  • cheerleading is the fastest growing sport in australia at the moment and because it hasnt been around for long its hard to get into but there are a lot of great squads and no america isnt just better the ignorant person who said that has probably only seen this video of it and its old so have a look at some more recent ones and you'll see were just as good!

Moving to adelaide, does anyone know any cheer squads, that do stunts and tumbling etc. in Adelaide.

I'm already a cheerleader in England and done comps and stuff.

I can tumble and stunt so.. wouldn't want to give it up lol

  • well, their great and im in aus!! to be honest american cheerleaders have more tricks and are SLIGHTLY beta. but cheerleading isn't as popular in aus as it is in usa.

  • cheerleading is awsome fun and aus cheerleading is as good as usa cheerleading exept we do things a little different

  • i hate to say this about my own country but the americans r so gonna beat us no matter how hard we try we r still ants compered to them!

  • EmmahhBee

I am a UK cheer coach, my senior team is at level 4. Im coming to Oz travelling in October, I would love to teach you guys some stunts!!!!

  • i didnt even know we did cheerleading in aus lol

  • how old r they?

    i cheerlead in melbourne

victorian championships later this year :D

    cant wait..

  • i cheerlead in melbourne too. wats ur squad? i cheer for cheer factor

  • im guessing cheerleading is not as popular in aus bc when i went for 2 months this summer(your winter) there was no mention of it.

  • nope, it's not. i get dissed at my school for being a cheerleader. people r like '2,4,6,8' yup..

  • Yeah stunt cheerleading isn't as popular here, but we do have cheerleading. We focus more on the dancing side of it though.

  • i love cheerleading ever since the first bring it on came out n i luv the new 1 sooooo good this is great i didnt even know we did cheerleading in aus... im learning by watching routines n its fun but im 11 n not flexible!!! thats bad cos my cuz is 2 n is as flexible as shit lol :)LUv cheerleading keep workin on it luv ya mwa mwa XoXo

  • i love ur accent

  • i love cheering.. but americans are better than australians, not to be rude, okay?

    Steph

  • Well that is actually not true. The only reason that we're not as good is because in Aus americans cheerleaders are all seen as stuck up bitches so no one does it. I do cheerleading for South Australia and we don't do too many lifts because noone does cheer to teach us. And just because your american doesn't make u better. We both came from the same place. And by saying that your better than us does make you a stuck up cheerleader.

  • i agree. except for her being a stuck up cheerleader. coz of bring it on and stuff [even though i love it] no one does it coz they think we're stuck up. but my squad does tonnes of lifts. also, americans have probally been cheering since they could walk, where as we have not, it's only new here.

  • i agree with you

  • There sooooo not as good as american cheerleaders! but there pretty good! i didn't even know we did cheerleading here exept for those cheerleaders at the rugby or wtevr

  • well na dan of course americans are better. its more popular in USA n there arnt alot of squads in australia

  • this is sydney altitude...there really good they beat us at state for pom .... love watching these guys perform

  • guess what everyone!! next year ill be doing that! im going to Queensland for championships!!!!!

  • Yea, thats not TDC...

  • This team is not Townsville Dance and Cheerleading.

  • correct, it is not

  • this is nothing compared to the us nationals

  • lol i reckon they were good.. just a bit shaky

  • ehh, that was ohk, the only good part was the back tuck basket, everything else looked like it was middle school stunts, i mean even the halfs you guys did were shakey, but it was alright i guess.

  • this is not Australian Cheerleading just so everyone know Aus cheerleading comps are really just gymnastics not AUSTRALIAN CHEERLEADING

  • yeah thankx 4 that gymnasts dnt hav the refined techniques that Aussie cheerleaders have. sure their tumbling is excellect bt when it come to spirit they score low

  • the harder stunts were good.. but the easy stunts looked like they needed work

  • im pretty sure my cheersquad was there

townsville dance and cheerleading p,s this team is ok but ahh kept stuffing up urr wasnt too good sorry

  • good job!

  • it was good but the begginning was so.....welll when they were yelling it was annoying
