Great man of God...Those who wish to slander him, it is abundantly clear that two things are clear...They are either clueless of just what a relationship with Jesus Christ consists of, and secondly, they are grieving the Spirit of God...David not only preached the Word of God with great clarity, but he knew the Lord...We are not to slander our brothers and sisters in the Lord, for 3 fingers will be pointing directly at us....
Brother David had just had enough. So much death and illness around him, and obviously so much deep depression that he was in. So many years of prophecies that didn't come true. He was probably disappointed that the world had not yet ended as he hoped it would. I almost can't blame him for plowing his car head-on into an oncoming truck. He probably never guessed that his wife would somehow survive it, though.
@lastdaysguitar Looks like I touched a raw nerve for you there. David Wilkerson was seriously mentally ill. One need only read his blog posts or listen to his wacked-out prophecies (that didn't come true, BTW), or to talk to survivors of his cult camps out in East Texas to know that he was a kook.
I invite you, for God's Glory, to go to: theabalonekid dotcom (website), and experience "The Gospel Of Jesus Christ Revival" and be blessed by David Wilkerson's ministry of evangelism and teaching . His contribution to the Revival has inspired brethren in more then 180 countries/nations in their walk in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, who IS coming. Maranatha. "Come Lord Jesus".
