This problem just started up on my year-and-a-half old Moto Droid. Fortunately, Verizon offered me a chance to upgrade early a few months ago, and the offer still stands... so instead of paying to get this phone fixed, I'm just getting a new one. Probably the 4g HTC Thunderbolt as soon as I scrape together the $250 needed for the upgrade.
I'm having this problem too, I don't know what is going on... My problems start when the battery is nerly full charge. When it is running out of charge the problems reduce.
This was already resolved. I sent it to waranty and they fixed it. So, there isn't probably any software fix as they had to replace some hardware components.
Im also facing similar problem,I have brought milestone 6 months back,It started behaving like few weeks.Did you get your problem resolved in the Motorola service center ??.Please post your resolution here.so that it can help others with similar prolem
I'm having this same problem with my Motorola Droid, and it only started recently. It even happens in Safe Mode, but not every time I use the phone. I've done a lot of searching and most of the problems like this relate to chargers. Mine happens even when not charging, and I see yours does too. Do you have the holiday version of Angry Birds installed? Both times this has happened I've been playing that.
@tiagocardoso I was thinking it might be a heat thing too, and the problem has continued for me since yesterday. It does only seem to get weird after I've been using it for a little bit, rather than right after I start using it. I'm hoping maybe its only the battery... Please post what you find out from the store. Thanks.
this happened to my friends droid and it called 911

I am also facing exactly same problem, my cell phone is at service center. As per service center guy, this problem is related to display.

@QuadCityImages I didn't use angry birds. I suppose that this happens by overheating.. angry birds uses the cpu a lot so it gets really hot.
It's most probably a hardware problem. I'm contacting the store where I bought it.
