is beautiful, and its how a street fighter should look. Great job!
@vettenjazzlover SISI TE ENTIENDO, PERO ENTIENDO TAMBIEN QUE HAY GENTE CON OTROS CRITERIOS Y CONCEPTOS MAL FORMADOS DE "BELLEZA"...Y CREO TAMBIEN QUE SI LOS JAPONESES DISEÑARON ESA MOTO COMO ERA, POR ALGO FUE NO?? DIGO...
To me you solved the most dramatic of the creation of a street fighter. For there are many with tails horrible. But not like the front at some angles can not find beautiful, not all. But overall ok, used mostly the same. Why does lack a little care in fittings and finishes. But it's pretty cool. who am I to say? I love the style versions rat or a survivor! lol .... Congratulations! Oh, and the next video, without small children, please!
man great job turning an older bike into something this hot! i've got an 06 600rr that i'm makin into a street fighter. love the way you made use of the tail fairing!
is it possible for you to breifly explain how you made the custom seat....im trying to create a similar one forming sheet metal with padding. How did you creat yours looks good.
use hars paper or cardboard and scisors to create the shape of the seat including where you goin to bend, i sold this bike so i cant take pics of the bottom of the seat but im building another similar when i get to the seat part i'll take some of the process.
if you have an F2 besides the gauges you will need the sprocket cover from a 95-97 CBR900RR with the sensor on it, and a Speedohealer V4 to show the right speed, also the thermo sensor from a 98-99 CBR900RR so you can see the temp on the digital display, without it will read cero but the fan still kicks on cause theres a thermo swich on the radiator, the rest is wiring some people cut and use bullet connectors i change the position of pins on the original plugs.
hey thanks guys, you know i spent about two weekends working on this bike from being on the floor without suspension and wheels (because it come from a crash) to the way it looks right now, the gauge swap only took two hours and i didn't cut any wires just changed the position of the pins because the connector plugs are almost the same in the F2 and the F4i gauges, (the F3 connnector plugs is diferent and for those you have to cut the plugs and splice the wires)
allright i did it, it went pretty good, but where did you get your seat made everyone in vegas says they dont do it, i threw together a ghetto one for now

how much subframe did u cut out and how do you make all these different years work, is it just a matter of being creative?

Saludos.
