  • Love the T-shirt Jon, And I will see The BOSS and The E street band at Hyde park/London In July, QUANTUM LEAP is a Legendary show and I'd rather they didn't mess with it .

  • When is this movie supposedly coming out

  • i owned the entire season

  • BTTF all the fucking way!

  • I used to watch a tv show back in the 60's called Time Tunnel. I would have to say Back to the Future and Quantum Leap are my all time favorites. Looking forward to the movie.

  • @jon I thought quantum had to do with probability, not time. I watch nova (Fabric of the cosmos to be exact) and they were talking about the supposed "quantum world" where everything is left to chance. They didn't say anything about time.

  • I am with you all the way on this one. The time excelerater has got to be on the money as well as Gijit, with time travil therys out the wazoo.

  • If you watch SOURCE CODE watch it with the trivia track....You'll learn about other TIME TRAVEL Movies and T.V. series such as Quautum Leap,HighLander,Time after Time,TimeBandits,TimeRider and about 30 plus other movies and t.v. shows and series!!!

  • has the movie came out yet ?

  • This guy is a badass.

  • Hey there! Have you thought about cleverous 402 diet (do a search on google)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my friend lost crazy amounts of weight with it.

  • @zenith99819981 Fuck off we are here to talk about Quantum Leap.

  • doctor who and back to the future by far the rest are ok but not good

  • Doctor Who is th greatess time travleing based TV show ever.

  • Up n till that point he was not willing or more like did not know he was choosing to leap...but several episodes he got to go home...so in a subconscious way he was leaping himself!

  • @neohemp

I always thought that at the end of the final episode the bartender enlightens Sam that he is the one with the power to leap himself home. Sam, out of his friendship to Al and regret for not saving his marriage to Beth before, decides to leap back and put that right in the knowledge that he is sacrificing his leap home as the moment he leaps again the "Swiss cheese" memory will make him forget he has the power to control his own destiny. True pal eh?

    Just my thoughts anyway!

  • I Quantum Leap everytime I go to sleep, is that normal?

  • In the source code movie he was only able to leap into 1 persons body and back to his own repeatedly .. but it did have the same concept of putting right what went wrong they definately took inspiration from the quatum leap series for the source code movie..... I hope the quantum leap movie does it justice i hear it`s the same writer of the show who is doing the script for the movie and Sam Beckett and AL will be making cameo appearances in the movie.

  • ok u fycking idetits out there think this is cool revamp a classic series that holds memories for me and my dad. People make shows, not the shows themselves.

  • I liked Quantum Leap a lot, , found it quite good, seen every episode a few times. Hopefully it will be good, seems writers can't think of new ideas and seem to remake old movies or tv shows into prequels or squeals instead of making good new movies. However, if this is good as the original series was, then I am all for it.

My fav time travel TV/movies are in order: Back to the future, Quantum Leap and Early Edition, but Early Edition was cancelled before its time IMO.

  • Movie would be BTTF (All, but if I HAD to choose a fav it would be part 3) and show, If you can call it time travel (cuz they do in some eps) would be Futurama. I have seen some QL, but not enough to say I love it. Tho what I DID see, I liked

  • Is this still coming out i mean it been almost a yr already

  • Back to the Future is my all time favourite. With Quantum leap coming second also! I'd have to give a good mention to the U.K (original) version of Life on Mars. Sorry, no offence meant, but the American version just isn't as good as the original version we have over here. Well worth a viewing if you've not seen it!

  • I've always thought Hugh Jackman would make a good Sam Beckett...

  • they will ruin it... especially if scott bakula and dean stockwell int in it

  • back to the future and quantum leap

  • Doctor Who for TV and Back to the future for Movie

  • I think this would be cool to do. But for them to go forword. They need to bring Sam home. The thing that sucked about the ending was Sam never came home. How I would write to movie would be.Bring in new cartores and have Sam and Al in it to pass it off the the new carters. Scott Bakula is sam give Sam the right ending

  • @KirbbDogg He never went home because he didn't want to. He always had control on whether or not he went home, but without him things wouldn't be put right, and he was needed, so he kept leaping.

