The Pilot Parallel is perhaps my favourite calligraphy pen (mine is also 6.0mm). The only downside is that the 6.0mm nib sure uses up a lot of paper. ;) I also fill mine as an eyedropper, but I'm kind of concerned about the little covered up hole at the end of the blind cap - it looks like it can be punctured easily. I'm not about to find out, though!
Thanks for the video - I'm slowly making way through the rest of your videos, so expect more comments! :)
@mkglobetrotter Yes, these are nice calligraphy pens: I do think that a good dip nib allows for sharper lines (e.g. when doing gothic script), but the Parallels are still great!
@askk1996 Good question: NO! Careful when trying this: if there's metal on the inside of the pen barrel, the ink may cause rust on the inside of the barrel! Also, there may be little rings or things like that on the barrel, through which ink may leak out. Nevertheless, there are quite some pens on which you can try this: as long as they have a plastic barrel (Platinum Preppy, Pilot 78G, etc.). I'll soon upload a video in which I show the eyedropper conversion process in more detail.
I don't convert my pens to eyedroppers, because I prefer changing inks frequently, I have a nice number of beautiful inks here at my disposal and I wouldn't want them feel unloved ;)
@arguan There is one solution to the switching of inks problem: get more parallels and convert them all to eyedroppers - I'm sure the Goulet Pen Company won't mind if you buy more pens from them ;-).

@sbrebrown I was thinking more of my vector which has a plastic barrel

@askk1996 Might work, but doesn't it have a metal blind cap (at the non-nib end of the barrel)? And is the grip section metal?

@sbrebrown oh! yes

Hey, Brian, thanks for this video. Very clear instructions. Good to see how the entire pen can be taken apart too.

@arguan Thanks for the shoutout! Which do you prefer, to refill cartridges or use a converter in your parallels?

@TheInkNouveau Hi Brian, I simply refill the cartridges, that is absolutely no hassle for me.
Waiting for a report on the DC pen show :)
