@Numerobis24 It can reach lower notes than what a violin can, but because the instrument is bigger the tone is a little different and deeper when it plays the same notes. Also depends how you play them ofc ^^ I think I'd have enjoyed the performance but the recording quality was too poor unfortunately.

I played Violin for 5 years. I recently switched to Viola and so far, I favor it in stead of the Violin. The Viola has a beautiful, deep, rich sound to it. All I can think of about Violin was squeaks. I still love the Violin very much, but I find the Viola much more beautiful. Viola players should be given more recognition. >->

That viola player waz spectacular!!! I'm a viola player myself and others will agree that we really don't get recognized more as we should. Because the fact of the matter is that viola is a really difficult instrument a lot more than the violin. VIOLAS ARE AWESOME!!!!!

Hey, not trying to sound rude or anything because I'm geniuinely curious, what actually is the difference between a violin and a viola? Honestly I have no idea (the only form of instrument I play is vocals, I stay away from physical instruments :P)

@xxTmeBombxx violins are slightly smaller and have a higher pitched sound, a viola is just a little deeper and as u can see in the video and have a richer sound to it. The viola consists of a, d , g and c strings but violins have a higher octave range and have g , d, a and e strings

Actually, the sheet music for the viola (alto clef) may appear to be an octave lower than violin, but the e,a,d, and g string are actually the same octave as the violin. Because of the difference in shape and size, the sound seems to be slightly higher.