  • @neohemp

    I know but I

m saying that's how it should have ended with Sam comming home

  • time tunnel

  • @lukearnoldtv that show is so boring

  • I Have Netflix

  • Quantum Leap and Journeyman for TV shows

Back to the Future II for movies

  • awesome, i've gotta say my favourite timetravel programs would be Quantum Leap and Back to the Future...... i hope they don't butcher Quantum Leap with this new 'film'

  • Um yeah, it's called Source Code.

  • @gbutiri - What is called "Source Code"? We're talking about the Quantum Leap movie here...

  • @Jon I guess what he meant was that Source Code is what is closest to Quantum Leap in a movie format. The film pays homage to the show and even have a cameo of Scott Bakula who says "Oh Boy!".

  • Scott has Parkinson's. Don't think he can do a whole movie. However PLEASE pick up where it left off & RESCUE him! His shaking could even be written in as side effect of decades of leaping. Source Code has similar plot. Man sent to change 1 thing. Realizes can contact Dad who is played on phone by Scott! So they "hung a lantern on it" they took plot from QL! Black Character may be militarized, fictional version of real time machine inventor, Ron Mallet. Yes! Real! Discovery video here on it.

  • @OmegaSeekerr What are you talking about? Scott Bakula doesn't have Parkinson's. The one you're probably thinking of, is Michael J Fox.

  • What are you talking about? There's NOTHING on IMDB about a Quantum leap movie.

    DISAPPOINT.

  • @REDBULLHEADiphone - That doesn't make what I said incorrect...

    / seriously now.

  • @Jon OK, well I see all these blog posts from August 2010 but there's nothing current. Even the flimsiest of ideas get an IMDB page. Don't they?

  • @Jon Also, sorry if I sounded abrupt.

  • @Jon I HAVE THE WHOLE FRIGGING SERIES!!! my dad and i love that show and i cant wait to tell him about the movie.

  • DR WHO DR WHO DR WHO DR WHO DR WHO

  • My favourite time travel movie currently stands as Hot Tub Time Machine and my favourite time travel tv series are Doctor Who and Quantum Leap

  • i want the original stars. no scott, no dean, no watch

  • Good thing Sam wasn't evil, otherwise the show would be Quantum Leap: Ultimate Sex Offender. I'd like to see Chris Hansen catch that character. By the way, Al only travels in time once, when he trades places with Sam after the mental hospital freak event. Usually, Al is just viewing it from the 1999 imaging chamber. Just thought I'd be a dick.

  • fake

  • Terminator and Back to the future for me

  • Doctor Who and Back to the Future

  • doctor who and quantum leap ...........

  • The movie he's talking about is source code

  • @aandgpointlessvideos - No, I'm talking about Quantum Leap.

  • @Jon In the movie source code they do some references to quantum leap, so i thought it could've been that

  • is there still any word on this? i kind of want to see it.

  • @quickpickandthick its called source code

  • thanks to all the contributions from green screen and George Lucas company lucas arts and of course the matrix all bringing in awesome breakthroughs in special effects the quantum leap should be awesome...but I HATE that Scott and Dean wont be in it, as for my favorite movie or series...quantum leap when it comes to time travel it rocks, I grew up watching the show and reading the books, lol thanks to Quauntum leap and star trek I had a college reading level by the time I hit 5th grade

  • I just worry they won't close the story the way they closed the series - I cryed

  • As long as Belisarius is writing it, it will not fail.

  • For movies : Back to the Future series, Terminator Series. For TV PQL. The last ep of the series I think is misunderstood as if you have ever seen it has Al's Uncle as a leaper when Sam goes back to the date of his birth. Al 's Uncle has Sam help him and when Al's Uncle leaps home and Sam asks Al about his Uncle it is as if his Uncle never leaped at all. So if and when Sam ever goes home the same would happen to Sam. I'm guessing based on the last ep. Like it never happened.

