He _speaks_ English too. His vocabulary is about 30 words. He doesn't have a syntax though - but verbs and nouns he's got down pat. All food is "toast". The one abstract word he's worked out for himself is "where's".
It's pretty funny being woken up in the morning by a pet who knows it's owner's names, and uses them. He knows his own name too - he's heard it a million times but he doesn't use it.
Funny story about the Spin... originally, we stood in front of him spinning around on our feet. He nearly got it - but Deb was "spotting" (where you look at only one point and then quickly turn your head to follow your body, like ice skaters) - so he started just spinning his head! Heh heh. The Monkey will always put his own spin on things.
He needs musical inspiration!
