  • just get a bump key smartass

  • @rowdyQSTASR

What's the sport of using a a bump key? Every idiot can use a bump key... Second to that, bump keys only fit certain brands an models. Which will require you to carry around a shit-load of bump keys suitable for all the models you would like to open. While a small little piece of metal, called a pick, fits right in your pocket. And mastering Single Pin Picking and Raking techniques... it's just fun. Bumps are for crooks.

  • is this thing up for trade?

  • Great job!!

Is this the same lock as Frantic57744 is picking?

This lock looks more like the P210 then the P300 (which has 6 pins and a different look).

Would they have changed those locks?

    I'm confused :P

  • Well. I would like to tell you. The problem is that I purchased the lock w/o the original packaging. I looked at the product chart and the P300 was the closest lock I could compare it with. The P210 is way too small. and as far as I do understand the chart, the P210 hasn't got an interchangable cylinder... Sorry that I cant help you out on this one.

  • It does have an interchangable core (see my video of it), the 301 and 300 both have 6 pins.

But I did notice a 300 lock yesterday which is black and has a different logo, so apparently they did produce different models ....

  • redination: Which lock am I dealing with?

If the 300 series is 6 pins, which lock would big 5 pinner be? ... curious case of being lost in a vast product line :S

  • It's confusing.

I'll see if I can find something on the Yale website ;)

  • Nice picking ,

  • thanx 4 the responce m8 ts helped alot but avnt cracked it yet lol :D

  • That thing is nasty

  • Yep! It took me almost 2 mnths to get my head around it... To me, at least, it had been the most challenging lock in my collection.

  • Have u already found one? Otherwise I might give this one up for trade... depends what you would like to return. (I have to ship out some, promised, locks anyways... people kept waiting for them for almost a month now (sorry wiz)).

  • thats nice dude, id like to get my hands on one of those

  • Nice picking looks like you need some shorty wrenches almost lost it there wavy keyways on those yales real touchy feeley

    good job

    L8r

    Red

  • True, I had to torque it trough the top of the keyway... When the moment came that the plug started to spin, it lost grip and fell off. :)

Luckily the plug is not driven back by a spring!

    Cheers

  • is says it on the pack (most the time any way)

    and sometimes on the key

  • Threw away the packaging.. sry. The key only says: "Always use genuine YALE keys". Which it said on all of my YALE locks.

No type, no number, no nothing. Sry mate

  • wow sweet lock wat key blank wat that m1 maby???

  • Yeah, she's a beauty: But, what were you asking?

  • wat key dos it use tipe dos it use

  • Aaah... for keyblanks! Dunno mate, never got into that (yet). How can I find that out?

  • Great skills. Good to watch man.

  • thx Dour, appreciated!

  • wicked looking key. looks like the tension wrench was giving a good response

  • This thing goes into a MAJOR false-set... alot of travel on the wrench... and it's not uncommon that all your pins become unset doing this :D