  • Doctor who for tv and back to the future for movie

  • hmnmm in terms of tv doctor who!!!! movie bttf of course

  • Saw Source Code. Well! Its Quantum Leap military style. Can't blame them for wanting to stop a dirty bomb from going up in Chicago! They had the human decency to make Scott Bakula by voice acting the father our confused, regretful time traveler borrows a phone & makes peace with. I'm thinking Quantum Leap! Oh you SO borrowed this heart tugging bit of business! (Not that I minded a bit) but then saw the credits. "They'd hung a lantern on it."(acknowledged their "steal") by giving Scott that part.

  • is there any more news on the quantum leap movie since you done this vlog,i did not no there was going to be one,can not wait.i love time travel to,love quantum leap and dr who, back to the futere is brill.i like the film somewhere in time, the finel countdown.i have all the quantum leap on dvd,it was the best show ever.what did you think of the ending to quantum leap,i thought they cant leave it like this.

  • My Dad seemed to be disappointed that you didn't mention, "TimeTunnel." He said that he liked that better than, "that British Show(Dr.Who)," three times in less than a minute. (giggles)

I was on our Wii because we've been watching QuantumLeap on Netflix and I decided that since the final episode wasn't available through streaming that I'd check YouTube on the Wii Internet. One thing led to another and... well I switched on your video out of curiosity. Anyway, mine's definitely Back to the Future

  • @JustWriter Actually... it's a close call between Back to the Future and SyFy'sEUReKA. So far time travel has occurred in Eureka, Oregon at least 8 times; in the pilot when things were time traveled apart (strange I know), in the season one finale it's mentioned that Henry used the piece of the artifact to send his memories back and Jack did the same at the end as well as that guy who can't leave his home without de-aging, and then there was the GroundhogDayEpisode that restarted 3times at least

  • @JustWriter continuing: , and then in 4x01 with Einstein's and Grant's Bridge Device, and then finally in 4x09 "I'll Be Seeing You." Have you seen EUReKA, or by the UKtitle, "aTownCalledEUReKA," If you haven't I highly recommend it. The usual genre include action/adventure, romance, humor, family, science fiction, and sometimes horror.

  • @JustWriter EUReKA is my favorite show and BttF is my favorite movie trilogy, but I also really enjoy the original BattlestarGalactica and every StarTrek that isn't a cartoon, as well as all of the Star Wars movies, not forgetting either GalaxyQuest or SpaceBalls or even BuzzLightyearOfStarCommand(dimensional travel). I was always disappointed that after including those additional characters from Woody's Roundup in ToyStory2 that they didn't include Mira, XR, and Booster in the third movie. -jw

  • @JustWriter "Time Machine" is a great movie as well and I've really been wanting to see "The Timetraveler's Wife;" is it good? In HEROESs1&2 I absolutely love the character Nakamura, Hiro. Time travel is a similar concept in writing stories to alternate universes; it basically asks the writers, "What circumstances would change if we did that in the past?" That's why I love fanfiction; most of the stories online follow this concept. Sorry for taking up so much space on your comments, -jw`chan ^-^

  • @JustWriter I can top it all! Right here at Youtube in their own search box type in the words The Real Time Machine and see what that gets you!

  • Hello; I'm the Doctor.... Basically... run. (Eee~ 18 days till the new series)

  • My two favorite are back to the future and terminator 2

  • I would have to say Quantum Leap and BTTF are my faves too followed by Doctor Who and Terminator which I have watched so many times I can't count.....

  • The WHO man ftw

  • Quantum Leap and Doctor Who FTW!!!!! XD

  • I see one person mentioned The Terminator, which warrants mention, as does Bill and Ted or Austen Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me. But yeah BTTF and Quantum Leap would be at the top of my list as well. Leap might edge out BTTF because part III could have focused on the Baines side of Marty's family and given a more logical reason for Lea Thompson to be there.

  • dude i was a very loyal quantum leap fan, i stayed up with my mother every week just to watch my favorite show, you know i even used to identify myself to al, i would hold a toy cigar in my hand just like al did and i would beg my mom to use her calculator, and i would sit there and push the buttons with the cigar with my right hand, i love it. anyways thanks to tom belisario for bringing this legendary iconic film back to the big screen.

  • The Terminator FTW!!!!

