  • hollpoll. I think Rivarossi screwed up mate. The tender on the big boys, challengers and they used some on 4-8-4 they all have three water fill openings on rear side(top) I don't see any on this loco. If you want, check out my vid: "model trains big boy 4015 & challengers"

  • Just for some information the Challengers where built in the year 1942 at ALCo where the big boy was built in the year 1941 at ALCo and the railroads that bot the Challengers are Rio Grande , Union Pacific, and Clinchfield are the railroads that have the Challengers and 1 of Union Pacific's Challenger up in Wyoming is still running and the 4-8-4.

  • Id like to buy a Clinchfield challenger very nice, for coupling you could go with a rubber band on hook and knuckle

  • HEY! You have a nice collection! Oh... i'm so jealous!

  • he could always try to have the copuling Changed so it can work with the british trains thats what my freind did when he ordered some hornby trains and he changed there copuling to americian though i like the hook and loop style better though but theres always an opition

  • no offence, i was refuring to the title of the video. you have a fantastic layout that i envy tremidously

  • not a bigboy

  • If you take the time to read the narrative I did say "the design was based on the Union Pacific Big Boys" which it was, as I was taken to task by another viewer !

  • read the narrative

  • It didn't belong to colonel stephens
