I drive the ol Ford bulletproof 7.3l powerstroke and can pull a brick house down. 5 speed manual with 410 gears and at 2300 rpm 550 ft of torque. But I tilt my hat to the Cummins;)
The " 'Ole 7-3 got 'Im. OK Kooter ! It better "Got 'Im" . 85 more cu inches, 1000 more rpm and 2 extra cylinders. The Dodge appears to be stock. NO SMOKE AT THE START LINE. " Woo Boy Howdy, How excitin' cain it gitt" Stroke yourself of a good one. Powerjokes and IzusuMax suck my d..... ah tailpipe at least once a week! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
nice vid! i have a early 99 PSD 7.3l came factory with the wicked wheel! i have 4 inch lift, 4inch turbo back stright pipe, K&N intake system and the edge evolution, i have my truck set at 0 stock on PCM and i will still smoke dodge or chevy diesels off the line or cruzing at freeway speeds and then punching it. I have only had my programmer on level 2 "80hp-150fpt" and its like a whole new truck. im not hating on dogde or chevy. BUT I LOVE MY 7.3L PSD and i dont even have the 99.5-03 :p
when i see people do this it seems pointless leave the racing for the cars trucks are not meant for speed they are built to hual and tow they r built to take the abuse
Good to see the ford won. I dont like all the shit talkin town kids who want a cummins because its all "loud" and "blows smoke, and the best truck because its got the most horsepower" The cummins is loud but not very good. We had a 95' cummins and bought it at 50,000 miles and sold it at 80,000 miles 3 trannies later
@54ford100 You say that, but your name has Ford in it? Let me ask you, what the hell do you buy a truck for? To say you have a truck? It sounds like it. For those of us that actually buy trucks to put them to work like they are supposed to be, we all know Ford is the best in the Truck Industry. There are pretty much three classes for the three manufacturers. Chevy - Luxury. Dodge - Simple driving, very little work. Ford - WORK. Do your self some research.
@JRFFRB Our company has used Dodge before, both 24v and 12v. The 2002's Tranny went out at 98,000. The other is still pulling, barely, with 160,000. We've still got a 87' 6.9 Powerstroke with 340,000 on it. My personal pump truck has 250,00 and it's an 02 7.3. Ford is more for work, so truck vs truck, Ford wins. If you are going to buy a truck for speed, buy one with a gas engine so that everyone else doesn't suffer to diesel fuel prices.
@DynamicKTM thats because the autos that dodge uses are fucken stupid i got one with 190 on it and its just startin to act up. not to mention the first 52k miles was hard towin with it.
ford always has best in class towing and payload and the new 6.7 has best in class tourqe, hp dont mean to much, do yall homework and then come back for a pop quiz!! IT also has best hp if im not mistaken. It has 390hp and 740tq!! do the math...EVEN THE F-150 has better tow and payload than chevy ford dodge and may i say, the other guys nissan and toyota!!!!
@greatwhite78 Powerstroke has the speed, Cummins has the torque and best sound, and Duramax has the best reliablity, combine them, the best Diesel ever!
@Motorfordtoyota Duramax has the best reliablity??? the Ford 7.3s and the cummins 5.9s will run well over 500,000miles if maintanced right, i dont see duramaxes running those numbers.
@Motorfordtoyota, the V8 diesels make more torque then the l6 do. the l6 is easer to work on then the newer V8 diesels but thats the only atvantage it has. alot of people think because the big rigs run l6 blocks that meant they tow better. however most cruse ships and locamotives run V blocks, its just aplication.
@fordking07, look at the 2011 duramax V8, 2011 Ford 6.7 V8 specs and then compair it to the 2011 6.7 cummins I6. When your done doing you homework let me know what engine has the most power HANDS DOWN (not in your pants).
actually looking at dyno sheets and stuff, both cummins and powerstrokes that put down the same hp, much of the time the ford actually shows more torque, it all depends on what chip u use
@joshthemo It really depends on the setup of both trucks. I raced my friend (who has an '01 Dodge 2500 24v 5.9 extended cab long bed, 98k miles, auto) in my truck ('96 7.3 F-250 extended cab long bed, 195k miles, auto), both bone stock, in a boosted 4wd launch. He initially jumped me so my front bumper was about even with the back of his front door, but once I hit 2nd gear i got the lead on him (his front bumper was even with the back of my cab) and it stayed that way until I let off.
the dodge has its advantages as well, that inline 6 puts out a lot more torque than the v8 does. and tow off have nothing to do with how much power a truck has, all has to do with traction, weight, and the driver
@joshthemo are you talking stock truck for stock truck or after modifications. Cuz factory specs are pretty even. Ill agree with ya if we're talking about a few "goodies" on either truck
Cummins is just a mess that a Stroker leaves behind lol