  • I dont think anyone will think of this but, terminator is technically a time travel movie. i guess. bttf is the best though

  • Don't forget Dale Midkiff in Time Traxx.

  • michael imperioli

  • I have only this to say...they will be hard pressed to find another actor of Scott Backula's caliber that can sincerely bring the depth of goodness, humanity, intelligence, charm, and innocence to the character, Sam, that he did. I don't think I've ever seen a marriage of an actor and his character that was so flawless as that one. It's my opinion that Backula WAS Sam, and that will be virtually impossible to duplicate.

  • David Tennant's Dr. Who

  • p.s...i almost forgot, i didn't ever much like Doctor Who, it just seemed naff and a bit embarrassing over the top. I shouldn't be saying it, as i'm british, but that's how i feel. I vaguely remember Sliders, being on after QL finished, and kind of liking it. Dunno what happened to that show, haven't seen it for years. Back to the future was cool. I'd love to see a QL crossover with either House or Ghostbusters. The comedy material would have to be top notch, and also have a bit of drama!

  • I was a disappointed to hear that the QL movie is not going to have scott and dean reprising their old characters. It brought a bit of excitement when i saw them both together on the screen, on one of the Enterprise episodes, if only Scott had been allowed to sneak in a 'oh boy' for us fans!. So, to me, it looks like dean and scott were still working when the Enterprise series was released. So, why not have them one more time, in the film. An bring Sam Beckett home, bring it full circle.

  • i got really excited when u said there is gonna be a quantum leap movie.. but when u said dean and scott arnt gonna star in it i was like damn!! it wont be the same...... i hate it when main characters r changed :(

  • i like doctor who and love quantum leap... even getting kids in to watching it :) they love it too now.. i watch it on uk tv channels :D

  • either back to the future or DR who.

  • Quantum Leap was my favorite TV show of all time but I'm a little hesitant about the upcoming movie.

  • What the hell is Bellisario thinking, not having Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell Reprise their roles..Some complete douche bag young actors of today playing this movie is going to be insulting..Trying to get a young female fan base im sure..FUCK HOLLYWOOD..Quantum Leap is the best show ever created and when you find out something like this, it is like a death in the family..

  • I liked the most recent "TIME MACHINE" movie with Guy Pierce, although the original movie was great if you can deal with the ancient technology and it was a british made film.

  • why should quantum leap be a movie. it lasts for about an hour and movies last for 2 hours how will they manage to fit in lots of leaps? and why the hell make it with out sam and al. legendary team. i don't want to watch it.

  • i totally agree i love that show its my fav but come on quantum leap without scott and dean :( I loved AL and used to say I'd marry Sam when I got older lol.... :) thnaks for the info

  • this.... movie... will STINK!!.

  • I Love time travel movies and movies

    about parallel world

and vampire movies i just wish

there where a whole lot more movies

that have to do with time travel

    parallel world and vampires...

  • @crafty2214 How about a movie about a time travelling vampire from a parallel world? How many times would you go to pay to see that?

  • Scott Bakula did a good job as Captain Jonathan Archer.

  • If they DON'T bring "Sam" back home at the end..........I WILL be pissed off!!!!

  • That is shit, why take such a good show and make it into a movie but not have the orriginal two cast members (Scott Bakula & Dean Stockwell)

I supose they will be using some idiots that aren't right for the parts like that Zac Efron bloke. At least it will save me the money not having to drive to the movies and then again not having to watch it ! See every cloud DOES have a silver lining ! lol

  • If Scott and Dean are not the starring roll then screw that.I'll not be watching the film.

  • If Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell are not in the movie as the lead role then I will not be watching this movie. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Quantum Leap too. This is bitter sweet news. I love the show for the concept but also for the stars in the show. I hope they reconisider not having them play their lead roles.

  • I love "Quantum Leap," and when I learned they're going to make a full-length movie I got psyched, still am. I just hope they cast the right actors, maybe a couple of unknowns. Although, from watching the show, the actor they got to play young Al (Jamie Walters) in "A Leap for Lisa," looks uncannily like Dean. Maybe Jamie could play Al in the movie? Peace, over and out!

