Ed has his magnets in the REPEL mode they were stacked that way to maximize the "B" going into the earth. Your magnet at the bottom totally destroys his concept. Also you can take two magnets in the repel mode and tap on a granite rock and it will loose weight, FACT..
eds wheel had cement around the magnets, im assuming because of the silicates and ive heard of people putting different elements or compounds in the center of the wheel though he wouldnt really go into detail
Notice that Leedskalnin also had a cloverleaf that crossed over the bend of the v-magnets. I believe there was some significance there and they may have been magnetized (or charged PMH-style) to isolate a specific part of the field. Just a suggestion.
Very cool Jack :-) I'd like to build a Leedskalnin magnetic "ring" with repelling SN-NS-SN neo-magnets in it. Then build 4 Rodin coils with the magnetic ring through the centers . A sort of gyroscopic AC motor. Cant wait to see your results.
Just to note, the original Leedskalnin's flywheel had 3 points where North/South poles was not detected and instead of magnet rotor there was his PMH (perpetual motion holder) placed horizontally. Hope that will help with making self running magnet wheel.. :)
@T1000LTU Please send more info on these things, I have not heard of the 3 point null areas or using the PMH with the wheel. jack.scholze at gmail.com thanks
Very nice build Jack! Do you get it to lock and hold nicely? The stator magnet's efffect is supposed to vastly change or even fall away altogether I believe. Good luck with your experiments!
@Cloxxki I've read a few things, but dont know what you are asking about here, please send more info, and clarified question to me, and I'll ry to answer. jack.scholze at gmail.com Ed's original wheel used 5 layers of 24 V-type magnets, the kind used in the Model T ford. The Ford only used 16 of them, and they were not mounted like Ed's setup at all. What is the odd stuff in the middle of Ed's wheel? I have no clue. Curious
@jackscholze I've read from similar replications, that once the 24 parts are magnetically locked together (energized to lock, then holding together indefinitely after power is disconnected), the setup will appear to have fewer than 24 sets of poles. Rather 4 or so I believe. The magnetical lock cloaks the individual poles, makes the PMH one unit.
Pretty cool.

:-) You forgot, the central four horseshoe magnets in the middle and I have more ideas what to do with that

You should try playing different levels of frequencies to it playing with, with a cup of water on top....saw it in a dream

Or should I say , "Hoverock-tech" Hawaiian style.
The floating stone home spinner looks like a winner :)

@T1000LTU Yes I am grokking relevance of Ed's bolts and flanges, 5 layers of magnets, and magic chains. thanks

Looking grate jack! I'm loving the Levi Bering!
Can't wait to see you move your apartment around town! Then you can come visit some time! :)
God bless jack! And be safe!

your turning the magnet too much jack. find the sweet spot then mark 10 degrees each side.

@g11690102 Have not heard of this type of sweet spot, please send info when you have time, to my email