  • i am firmly convinced donald p. bellisario is a doctor who fan. quantum leap is superloaded with heavy doctor who influences. for ex. the imaging chamber door and the tardis are about the same size. hand link and sonic screwdriver have many similarities as well. yep, i am certain bellisario is a fan of dr. who.

  • I was 7 years old when the series first aired in 1989. It wasn't until 1996 when I saw the show for the first time on the USA network. To my surprise I later learned from my mother that I was watching reruns because the show went off the air in 1993. I had the pleasure of watching the complete series this year on Netflix streaming instantly to my TV.

  • It is an amazing Sci-Fi Trip in the world Of Time Travel. If you love The Back to the Future Trilogy then you will love Quantum Leap. ”Putting Right the things that Once went Wrong”!!! How can you not Love that!!! The movies and Shows Today are missing that 80′s sparkle and flair. Action,(minus the unnecessary violence)Good Actors, A positive message, and A good story line is all that is needed for a good successful Series and Movie.

  • The World needs Project Quantum Leap so please bring it back someway somehow. In my opinion, Lost is the only television series that came close to the Brilliance that is Quantum Leap. There is just absolutely nothing good on Television anymore. If video killed the Radio Star, Reality TV. will eventually Kill Us All.

  • LOST

  • Doctor who is awesome.

  • @MisterKillMan We all know, and Back to the Future, Quantum Leap and Doctor Who are all my favourites!

  • Quantum Leap Rapes 'em all, figuratively speaking of course! Quantum Leap is the best of the best!

  • Hopefully they will finally bring Doctor Samuel Becket home.

  • Quantum Leap is brilliant but Doctor Who will always be King for me.

  • BACK TO THE FUTURE!! :D!! And DOCTOR WHOOOO AWESOME!! MY FAVS!

  • cool. i'll watch it ;)

  • U forgot ziggy mr. paula he's always in it :D

  • Indeed, Quantum Leap is a favorite of mine, as well as Highlander.

  • The UK version of Life on Mars.

  • Terminator all the way

  • Quantum Leap = Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell.

Movie Executives : Get a clue, you suck at knowing what makes entertainment good. They are NOT, nor will they EVER, be "too old". We demand Bakula and Stockwell star in the movie!!

  • Ya, BTTF and Doctor Who

  • BTTF and Doctor Who

  • Totally doctor who!!!

  • Has anyone besides me ever heard of Time Traxx? It starred Dale Midkiff (Pet Cemetary) as a cop chasing criminals who have escaped to the past.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

for the love of god, somebody lock J.J.Abrams in a cupboard until it is finished.

i love Quantum Leap, ever since i was forced to watch it as a child by my Mother. but i also love Doctor Who and stuff like that.

  • I tried to watch Quantum Leap on Hulu.com but it won't let me because I'm not a member of huluplus .

Do you know were I can watch the shows for free.

    Thanks*:)

  • Dr.Who with the Ten Doctor and Back to the future.

  • Dr.Who,with the tenth Doctor,or Quantum Leap.

  • Awwwwwwwww....If Scott and Dean aren't in it. eventhough this was and is my all time favourites....... I won't waste my money to see it in theatres. I agree with you Jon. But I want to remember the show with Scott and Dean. no one else. No one can do that eye qyunt and the little shoulder shrugs like Scott and dean. Bellesario, this will crash at the theatres.... just skip the theatres and make it ready for DVD. Our favourites are the same.

  • One of my favorite Time Travel films is "Time after Time". It's about H.G. wells chasing Jack the Ripper, great flick!

  • Back To The Future.....lol

  • The new Star Trek film was good? Either we saw completely different films, or them there are some fightin' words. Granted, each film featuring the crew from TNG sucked in their own way, but the new Star Trek movie took the vestigial remains of Gene Rodenberry's (somewhat flawed) vision and flushed it down the toilet (although there wasn't much left to flush thanks to Rick Berman).

On its own merits, the new Trek was average at best. But I found it an insult to the franchise and its creator.

  • Freakin back to the future wins one of the best trilogies of all time

  • You can watch Quantum Leap on Hulu.com but a few episodes can't be watched without a subscription or a few are out right missing.

  • i loved the episode of quantum leap called the boogieman. Does any1 know where i can watch it online? Its the scary episode from season 3

  • Yu-Gi-Oh

    just kidding it's the doctor

  • Excited to see how DB takes the story to the big screen...

Right there with you on best time travel movie/show being Back to the Future and Quantum Leap but also "Time After Time" (1979) starring Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen is a great one that I loved since I was a kid. How ironic that the two of them went on to make other great time travel movies! And of course, I'm a sap so "Somewhere in Time" is up there for me as well.

    "Flux Capacitor....fluxxing..."

  • No Scott or Dean=FAIL!

  • retroactive back2futre and quantum leap

  • so basically you just copied dr. who...

  • Time Tunnel!

  • Seriously? I don't want to get my hopes up over this idea. I am a huge fan of Quantum Leap. MacGYVER had an episode or two when he went back in time. :D

  • no scott or dean...ugh

  • I agree with Jason Dolan. It would be good to see Scott once more take up the role of Dr.Sam Beckett and Dean Stockwell again step back into the shoes of Al Calavicci, Sam's womanizing, cigar-smoking sidekick and best friend, who appeared as a hologram that only Sam could see and hear. And umm, Jon Paula.. just a little fyi for you. Sam was the only one who travelled through time. For Al to get there, Ziggy (the computer) has to zero in on Sams brainwaves to appear in the holo chamber.

  • Quantum Leap is my favorite. I am sad to here that Scott and Dean won't be in it! I don't know if it will be worth seeing then.

  • I liked Early Edition too. I know I watched Quantum Leap...though now I really just try to find it for the opening.

That is one sweet, sweet opening.

  • If Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell are not doing the movie, then I see no point to it. The series finished without a real ending due to it's cancellation and the end of season episode being rewritten, I always had hopes they would return and finish it. So Quantum Leap with a new cast is just not Quantum Leap. All these studios going back over old material and remakes of things that were already done many years before with a different cast... they are awful movies.

  • I don't remember if I've seen any of the Star Trek ones, but they're probably awsome.

The only time-travel related movie I can remember seeing is Meet The Robinsons.

  • IF Scott and dean are not in the Movie why bother!

  • @racefan32 1000% agreed:)

  • I simply cannot believe that Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell will not be reprising their roles on this movie.Do the producers of this movie not realize that people who are actually fans of the series will not go see this stupid film?I for one will not be going. Thanks again to Hollywood...You guys suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • back to the futre and dr who

  • back to the future and doctor who

  • Quantum Leap, Star Trak ( The Original ), and Dr. Who. I need to do a video about this. Great video!!!

  • Ohhh I hope theyy don't ruin Quantum Leap. It's my favorite series. Who is going to play Sam and Al? Scott bakula and Dean Stockwell made those charecters.

  • @sleepingdragon261 actually a good pair....the winchester boys from supernatural!!!:)

    just a thought

  • Comment removed

  • I'm with you on Quantum Leap & Back To the Future as being favorite time travel movies. Although, Star Trek IV is right up there too. Love it! Awesome there is going to be a movie but bummed it's not going to star Scott & Dean. :) :( But we'll see. I'm willing to give it a chance. Star Trek turned out awesome with a recast. :)

  • Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure!

  • If it's a continuation, I hope they retcon that original ending though, because the show deserved a much better send off than what we got.

  • It is great that QL is going to be remade. Going to miss Scott and Dean though. I also liked Journeyman and was sad it only made one season.

  • You do a great job of asking your viewers questions and engaging them, almost as if having a conversation with people who can't respond in real time. And I also enjoy that you don't have to be a freak (Fred) to get attention from youtube viewers. Definitely enjoy your series.

Just saying. Back to the future=greatest

  • @KaelThunder - Thanks for watching, and sorry if can't respond to everyone individually!

  • Jon this movie sounds a lot like doctor who.I've never seen Quantum Leap and you make it sound just like doctor who,oh and I am not British so I am not like some doctor who fag, walking around the city dresed like Tom Baker.

  • BACK TO THE FUTURE THE BEST TIME MOVIE EVER.
